“Customer service is a joke and that is being generous. I was charged over £10 in phone calls to be hung up on 3 times whilst on hold for ages. My query wasn't dealt with and it was as if they didn't care. Tried to contact my hotel but no one ever answered the phone and I tried for over an hour. I was double-charged and ignored when raising this issue. An absolutely disgraceful way to operate a business.”

“I would give 5 but I gave 4 as I need to contact the hotel direct as I have a problem with the room I have booked,but unfortunately my mobile phone won't allow me to make calls to 087 numbers.”

“Our stay at travelodge Durham was very good it is only a 10 minute walk into town. The staff were very helpful and courteous we asked for an iron and ironing board and Roxy the girl on reception immediately brought one out for us also we found the room we were in was a little noisy as it was on the side the main road is on and my husband is a light sleeper we went the next day and asked if it was at all possible to move to a room at the back again Toxy looked straight away and found us a room opposite ours much quieter and easy to move one to the other very pleasant and efficient would definitely stay again.”

“We often stay at Travelodge and are usually happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff. However this year the cost of rooms have escalated so much that we are having to consider other options.”

“Tap missing, poor decor with unsightly sealant and edges. Not worth £100.00 for 1 night. Don't think I'll use Travelodge agai”

“We arrived after a long journey to be greeted by a cheerful receptionist called Linda who could not have been more helpful . Our room was good and cool , the bed comfortable as always and it is good to be in the middle of the New Forest .”
