Very expensive and rates kept going up perhaps something on in Leeds that weekend. Couldn’t apply blue light discount

Poor online booking service and still awaiting a response to email sent yesterday (1-3 working days response time given). Premium rate contact telephone number is also poor.

I booked 2 rooms at the same time, both should have been flex rates but one turned out to be non-flex and I was unable to change to this even on the same day as the booking. Also on one of the rooms I only wanted to select breakfast for one person out of the two staying, your website doesn't enable this to be done

I stay at Travelodge Altrincham when visiting family. This Travelodge is always very clean everywhere and the manager and her team give excellent customer service. It’s well situated to the town & all bus, train and tram services just minutes away.

The room was noisy vibrations from Trains travelling below led to a poor night's sleep. The Mattress had not been turned and it was like sleeping in a hollow. Broken Soap dispenser in bath room. A good breakfast to be fair and good staff.

I haven’t stayed yet, but I didn’t think much of your website. It wasn’t very intuitive and after I booked, I couldn’t work out how to book extras, like breakfast

I have not stayed at a Travelodge yet but have booked several for a forthcoming trip and the booking process is not easy enough but when I call the hotels in person the staff are usually very helpful.

The website isn’t very good. It seems to repeatedly want you to log in. Now there is no field for additional requests- requiring a telephone call.

My husband and I stayed overnight on Sunday 4th June 2023. Even though the room and breakfast were very good our issue was with the meal we booked on the evening of the 4th. We were told upon ordering our meal at the bar that there would be a 30/35 minute wait. We were okay with this. After a full hour wait my husband received his meal (which was not what he ordered) after a further 10 minutes our order arrived. I ordered the fish finger sandwich and chips. Unfortunately the chips were pale and soft. My husband ordered the steak and ale pie again which he found very disappointing. We had ordered a sweet each as well, but by this time it was nearly 9 pm and we were unwilling to sit and wait for our plates to be cleared and sweet to arrive. We were not the only table who had a lengthy wait as I heard another couple complaining about the wait as well as another party seated behind us receiving the wrong order also. We have used this particular Travelodge previously, but without the meal.. We will not be booking an evening meal again!!

Your webpage is not consistent. I booked a twin room but when the order came through it was a double. I moved to twin room twice before I pressed send. I had to phone the Edinburgh hotel they said cos it was August they probably wouldn't have any Twin Rooms. I was given the free phone number and had to pay £10 charge to change- a modification charge. Sorry I was not happy about this. Please before the send instruction make sure you have all the details of the room required. I'm worried now we wont have a showe cos I have not specified that!

Tried and tried and tried again to make a payment. We are not all smart phone savvy. I am capable of inputting my card details in but to be asked to flash your phone at a screen is too much. I then phoned up to book but there was an additional charge! Not clear instructions about options re payment!

The bed was comfortable but the place was really dirty, we had ants crawling all over the table in the room and the cups were dirty as well as the bathroom.

We had paid for an early check-in and arrived around 1pm and went to our room. After settling in we had a knock on the door and a member of staff said that the sheets had been changed but the room had been completely clean. The room appeared to be clean so there was no issue with this. The rest of the stay was what we expect from a Travelodge. Our major issue was what happened on Tuesday evening when we ordered a meal. We ordered at around 6pm and were told that there was only one type of dessert available. We then had to wait nearly an hour for a main meal and then it was only 2 of the 3 meals and this was literally the roast chicken part of the meal. By this I mean no corn on the cob, 'slaw or rice. When this was brought out we were told that the rice would be another 10 minutes and would we like the dessert to come at the same time. We then had to wait 15 minutes for the rice and had to remind them yet again about my daughter's chicken wings. We finally started to eat our meals around 7:15pm. We never got our corn ont he cob or 'slaw. When we had our dessert it was supposed to be served warm but was cold and the ice cream appears to have been left to thaw and then re-frozen but by this time we had enough of this terrible service and just wanted to go back to our room as we were tired. There was also another person who had to wait for over an hour for their food and got a refund. The person who served us tried to blame the delay on this but we had already waited about 45 minutes before this happened. This experience has made us think twice about staying in a Travelodge again which we would normally do when we have a city break.

Difficulty in finding this place. No signage highlighting where it is outside. Not well lit. Exceptionally poor ability to sleep after an 8 hour journey to get here owing to street noise of the nighttime economy. If you want a restful night don’t stay here. Very disappointing for Travellodge and run down.
