The only major online retailer that charges for returns, very disappointing. I won’t be shopping there again

I purchased a travel air purifier used 2 drops of WC essence as recommended. I charged it, then left it unplugged and on overnight. It completely burnt out, black smoke billowing in the bedroom. I believe it’s fire hazard.

Wrong item sent to me, even though it was £30 more expensive than my item I called them and sent it back. I then re ordered my items, they said they’d be delivered. I waited in for them - nothing appeared. Then I got an email saying they went to my local post office. I went to collect them… nothing. I called them and said forget it - give me a refund. Well I’m still waiting on that refund 2 weeks later. Absolutely awful! Don’t waste your time, I was on hold for 30 minutes and I’ve called them 4 times. It’s seriously not worth it. The time I’ve spent chasing this far outweighs the item.

Have always loved this brand but experience of late really disappointed. Marlow store never have a good stock of size 12.. found the staff inexperienced and not helpful. All I wanted was a pair of Jeans + a cardigan that I liked … but no sizes.. would have spent over £200.. will not be going back.

i am so so disappointed with the customer service received here. they are a huge company but their customer service is appalling. i had a gift voucher that expired due to extenuating circumstances and they would not even consider extending or renewing my card. they were not polite about it either, i don't understand this approach as all the other shops i had cards from immediately renewed mine. i wil never shop there again.

I like everything from The White Company, I love their clothes and it’s a great shop to find lovely presents. I bought a few of the summer “Ciao” pouches as gifts, they are adored by all of my friends I bought them for.

The products are great and really tempting, but they don't understand the concept of "customer service". Ordered some fabric samples for one of the gorgeous beds but 3 weeks later I am still waiting for them. Have asked for some to be sent out first class so I can make a decision between suppliers but no reply. How can I order an expensive bed and be sure they will deal with any issues if I can't get a few fabric samples?

Really bad customer service from the get go. Super big hassle when returning a couple items. Way way overpriced for the quality. Will never do business with White company again.

We have been waiting over a year to return an item but they wont send over customs forms as requested by the post office because there label doesn’t cover fees.

I bought several items, one was a jumper labelled £77.00. At the till I was charged £115.00. When I queried this I was told that was the online price, the label was wrong. I asked for a refund and was treated like I was being difficult. I complained to customer services who offered me a £20 online voucher but were totally indifferent. I won’t be shopping there again.

I spent a fortune in Bone china set of plates Symon but they are faulty. DO NOT BUY THEM. They are meant to be dishwasher safe but after a few washes they look awful and not shinny anymore and with marks everywhere. I am extremely disappointed with the quality and the customer service received. I tried to escalate the case but I have being ignored. Customer service limited to say they cannot do nothing because I bought them 1 year ago but plates are meant to last longer than that right? I asked if they could at least advice in aftercare but not even that! Looking their website, they don't seems to have reviews and now understand why... I tried to write a review but there is not an option. Obviously their reviews are fake...

Hi White Company I purchased a jacket online in your Grand Central Station branch 6/2. Despite being told there would be a returns label in parcel, no such label was enclosed. Item returned 13/2. You acknowledged receipt of parcel. I am still waiting for my refund to be processed, having dealt with 3 telephone assistants, Katie, Jordan, Ethan, Now told it should be in my bank by 3/3, if not to ring again. Not good enough. Why should I have go fight tooth and nail for a refund. Not experienced this kind of service with any other company when shopping online. Pity. You have lost 3 customers!

Purchased lights fitment that was delivered to a neighbour but no one lives at the delivered address. White company have been messing about for near to a month saying they are looking in to it. Called today and was told to report it to the police. I have decided to make a claim via PayPal to try and get my money back as the police are not willing to give me a crime number & have basically laughed that the white company would advise me to do such a thing.

Well I was just about to order a beautiful blue and white jumper from your spring collection but gosh when I read the reviews I absolutely changed my mind. Thanks to all who took the time to give a review or I could have been down €159. Shocking reviews from a real favourite shop of mine. I always buy from the shop never online.

Terrible service.I have a gift vouchers from white company,they told me there is no expire date,came to the shop and they told me they are not except them anymore!so I lost £60 , terrible service, didn't expect that from white company

I wanted a duvet that didn't contain ay animal products i.e. down. The White Company sell an alternative to down duvet so I thought this was great. However, when I contacted them to ask what they filled it with, they responded with an ambiguous answer of 'super fine recycled fibre'. Eventually, they confirmed that they use recycled down! Utterly astonishing and blatantly misleading. If you're vegan or just don't want to use down, beware, the Alternative to Down duvet still has down in it!

Shame can't give no stars. Products great but costumer services are more than shocking, had numerous issues over the last 3 years. Even got a gift voucher as took 6 weeks and numerous calls and emails to get nearly £600 back. Yet you can only redeem one voucher. The merge voucher does not work, aparently my pc. Or is it so you buy more?
