Every time I booked a lesson, and booked time off work / swap days off to fit around the schedule, the lesson would be cancelled at 12am (roughly 8 hours before lesson). This has happened on more than 1 occasion. If you actually want to learn to drive and not just waste time constantly booking lessons just for them to cancel as it's not convenient for the instructor the night before, I'd stay far away from these. Terrible service and customer service. I will find the instructors name and address to this review. In the Watford WD3 area.

Avoid Andre Quincani he is absolutely the worst instructor you will ever come across and AA will not do a thing about it even with previous complaints, the online chat does not work, the phone number provided tells you to go on online chat and hangs up on you. There is no email confirmation of asking for your refund and you can’t get refund on the lesson taken as the driver decides if you get a refund not AA. I eventually got partial refund after being persistent. Andre Quincani is a threat to learners and other drivers on the road. Kept telling me to keep going when the double dashed white line required me to stop and check for oncoming traffic on junctions. Changed my lesson time on the day of my lesson after sending 5 essay messages with his very own terms and conditions which he sais ‘dates and times of your lessons will be changed by me…’ he can change the lesson time whenever he wants but if I don’t agree with it I must in his words ‘then you can cancel that booking yourself and book another one that fits you’ which is not true because the system won’t allow me to change the lesson in short notice I would end up losing my money. He changed my lesson time 5 hours before my lesson but requires me to give him 48 hours if I want to change the lesson time. I only started driving 40 minutes into my lesson. Insisted I had to book 6 hour lesson just to go on the dual carriageway as it was very far away (lies). Initially kept jumping onto the steering wheel when there was absolutely no threat nearly injuring my arm till I gave him a look then he stopped and when I asked why he reached to the steering wheel he pretended not to hear or understand. He might even have hearing problems related to age as he didn’t understand many things I said to him. Didn’t give me any feedback just agreed with what I said. He tried to end the lesson 15 min early and when he realise I would not be booking 66 hours with him he started to get rude and started saying I would not pass my driving test and refused to let me practice parking when I had time. Didn’t come up with any lesson plan. Waffled on speaking slowly until my lesson time was up and then rudely left the car abruptly leaving me in shock but it got worse, he want to the boot and got a hoover while I went over to shake his hand then he proceeded to hoover the seat I sat in. Stay away from AA go indy they don’t value learner drivers at all.

Minara Bibi - avoid this instructor. She talks a lot so a lot of session time is wasted at her talking at you. She is very good at bringing your confidence down and persuading you need a lot more lessons before test ready. And lastly, her pricing is dodgy. She charges upward of £200 quid on test day. Avoid her.

Their driving instructors drive like they have a blind fold on. Cut me up, brake checked me and then had the nerve to give me abuse. Must have forgot he was driving the company car.

I have had a very bad experience with the AA. My instructor was a trainee and didn't pass his ADI part 3. I requested for a refund of more than £300 as of the 6th of November and still haven't received it. I had a chat today 13th of November with the same person only for him to tell me that I hadn't requested for a refund. Unfortunately for him I had a screenshot of the chat so referred him to it. Very incompetent person he was. I even requested to speak to someone else other than him but he didn't let him. It has really stressed my out as I have booked a lesson with a private instructor and going to use that money to pay for it. I'm very disappointed with The AA.

Horrible driving school, my driving instructor was constantly on his phone throughout lessons, had a bad temper and sometimes became very rude or blunt. Did not learn ANYTHING in my lessons and didn’t realise quite how bad he was until I change company and instructor. When reported to AA they told me the instructor denied all of this and put the blame on me, they then said unless I have evidence it cannot be investigated. What evidence would I have? I’m not the one that has a phone on during the driving lesson

I had a very unpleasant learning experience with the instructor, Salam Khan, from AA. He became aggressively angry easily, which made me, as the learner, very uncomfortable and nervous when driving. By "aggressively angry," I mean he would sigh and make a cold face, or shout whenever I made a mistake. I decided to quit after the first package and joined another driving school. I then obtained my license within a few months. In summary, I found the AA service unprofessional and would not recommend it at all.

Suddenly my instructor cancelled my all classes without any explanation. When we contact to AA they said instructor is no longer working with them. Even I booked test date it’s next 2 weeks. Moreover they don’t have another instructor. This is not expected from the big brand AA driving classes. No solution I get from them.

Be aware The AA does not take ANY responsibility for their driving instructors. You pay via their website and the car might have an AA sticker on it, but the instructors are independent contractors. If a problem occurs (which it did in my case) you can expect zero support from The AA and will simply be told that is not their problem.

Out of 4 lessons booked , all 4 cancelled by instructor, 2 within an hour of the lesson, other 2 within 24 hours. Waste of time, would highly not recommend

Avoid instructor Andre Quincani like the plague unless you have money to burn. He will expand his ‘plan’ to include as many lessons as possible. Over a years worth of lessons and still hadn’t covered everything. Wanted to spend 12 hours just on learning roundabouts. AA did nothing about my complaint.

I have called 3-4 times now and always told Rob Stacey is the one that deals with my area and he will call me back but till this day never heard anything from him. Not great service.

Driving instructor drip-fed me training to maximise the number of very expensive lessons I was booking. His ‘plan’ would have involved 80 hours if I hadn’t challenge it, including 5 two hour lessons just on roundabouts. Exploitative to the point of fraud. AA did nothing about it when I complained.

Using a Cardiff AA instructor who's on her mobile phone throughout the lesson, not noticing when pupil's checking mirror then telling pupil mirror should have been checked! asking pupil to stop outside shop so that she can pop in, seems to be dragging out the lessons. Other pupils appear to have had the same experience also.

would give zero if i could first lesson booked with Sabir in Bristol for Tuesday morning 0830am, then Monday night around 9pm, he text to say he cant make it and will need to be rearranged, i get that these things happen and was disappointed, however greed for this Sunday at 3pm, and the Sunday at 2.35pm 25 mins before the lesson, he cancelled again. absolutely unacceptable, how can you then trust this instructor again and the AA. warning to you all if you have Sabir George as your instructor, beware he will let you down.

Beware of Marc Hinton!! Just because you can drive doesn’t mean you should be an instructor. His teaching style left me feeling uncomfortable and anxious to be in a car with him. I would ask him what to do then when he didn’t answer or gave unclear instruction and i did it wrong, i was left being shouted at. He then went on that if my concentration wasn’t there then i should of cancelled my lesson, but i would say it is quite hard to concentrate when you’re on the brink of tears due to his aggressive demeanour. He made me feel anxious when i made errors, when he should be reminded that I am LEARNING how to drive, if I knew how to drive perfectly then I wouldn’t be paying him money to teach me. All in all I felt unsafe in my experience of driving with Marc, do not recommend!!!
