I have just visited TJ Hughes and tried to buy Curtain Track in the sale. 6 lots of (same)track were marked as reduced so I chose one and took it to till. There I was told it was wrong price and original was correct. They tried to say I had changed the price but withdrew this when I said there was 4/5 more of the same. After checking the manager came back and said it was wrong and the reduction was too much. Original price £46 sale price £15 but said I could have it for £23. what kind of sale is it where they make the price up as they go along? I did not buy and I shan't be going back to Hughes. Very dishonest and untrustworthy policy. This was the Chelmsford, Essex branch if you are interested T J Hughes .

Put my first order inn paid next day delivery. it is now 5 days later and still waiting for delivery. I never got my 10% first order discount either. Tut

Ordered item 26th. July. Chose click and collect. Informed item dispatched to store 27th July. Item still has "delivered to store" status one week later. emails to customer services not responded to. It should not take seven days for an item to reach collection point. Looks like I am going to need a refund.

Poor customer service dept. Had Microwave one day - seems OK so far, if a bit noisy. TJ Hughes customer service not so good - contacted day after ordering to find out delivery date? and had noticed that there was a 10% discount for first order - which this was. Told that it started after my order - which was yesterday! no other information. I suggested offering free delivery as good will gesture - no reply! Basically 'tough'! Won't be using your shop again, on principle!!

Ordered a bistro patio set online. The item was OK, but box was tatty and offered little postage protection. Some small parts were broken. I emailed, using the address on the order, but received no response.

What on earth has happened to TJs since it moved down the Moor in Sheffield? The old shop was a joy to shop in vibrant and lots of genuine bargains..It helped that there was somewhere to have refreshments whereas this one doesn't have anywhere.The clothes department is depressing I don't know what age group it is supposed to cater for I'm a senior citizen and it's too old fashioned for me.The doors have been broken. for ages so that doesn't look good..Also the delivery charges are ridiculously high.Please get your act together and give Sheffield the shop it deserves.

Went to the st.helens branch on Saturday with my daughter she was buying me some perfume for Mother's Day. We asked to try a sample of perfume and was told we have not got a sampler to try but I have got it on myself and let us smell it on her. Does TJHughes or the sales person not realise perfume smells different on individuals and when your spending a lot of money on perfume you do need to be able to try. I suggest TJHughes have samplers for their more expensive perfumes.

Trying to place an order for click and collect. Despite living within travelling distance of 2 stores when I input my postcode it says no stores found. I even tried oinputting the postcode of the store itself with the same result!!!!

Purchased a Quest kettle end of November from the Middlesbrough store and begining of January it constantly turned itself off after 5-10 seconds, thrown it in the bin as it was after nthe 30 day returns period, obviousley cheap chinese made, have noticed that the same kettle is on sale re branded with the LLOYTRON name. Not happy Chris C

I am sorry to hear of your issue, as a retailer we have a twelve month warranty responsibility for items that are faulty within twelve months of purchase, the item could have been returned for an exchange

A farce from start to finish. We ordered a drone on line for store collection. The staff couldn't find the drone when we went to collect it then they didn't know how to process it. When we unpacked it, it was broken so took it back to store for an exchange. Again the staff there had no clue of what to do next so we had to contact customer services by phone, which by the way was out of service. An email was then sent. Customer service arranged for a courier service to collect the drone from our home address,which they did, no problem with that. They couldn't organise a replacement so a full refund was given. I will never use TJ HUGHES on line service again. Absolute rubbish.

Sent a shirt two sizes too small, and by the time I had my query responded to they had sold out of my size and couldn't fulfil the order - disappointed as an Xmas gift. I also couldn't return item to store but had to post (which went missing - not their fault but Royal Mail's) - but could have been avoided if I could have returned in store.

I placed an order online for 4 items that were in stock. I was given a despatch date of 17th Dec. from Liverpool to the Birkenhead store. I never heard again, so I went to the store, they said they didn't have the order. So this then meant I would have to return again, at a later date hopefully before Christmas as they were presents. Any on line discounts would now be lost in the cost of two journeys and the inconvenience. Next email I received I was offered a cancellation of my order and a £10.00 voucher for future online purchases. I refused as I did not have much faith to order online again. After Christmas I was told that 2 items (pjs) were now out of stock, so they refunded the money and the other 2 items had been taken off the shelves in Birkenhead and put to one side for me to collect. I returned to the store a week later - no items were ready, it was clear the managers were scrambling around trying to fulfil the order. They then found the original order package in their storeroom, surprise !! then came up with some story "the Postman had been trying to deliver this parcel to my home and it had been all over Birkenhead". I live in Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port. There was only an order number on the front and my name, no address, so I cannot believe this was ever sent for home delivery at all. They then hastily ripped open the parcel to retrieve the 2 items I had been refunded for, stating "you have been refunded for these, so we need them back, unless you want to pay for them now" I thought this rude and then the pj's were the wrong size anyway!! Incompetence from start to finish. I have shopped at TJs all my life over 40 years, I love the bargains and I was delighted to see you online, but this experience has been very disappointing.

Got sent a 10 rather than a 7 although in their defence return labels were included, luckily however I knew someone who room a10 couldn't b bothered with the hassle

I ordered a pair of pamper slippers for Xmas, they arrived in reasonable time and were lovely. The reason for only two stars is because they arrived complete with security tag, and despite using contact form on the website and e-mailing the company, I did not get a response for well over a week. After a few days with no reply I did go on to their Facebook page and left a comment asking how to return item and was eventually given a returns label three days later. The slippers arrived back to me on Xmas eve but had I not had a Facebook account I would not have had them in time. Very poor response time from their website and surely the warehouse staff should check that all security tags have been removed before sending out items.
