I am a registered user with Travelodge and found the booking process extremely frustrating as I live outside the UK and it repeatedly told me there was an error with the postal code. The information was prepopulated as I have booked many times before. This is the first time I encountered this problem and despite many attempts to correct the issue I was unsuccessful.

Can’t believe I had to pay for WiFi and it didn’t work and the (v helpful) receptionist said it happens all the time £70 for a room and no modern communication went to the pub next door, but a pint for £5 and got excellent free WiFi Its not hard but travellodge couldn’t manage it - shocking

Hotel and room was clean. Room had less amenities and less well furnished than other budget hotels. 2nd floor door lock was temperamental. Check-in desk was undermanned. One person covering check-in and bar.

Bathroom floor grubby, hairs & even toe nails! 🤮 Carpet feels absolutely disgusting, dirty and looks like it needs a good scrub and a hoover!! Kettle I wouldn’t even let my dog drink water from, built up limescale and filled with old manky water, and the coffee machine has old coffee all over it! Absolutely awful, especially as we paid £180 for one night! I feel very disappointed! Would not recommend and definitely won’t be returning

very difficult to book outside the UK, because the site doesn't accept a foreign postalcode as part of the address of the booker. Stupid.

Now paying double the price for half the quality and value Tv in room not working properly Smoke alarm set off had to be evacuated Holes in bed cover Bathroom not cleaned properly

Since booking I have tried to contact the hotel with no luck. Tried several times now, phone rings for ages then message to say no one available and then cuts you off. It is not a very welcoming or useful tool if not customer friendly.

I checked prices on Tuesday as a guest. I went to book on Wednesday and it offered me to sign up for business and receive 5% off. I went thru all the signing up only to see the prices were exactly the same with my ‘Discount’. I went to book next day and the price went up by £100 for what I was looking for. I’m booking nearly 2 months in advance so availability isn’t an issue. Not really happy.

Price on the other dates row at the bottom was showing as £36.99 for the Monday 29th May but when I selected the dates for Monday 29th to book it the price quoted was £46.99 so the information provided to compare dates and nearby hotels is misleading. I doubled checked and refreshed pages but there was still a discrepancy.

I have not stayed yet. Wondering why the review. I assume the booking process. Not happy. High rate to get a refundable room. No way to contact customer service by phone from out of the country.
