“First time using this product. Looking for a cost effective way to colour my greying and ageing hair without killing it. The Shade products and accessories are great quality but I was hesitant because I've tried others and been very disappointed. I used the vitamin C pigment remover to reduce box dye buildup. Then my colour. In short: great value; great quality and easy to use. Absolutely 100% grey coverage. My hair feels beautifully conditioned. Early days yet but so far it's a yes from me 😊”

“I absolutely loved how my colour turned out, it was the perfect shade, easy to apply at home, and delivered a beautiful result. The only minor issue I encountered was that one of the developer packets had a small hole and leaked slightly. It wasn’t a major problem, but improved packaging could help prevent this in the future.”

“Just contacting you to say I'm so chuffed with my The Shade experience. Your consult (very impressive diagnosis!) as well as the shopping, and delivery - and then to unbox such a beautifully thought out package. Was not expecting shampoo, barrier cream, gloves or mini cape (I was probably in too much of a rush to read about that) And the clips/mixing dish and brush were a brilliant. Easy to follow steps - though I had to take over from my nervous husband (😆) but he did the back of my head. So stoked with the result - this will literally save me over a thousand dollars this year. Am definitely subscribing now. Please pass on my thoughts to the team - I wish I'd known about this years ago. As an avid Aveda user (that's all my sensitive scalp will allow) I am so excited to have found an at home alternative that won't make me break out in hives. “I have been dying my hair a lighter shade for some years not to help cover the greys. I was really worried about tring to colour my hair myself. After doing the survey and speaking via email with a colourist I ordered two colours and mixed them together. I am so happy with the colour!! The ordering was easy and fast shipping. “So happy I found The Shade! I'm not going back to the hairdresser now, love the service and the whole idea of getting a salon colour at home. Camilla from the online team was so friendly and helpful. She helped me find a colour for my hair. I wouldn't have had a clue otherwise if I didn't reach out. “Love The Shade products! I find ‘normal’ hair dye to sting so I initially chose The Shade for the ammonia free ingredients. I mix two colours to get a dark brown and it covers my hairs perfectly. I get compliments after every application as my hair is lovely and shiny after! Highly recommend!”
