Having worked for a designer watch company I can vouch for their knowledge of the product. Staff at Chester branch know what they are doing and take great care of the watches they repair. You pay for the quality of the service.

Found it helpful that scratches were identified before job was accepted this way there could be no disputes when watch returned.

I asked Watch Lab to restore a 1983 Record watch which was my Late Fathers retirement watch. The watch had previously been dropped into water many years ago and despite repeated repair attempts has never worked properly since. The watch has been lying in a drawer for the last 29 years. I tried to wind the watch and the crown wheel came off. As the watch is of great sentimental value to my Mother I decided to get it restored. I took it to the Watch Labs Glasgow store and was attended to by a lovely Lady called Jessica Slinger. Jessica was very knowledgable and gave me a price for the restoration which included a new mechanism, crown wheel, glass face and new strap. The watch seems to be working fine now. Although the restoration was not cheap ( probably about twice the value of the watch ) my Mother was absolutely delighted with the watch. Hopefully it will now work as it should for many more years to come.

My 50 year old Omega watch needed a routine service and adjustment as it was gaining. The Leeds branch gave me a precise estimate of cost, and returned my watch three months later in pristine condition and spot on timekeeping. The downside is that it was VERY expensive. I gave Watch Lab a try because of poor service via local agents and Swatch, in the past. They were expensive, but never got it right first time. Watch Lab were able to give a more precise quote, and gave a better outcome, but at about twice the previous price. The service would rate as very good, but its difficult for me to judge the value.

Professional and capable and polite staff who were well able to assess the metal strap repair (Seiko steel 3 dial blue face watch) required and suggested a "valet". I also bought a Super Dry plastic watch for my daughter at same time which was discounted. When returned to collect both assistant had forgotten to note that I still needed to pay for Super Dry as well as the strap repair. Different assistant did not realise until colleague alerted him. I could have left with free Super Dry......but of course I already had my card out ready to pay. Systems issue? Overall good professional efficient non complicated service by very personable young dudes. But nearly a cock up with paying. Also much less intimidating than going into formal high street jeweller!

Great service, courteous staff. Service of my watch took TEN weeks, totally unacceptable. Cost extortionate. Should have been half the price in half the time.

My watch needed a new strap. I was advised Gucci no longer made a black strap and could only get brown there was no other option given to me. I said I would collect the watch then. It was a few days later that someone asked what I was doing about it and I explained I did not want brown to be told they could get a generic black strap. This has now been done and I was give a refund but I would have liked to have been given the option earlier.

Took G shock water resistant watch for battery replacement as another company said they would have to send it away. Was available for pick up in one hour which is excellent. My only concern was the £29.95 cost! And the water resistance isn't guaranteed! The watch is 17 years old and of sentimental value. It would cost probably £5.00 to buy on ebay. More fool me.
