Do not use this company. I am still waiting for plants and was told 12 days ago they were being despatched. Remembered that I had ordered a few years ago and the service was dire then. Wish I had remembered this time. They never answer their phone.

Ordered some tomato seeds over a month ago order number W9872675 still haven't arrived. emailed customer service no reply. Tracking app says busy try later, tried at about six o'clock on Sunday morning, same message, don't believe it's really working. Tried 'phoning customer service recorded message said that they were busy doing something else. Seeds will now arrive - if ever - too late to grow a successful crop. Can you please advise about claiming the refund you mention above. Yours etc N Creenan

Appalling service. Initial delivery was of dried up young plants. Twice phoned - kept waiting - cost nearly £4 : PREMIUM RATE - assured order to be redelivered - still waiting after one week. Emailed to request refund - no acknowledgement to date. Appreciate busy period but totally unacceptable business practice.

I received an email,6th April to tell me my plants had been dispatched. I ordered in March, good time frame all things covid considered. My bare roots and some bulbs arrived 22nd April. As yet (26th April) my dispatched plants have not arrived. I have emailed several times but no response. Will be seeking a refund. I have ordered plants from local garden centre now. I spent over £80 on t&m order. Wont be using them again.

This is the worst firm I have had the misfortune to deal with. Placed an order 3 weeks ago nothing delivered and I am unable to get in touch with them. Do not answer phone , emails ignored. No tracking information provided. I am out of pocked for nearly £100.

One packet of seeds wasn’t in the delivery even though ticked on the packing list. One packet of tomato seeds had no seeds in it - checked very carefully and another had only two seeds. Won’t buy from here again.

Worst trader I have had the misfortune in dealing with . They refuse refunds dont supply orders and make false promises . They seem to think the law does not apply to them and they dont have to do refunds. Avoid the wind up and avoid this lot or your likely to regret it..

Ordered Cherry, Nectarine & Peach tree on 7th March. Delivered Cherry on time, rest should have come within 7 working days, but no news. Every time when you call customer service, receive unhelpful answers. Yesterday, all of a sudden they cancelled Nectarine order, still no news about Peach. Terrible company, no communication, poor customer service.

I spent a fair amount of money buying mixed daffodils, all chosen to be different from the standard yellow type. None of them have turned out to be as advertised, the citrus sorbet ‘mix’ were in fact all the same plain yellow daffodils. Many of the bulbs have not grown at all and unfortunately the response from customer services was poor.

I ordered Thompson & Morgans "polyanthus garden ready plants - Polyanthus 'Most Scented Mix'. When they arrived the plants had no flowers or buds, basically just a mass of green leaves. I planted them thinking they would eventually bud and flower in due time. No that didn't happen ! All I have is leaves...certainly NO flowers and NO scent. A complete waste of money and I DON'T recommend Thompson & Morgan.

Purchased a cold frame at a cost of 39.99. It arrived well packaged but it is very poor, flimsy, lightweight, plastic panels for the lid would not stay in place, I had to put extra strong tape on the inside and outside to keep it in situ. The first evening it blew over in the wind and exposed the content. I am very disappointed and wish I had spent the money on buying plants.

Mouldy spring bulbs, especially the tulips. Won't be buying from Thompson and Morgan again

I would not recommend buying tulip bulbs from T&M. Purchased 2 packs of mixed Darwin variety and received such a poor quality bulbs I was astounded. Cut, damaged, mouldy and not just a few (thought the quality control, if there was any should not allow any damaged bulbs to get to customers) but 1/3 of them were good for the bin. UNACCEPTABLE liberty to package clearly substandard product and expect the customer to accept it. I did complain and receive another lot with the same amount of a bad bulbs but I managed to get some in there that replaced the damaged ones from the first delivery. So do not expect a quality and unless you spend some time and effort to complain you will not get what you paid for. Will not be shopping with them again.

I spent the better part of £30 on a Hydrangea called Vanilla Fraise for my Mum, who has been after one for years. It's to mark the end of something extremely bad for her, so I was delighted to find what is supposed to be by now a mostly pink plant at such a mature stage. Except it was white. Ten blooms, one in the bottom of the box, all white, with barely a hint of pink. During a phone call I was told this is because it's so late in the season... except that being so late in the season is exactly why it's should be so pink. Then I was told that it's because it needs to be put in its final growing place. Really though? Because this is a mature plant in a 12ltr pot, so what if we just put it in a different pot? It should still already be turning pink, not matter where it is being grown, and you're speaking to someone with qualifications in all this, not some wet behind the ears idiot. Now, the only reason I could figure to give two stars is because after being on the edge of losing my temper I was told that another would be sent to replace it, because I'm not happy with the first. This is a good thing to do, except that the new one has arrived in an opened, squashed box, that the Hermes chap tells me they always do, except actually I have to say that the last one was in a perfect box. The plant however... it has several snapped stems, and is barely pinker than the last :( The mockery of it is made even more apparent by how pink the blooms are in the photo on the plant. If you want to spend £30 on a white Hydrangea that has the smallest hint of pink, that will have broken stems, and possibly an open and bashed up box, go for it. If you want something that looks as advertised, buy it from somewhere you can see it in bloom!

Received plants during winter and outside growing season. I therefore gave them time to grow. Most garden centres give 1 to 3 years guarantee. I contacted then after 11 months only to be told, despite spending £30 on the plants they give no guarantee
