“Battersea Park Road Travelodge is in a dusty, rundown part of London although you can turn the corner and go for a walk by the Thames River. The reception area is supplemented by dishevelled planters with an impoverished array of small plants. Once inside, the area is shabby with cracked faux leather seating and vending machines. The female reception staff cannot show kindness or hospitality. My room was ok and quiet. I needed the quietness. Only one power point worked for the kettle and fan. The tea bag was horrible. The chair had holes in it. The TV worked. The shower leaked onto the floor, and there was no bath rug so I used a towel. There was no soap in the shower dispenser so I also had to lean out to the sink dispenser each time, which might have resulted in me slipping. The finish in the bathroom was not good. The bed was comfortable. Overall, a very depressing experience. I would not go to Travelodge again and the cost, compared with the superior Premier Inn, was not reasonable.”

“No a very present experience. Room offered was right next to the lift shaft that obviously needed servicing as the noise resembled a motorbike. Moved to another room before unpacking which overlooked an inner yard piled high with pigeon s**t. Email message from the hotel prior to our stay stated free onsite parking was available but this was not true. Ended up with a parking fine whilst unloading in the unloading bay outside due to time taken in exchanging rooms. Booked for two nights but left after one night due to poor service. Never again in Travelodge.”

“Being of the dinosaur generation I find your prices being a constantly moving target very disconcerting, but no doubt that it is the way for you to make the most profit. It would be more convenient, for the customer that is, to be able to see , in one place, the price, availability, and location of rooms all along a chosen route so that we can pick the best option. In the time it takes to check out an alternative option the price of the original choice gazumps. Your staff are always pleasant, locations are usually convenient, facilities are adequate (but the baths are a bit short). Thank you for the service and for your tolerance of the mild grumpiness (about the pricing) of a man if my age.”
