“Love the concept of buying online, thought the colour selection process was great, packaging and time to receive via post also great. Got my husband to help applying product and we followed instructions with no concerns. The colour I selected was 'Roma' and of the understanding this would achieve a golden brown colour. The outcome was alot darker and more red in colour, disappointing as wanted to stay close my nature colour. Not sure how I feel about the overall experience. I would definitely talk about it with friends (have to because of the big difference in colour of my hair) but would say be weary of colour selection outcomes.”

Hi! We're happy to hear that you liked the overall product and would love to help you find your perfect shade! Roma has prominent warm secondary tones. All warm colours do include red tones in the base of the secondary tone, which is why our colourists ask not only what tones do you want to see in your hair, but also what tones you don't want to see in your hair. Also, warm tones absorb light and they do look darker than their technical colour level (cool tones reflect light and look lighter than their technical colour level). So a colour level which is the same as your natural colour, but which has warm tones, will look darker. “Hi, I was very happy with the products supplied, the only feedback I have is one of the reasons I color my hair is a couple of greys at the very front, I colored my hair 2 weeks ago and the color has already come away from the trouble greys, even with the grey softener product”

Some greys can be particularly colour resistant, unfortunately, and we're sorry to hear that the colour coverage didn't last over some of your greys. It would be helpful if you applied heat with your hairdryer just in the areas where you have the most stubborn greys the next time you colour. “I've used all manner of hair dye. This is ok. Hair not super shiny or super moisturised, but survived colour process. Colour still on brassy side despite picking ashy tone.”

“The product was great and easy to use. Definitely needed multiple packs for long hair. Colour was however still very warm tone and my roots were orange, so that was a bit disappointing. Would be great I you sold toner.”

Hi Alex, If your colour result was darker, that could only be because you either had darker colour pigments in your hair before colouring from previous colour, or your natural colour was more than two levels darker than level 6, as our colour can lift by two levels only. “The customer service was exceptional. The product itself I’m not that happy with, followed instructions & time frames and the colour was not as intense as shown on their product image. Within a week the colour has faded, particularly the roots.”

If your colour has faded so quickly, that indicates that your hair is porous (the outer cuticle of the hair is raised) which causes the colour to leak and fade. “They only send a reminder email if this months shipment right when they send it, so if u want to cancel u can’t. Product is ok- I still get scalp inflammation and seems to wash out after 1 or 2 weeks. So, no great staying power over my very tough greys.”

“For some reason my Shade colour Was a lot darker this time.... my hair was blondish and it turned out quite a dark brown. This has never happened before. Might have to try light ash blonde instead.”

“I honestly cant tell much difference on my hair or scalp between the Shade and supermarket brand. They both seem to burn my scalp :(”

“The product is good. Smells great and I especially love the conditioner. My only two issues are the cost, which is a little high and how long it takes to receive the order once shipped. I also found that when I have applied the product in the way suggested as a "touch up" rather than total colour change the grey coverage did not last. It seems the colour needs to be on longer. In regards to cost perhaps we could simplify packaging and just be sent product on its own.”

“The colour is ok - a bigger selection in the strawberry blonde/titian range would be appreciated. One pack is generous enough for longer hair so don't believe the upsell for the additional colour and developer. The free kit isn't worth the money. The clips have no gripping power for fine hair and the brush is next to useless. All up, quite a bit about this purchase proved to be a disappointment. Many supermarket brands perform as well and are far cheaper. I'll persist with one more kit before making a final decision.”
