“Very easy to book and good value for an overnight stay as I am playing a concert in St. Columba Church, Ayr the next day, and this avoids travelling from Paisley on a Monday morning.”

“Booking on-line is straightforward enough, but got confusing towards the end of the procedure. Had to ring the hotel to confirm, thereby negating any time saving benefits that may be made. Modern life eh!”

“Very poor. The carpet in the room was dirty and had obviously not been vacuumed. The soap dispenser was not working and although I raised this with members of staff twice, and they said they would fix it, they did not. Some of the staff were just sitting around chatting. The air conditioning made the room too cold and could not be adjusted. To top it all, there was a lot of noise during the night from the aircon and the plumbing which made it difficult to sleep. This is most probably one of the worst hotels I have ever encountered and I have stayed in a fair few. In the future, I will avoid it like the plague and probably the brand as well for fear of a similar experience.”

“A little tired and in need of some tlc. Extremely hot with non working fan and very loud due to being so close to nightlife. OK for a place to stay after a night out but not when you're away for business. Lovely welcoming staff though.”

“I wasted a lot of time trying to find the hotel! The confirmation simply gave the address as High Street, Stratford. As I was not in a car I did not have a satnav to respond to a Post Code and the High Street contains some 300 property numbers. Perhaps it was silly of me to imagine that the hotel would be at the Stratford Centre end (which it was not). The TV controller was held together with sticky tape and did not react to every command instantly.”

“In error, I booked a room for the wrong date. When I tried to change this I was charged £63 on top of the original booking cost of £78. I noticed my error within 2 minutes of making the booking but that made no difference. I feel as if I have been robbed blind for a simple mistake which I am sure many people make. I am unlikely to use Travelodge again.”
