“I’m sure that my stay here will be exactly what I’m paying for and expect. Booking it via the app however, was a nightmare. Online through the normal website, it kept seizing, so I went to the app. Managed to book it okay but then any notifications I received regarding my booking implied that I had both booked one room and two rooms. My bill told me that my total paid was for one room despite in an earlier line referring to the fee paid for two rooms. When I then checked on the app, it told me I had no bookings at all. Trying to ring your helpline at 10 pm involved a very long wait, so I soon gave up. Thankfully, I managed to contact the hotel direct who confirmed two rooms had been booked and they apologised, admitting there have been problems in the past with similar. A frustrating and slightly angering 90 minutes until I rang them direct, and they could not be more helpful.”

“Booked to stay at Helensburgh Seafront for November 2023 as we will be visiting an elderly aunt in nearby Clydebank. Booking was easy, I booked an easy-access room and I was very impressed that I was asked if I would need assistance in an emergency.”

“Upon arrival, the manager at reception was in such a hurry to be done with me that she forgot to be welcoming and approachable. So much so that when I got to the room I realised that I never received the password for the WiFi. I called reception from my mobile 3 times and every time I was eventually cut off because there was just no answer. Realising that I needed loo paper as well, I took the lift back down to get both the password and extra loo paper. This time there was a much more approachable receptionist to help. Housekeeping was amazing. I wish I asked the lady her name so that she could receive a personal thank-you very much! The children screaming downstairs in the courtyard below (all day and way into the evening) was a terrible distraction as their high-pitched screams echoed right up to the 7th floor. Because of this, I will book with Travelodge again but just not at this location.”

“Whenever I stay in London or Edinburgh I always stay at a travelodge. Always clean, comfortable bed, great breakfast and friendly staff. The London central King’s Cross travelodge is a couple of minutes away from the railway and underground station and the travelodge in Edinburgh on st. Mary’s street is 2 mins away from the royal mile.”
