“I had a fantastic experience working with the 1916 Company, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. In particular, Rich Taver was an absolute pleasure to work with—knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He guided me through everything with my Lange 1815 Up/Down and made the entire process seamless and enjoyable, from helping me service the watch to strap purchases. Rich also helped me secure a Submariner, and his professionalism and attention to detail really stood out throughout. It’s rare to find that level of service and enthusiasm, and it made all the difference. I’m looking forward to continuing my relationship with both Rich and the 1916 Company in the future.”

“The 1916 Company is an excellent place to browse and purchase luxury watches. I was looking for my first Rolex watch but wasn't quite sure what I wanted until I saw them in person and tried them on. For reference, I have a 2025 white Omega Speedmaster and 2007 Planet Ocean and but I really wanted a GMT complication for travelling. I had a great conversation with Juan Carlos and he noted my interest in a GMT-II. I knew it would be a long wait but that's what I wanted. A few months later I updated my interest with a Polar Explorer 2 which I had tried on at a different AD while I was on vacation. To my surprise, Juan Carlos called me in a couple days and said it was available. The 1916 Company has great sales associates who are very responsive and definitely know their products. I hope to be doing more business with them in the near future.”

“I went in to the 1916 store on opening day in my work clothes, which was jeans, t-shirt and safety boots. Surprisingly, I was welcomed in. From that moment on I was treated like a king. The entire staff were excellent. I was first brought to the previously owned section and was shown some beautiful time pieces but I knew exactly what I wanted. I have known for years. The all gold blue dial submariner. I was then taken to the new section and was introduced to Angel. She brought me to a room and allowed me to try on the watch of my dreams. It was the only one in the store and was meant for display, so I was expecting to have to place an order and wait for months to get this watch. Angel, then left the room and brought in various people to meet me and talk about the watch. Before long she gave me hope that I could walk out of there that day with my dream piece. After some conversation about my interest and reasons behind wanting this watch, Angel made it happen. I have told this story many times to all my watch lovers in the South Bay, who I have sent your way. Due to this experience I will be dealing exclusively with The 1916 Manhattan Beach as I build my collection out. Thank you for making dreams come true!”

“.our store experience was most satisfying. Staff very helpful and courteous. Having the opportunity to use the watch for over a month has been good, not great. I wish that having a self winding watch I didn't need to wind it 2-3 times per week and rest the time each time. I now wind it every two days regardless. Self winding not really. Other self winding watches never had a issue with them.”

“I have been buying my wife jewelry sometimes I surprise her , sometimes we shop together. She always loves the jewelry and the complete experience. John Burba has always been there there to make sure everything goes right. I haven't slept well also took my son to get his graduation present there as well he picked out a beautiful Breitling watch. It was a great experience. I have also purchased some watches for some of my top salesmen. The service is always the best. I will continue to come back for all my future needs.”
