Have had many beautiful items from The White Company and have always been very satisfied. However, in June I bought the Borg gilet with elasticated side ties. Looked gorgeous but have only worn it once, the ties loosen when worn and the back is shorter than the front. Sadly won’t be wearing it again as looks and feels very uncomfortable.

The item I ordered was delivered late and then only because I ran to query it. I also paid for the gift packaging for a small bracelet. When it arrived it was a big box with just the bracelet chucked in the corner. I returned it to our local shop who refunded the cost of the bracelet but could not refund for the gift box or post and packing. I was also informed that this is the smallest size box they do. A fact not mentioned on the website and in fact pictures of the boxes do show a smaller box. The only good thing was when I complained to customer services they refunded the post and packing and for the gift box. However it was a very disappointing experience of the White Company and I am just relieved that I didn’t get this delivered direct to my friend.

Terrible customer service full of promises!!! What happened to the white company from years ago?? I spoke to customer services several times and no one bothered to contact me back. I was your regular customer but I felt very disappointed last time I spoke to you.

I ordered an item and have had exactly the same experience as another recent reviewer, in fact it could have been written by me. I still haven’t received my order, and when I contacted customer service, I was told they couldn’t confirm when, or even if, I would receive it. The response was, “You might receive it you might not you'll know in another 72 hrs.” I’m so disappointed, especially as I’ve ordered a lot from The White Company over the years and have always associated the brand with quality. What makes this situation even worse is that The White Company’s own stated values being "Passionate, Resourceful, Imaginative, Dedicated, and ensuring Everyone is valued" seem completely absent from my experience. The company also claims that “putting the customer at the heart of everything we do is a founding principle.” Sadly, my experience has been quite the opposite. If the company is currently experiencing difficulties in keeping up with orders or supply, it should be honest with customers and communicate this clearly in advance. Transparency and proactive communication would go a long way in maintaining trust and loyalty. When a customer is having a poor experience, your team should be focused on finding a solution, not responding with, “I don’t know,” and then following up with, “Is there anything else I can help you with today?” That approach isn’t great for the customer or the representative, as it leaves both feeling powerless and frustrated. At this point, The White Company has my money, yet I have no idea whether I will receive my order or a refund. That is simply unacceptable. The White Company, listen to the call, reflect on your values, and most importantly, reflect on the customer experience you are currently providing. You are great until things are not.

Not Recommended. 1. Only part of my order arrived. After querying it they decided to cancel the remaining part. They did not offer a full refund, a replacement or explanation. On receiving the partial refund I contacted them. Eventually they offered a £5 gift voucher although I understand by law that if they cancel your order you are entitled to your money back, not a voucher. 2. I purchased the Egyptian Cotton Duvet cover and matching pillowcases 200 thread count. Lovely out of the packet but absolute NIGHMARE to iron. They remain crumpled-looking despite a steam ironing. So they will never look as they did when they were first unwrapped.

Order not sent even when I telephoned 3 times to say I was going on holiday, they said they would send next day delivery but that didn’t happen. I ordered Lemon shower get and body lotion disappointed as it does not smell much of lemon 500ml so going to last a long time, texture of body lotion is nice.

Money to spend. Gift vouchers to spend. Can never find anything to fit and flatter. Few tops/jackets/ coats from White Company to 5’ tall size 10 woman. Even t shirts not available unless you have perfect neck as neither high or low! No wonder collared t shirts such a basic!

Very disappointed with the large Helston chandelier. Extremely time consuming and difficult fitting the 800 glass rods. Electrician took 2 hours to put rods in place in one, and my husband has spent 4 hours so far and it is not complete. Reviews on White Company are 'selected'. Customer service/support very poor.

We ordered a bed and realised the next day it was going to the wrong address. We immediately called The White Company and they told us to wait until we had the shipping information to cancel it. Once we received this, we called them back and were told we should have phoned immediately after we realised the order was wrong! We then stopped the order with the shipping company as advised, and the shipping company told us to speak to The White Company about cancelling it. So we called back to ask them to do so and they told us AGAIN that they can't. Have asked to speak to a manager several times and they always say no one is available. This has caused us so much stress as we are trying to move home and have paid close to £1000 for this bed. We've had to order another bed to the correct location (obviously not from The White Company, I can NEVER shop there again) and we are still not sure if we will ever get this money back. Absolute nightmare, would only shop in person and god help you if you have to use their customer service. They need the system sorting ASAP

Flowers handwash has a different fragrance. The handwash has a-significant number of additional ingredients and no longer has a few ingredients. There is no mention of change in scent on website and no response from online chat!

New season (2025) clothing. I have placed many orders with The White Company. I was excited to receive their catalogue for fall 2025. Placed an order for what looked like a gorgeous high end cowl neck top. Described as 'pearl' in a new 'japanese' fabric. This top was by no means a thrift purchase at £170.00 but looked really lovely and I had a 15% discount with free delivery so went ahead. The parcel arrived today in one of the smallest boxes they must have looks about 9 inches, then filled inside with heavy duty packing paper (needless)! The garment inside is so creased because of the way in which it's been packed. Very disappointing! Aside from the overall creasing it is just ok. Nothing special at all. It is cream, crepe like fabric again nothing special about it. All in all really rather a disappointment. Sort out your packers please as to receive something in this state is really unacceptable!

The inner plugs on the scent diffusers are basically impossible to get out. I ruined one knife and a couple of fingernails. I eventually got them out with brute force, pliers and a lot of bad language. There is a box on the website offering live chat but it doesn't work.

This company is a joke. I ordered a jumpsuit that did not fit which I returned. They made me pay for the returns and also deducted a further £5 from the amount I paid for the jumpsuit. Ridiculous, will never use again.

I have bought many quality items from The White Company in the past and found their customer service very helpful as well. However, I recently ordered two duvet covers (separately) and discovered, to my annoyance, that Evri was the designated delivery company for both. Evri is entirely unreliable where we live. They claimed the parcel was too big. They claimed they tried three times to deliver -- I promise you they never tried once. They returned my orders to The White Company without having made the slightest attempt to deliver. If I had known Evri was to be the carrier, I would not have bothered ordering. If there had been an option to pay extra to get a delivery company that actually, er, delivers, I would have done so, but there is no such option. Will NEVER order from The White Company again. Am happy to buy from them when I am actually in a shop -- quite rare -- but under no other circumstance. So long, White Company.

Ordered a gift and a large gift box to house it to be sent directly to a friend. The order was split so arrived 4 days apart so somewhat diluted the intention of what was a nice gift. Customer services basically just said that’s the situation and that will always be the case. Very uncaring.

I ordered a few items on 30 June. I queried on ‘chat bot’ where they were. They cancelled the order this morning. I wanted and had paid for the items. What do I do? Never ordering from them again.

They do not allow to cancel orders. Apparently their system does not allow this. This is very inconvenient when you eg pay with PayPal. Whilst other retailers, when you are prompted to pay with PayPal, redirect you to confirm your order this is not the case with The Whitecompany. Once you have paid with PayPal, that's it! You placed the order! So it will be sent to the address that's in your PayPal account. This would not be a problem if I would order for myself but if I order a present for someone else I would rather have it sent straight to that person. I just don't understand why The Whitecompany is not repairing these online ordering issues. It seems not that difficult to fix.

Does not allow you to cancel orders!!! they said they could on the phone when I called then they emailed to say this wasn't the case. In that exact same email, they said they could redirect the delivery to a collection point where it could be returned and refunded if not collected. BUT when I phoned immediately after receiving the email, they said this wasn't true also. I paid extra for premium delivery, and now its being sent to someone else.
