On the day of my anniversary as I was driving to target to get some final touches for my wife’s gift my e90 shuts off and will not turn on. After trying some parking lot diagnosis I was unable to come to a conclusion. Me and my wife then go to home depo and buy a tow strap to bump tow the e90 home. The next couple weeks I’m checking everything and finally come to the conclusion there’s an issue with my DME. I was recommended ECU pro by the shop formen of my local BMW dealer. So after sometime I finally decide to send me DME in. Unfortunately my DME was not repairable but! The team at ECU pro was able to clone my DME for half the price of a replacement. The team at ECU was very responsive and even sent me a video of my DME and the clone they prepared showing me how it would work installed. Once I got my back I quickly installed it and boom! My car was drive able again! Really happy with my experience and would use them again.

This Guy's Are the Best. Gave Us Support the Whole Way. At First we Decided to Buy a used unit on EBAY. Spend a lot of time looking for a compatible Unit. We found one. Bought it mail it to the ECU Pro's. Find out it was worse than my original. Wasted Two weeks. Just to save a Few Bucks. Then we Bought one unit from the ECU Pro's. We knew that it was a sure Thing, Rather than look for another Compatible unit and hope it was a Good one. And waste another few Weeks. Got it Home Plug it in. Started Right Up. Like Old Times. The Car was Down for Seven Weeks. Thank You ECU Pro's.

I have zero faith that my equipment went through proper testing. After 11 days I received an email from a tech, not my issue, that’s totally fine, I know things take time. In the email he explained that he tested my “DME” and couldn’t duplicate any of my issues along with an attached video of him doing that test. I immediately felt like there had been a misunderstanding. I did send my DME but only because of the instructions for sending in my FEM to be tested. I sent several emails, and in their defense I sent several because I was freaking out trying to let somebody know there may have been a mistake BEFORE they package and send my equipment back. I did get an email back and also a phone call pretty quickly and kudos for that. I explained my concern to the guy and he said he “felt confident” that they actually DID actually check my FEM module but typed “DME” in my email in mistake. He said “they usually test them together” I then explained that the video that I got, showed “unique customer number” tags on the equipment that DID NOT match the “unique customer number” that I was advised to attach to my order. The number was completely different in the video I received and showed a test being done with the guy getting out of the car and showing the DME under the hood. The guy on the phone said “oh yeah that number on the equipment changes sometimes when the tech gets the equipment” WHAT?? Why on earth would they be so adamant in expressing the importance of displaying your “unique customer number” so there isnt any mixed up equipment and then just apply a completely different number to your equipment when they get it. My number was 31138, the number on the equipment in the video I received was 41113. Make this make sense. I feel like they EITHER tested the wrong piece of equipment I sent OR the video that every customer gets is a copy/paste video that gets put on every email that goes to customers. This is not a accusation, this is just the feeling I got from this. Maybe they did test all my equipment, I really have zero way to prove it was or was not tested but I do know that the scenario I experienced left me completely unsure if I can eliminate this problem from the issue I’m having with my car. So I’m left having to pay another fee with another organization so I can reliably eliminate a bad/good FEM module from troubleshooting the issue with my car. Keep in mind I am NOT claiming that my equipment WAS NOT tested. I’m am saying that how this scenario played out for me, I could NOT walk away feeling confident that my FEM module is not my problem. I don’t know how this goes as a company from behind the scenes. I know this is a day in and day out everyday thing for these guys, but for me this was the first time I’ve ever had to do this and my experience was not good. I don’t know why the equipment ID numbers in the video don’t match the number the customer is given, I’m SURE they have a legit and important reason why that is done, but as a customer I can say it removed all confidence that my equipment was tested correctly. I’m not writing this to warn future customers away from this service, from what I can tell these guys are very good at what they do, but more as insight that this process does not leave the customer feeling confident they got what they paid for. I felt like the price was fair, the completion/return time process was fair, but that ID number and that email verbiage , not so sure about that. Troubleshooting these cars is riddled with uncertainty to begin with and this experience didn’t help me with that.

ECU did a diognosis on my ECU for a 2009 SL550. The car would intermittently shut off. There were times the first start would not work, but the second attempt worked. I sent them the unit off the car. Within a few days I got an email confirmation of them receiving my ECU. A couple days later I received the diagnosis and supporting photos of the ECU showing the unrepairable damage. I elected to have a replacement programmend and sent to me. After install, the car is starting as it should, and I have yet to experience any shut downs while driving. Total turn around time was just over two weekks. Couldnt be happier with the service or advice to diagnose the issue. So far so good, the weather is perfect for the top to be down, and Im on the road again.
