“Stunningly great experience. First purchase was a CPO Rolex Daytona WG Meteorite Racing Dial. Sent a request in and Alex L pinged me the next day. Three texts, one call, wire transfer, done. Picked it up at the Chestnut Store in downtown PHL on my way through town. TBH anb who's kidding who, I made a special trip to see the firm, Alex and meet/greet while receiving my watch in person. First time I've bought CPO and it's a winner. Got home 3 days later and my wife picked out a new Cartier Tank. Sales closed via wire and it was in the FedEx to us that night. 1916 is a great firm, excellent selection and inventory, Tom Mosso/1916 YT channel is great as is the website. I even got a handwritten thank you note and small gift for our purchase. Old school effort and execution with new world reach. We'll def be back sooner than later.”

“Stellar Service and Exceptional Products I’ve been a loyal customer since 2010, back when they were known as Govberg, and the level of service has consistently exceeded expectations. Over the years, I’ve purchased many watches from them, and while I may not technically be a VIP, I’ve always been treated like one. One particular watch I had been pursuing for years was nearly impossible to acquire due to long waitlists, limited production, and high demand. I ultimately decided to explore the pre-owned market. From the very beginning, I’ve worked exclusively with George Mayer, who is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also an exceptional person. His expertise and dedication made the process seamless—he sourced the watch, negotiated a fair deal, and ultimately helped me secure my grail timepiece. I’m truly grateful to him and his team. Beyond sales, their support with servicing and parts has been just as impressive. I’ve entrusted them with several of my watches, and every experience has been excellent. “I have long searched for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre early version and was pleased to find 1916 Company had the time piece as I had done business many times with them in the past. I traded a few pieces from my collection in towards this timepiece as was excited to receive the new watch acquisition - unfortunately, the chronograph complication was defective with the seconds wheel reseting to 1 vs 0. I returned the piece and requested JLC service and am waiting for an update.”

“Decided to acquire my grail Rolex, the pre-ceramic Daytona with white dial, and spent considerable time testing various selling outlets. Having a prior excellent transaction experience with 1916 (actually Watchbox) this group was high on my list. Given the current high-quality Daytona fakes in the market decided the Rolex Certified Pre-Owned was direction for me as knew this older Rolex would be authentic and in perfect working order. With that decision it was easy to chose 1916 as their pricing is the absolute lowest in the Rolex CPO market, and worked with Alex who patiently answered my inquiries and sent me additional pricing comps. Transaction was very easy to conclude, with shipping accommodated for delivery on the day and early time that I wanted. Alex followed up to insure that all was well with the watch. 1916 brings confidence in buying an expensive watch that is authentic, and makes the transaction easy and very satisfying. Top of my list for future purchases!”

“August was patient polite and professional. He answered my questions and insured me that I was making the right purchase. Because the purchase was late on Friday on Labor Day weekend , the sale was completed before close of day and he called first thing Tuesday and sent me the sales receipt and arranged shipping thru Fed Ex. My watch arrived 11:00 Thursday September 4. So far,so good!”
