“Overall easy to book but lost a star as unable to email the Travelodge to ask a question. Phoning is a premium rate number which I do not think is good practice if you want to make it easy for people to book / contact you.”

“We had paid for an early check-in and arrived around 1pm and went to our room. After settling in we had a knock on the door and a member of staff said that the sheets had been changed but the room had been completely clean. The room appeared to be clean so there was no issue with this. The rest of the stay was what we expect from a Travelodge. Our major issue was what happened on Tuesday evening when we ordered a meal. We ordered at around 6pm and were told that there was only one type of dessert available. We then had to wait nearly an hour for a main meal and then it was only 2 of the 3 meals and this was literally the roast chicken part of the meal. By this I mean no corn on the cob, 'slaw or rice. When this was brought out we were told that the rice would be another 10 minutes and would we like the dessert to come at the same time. We then had to wait 15 minutes for the rice and had to remind them yet again about my daughter's chicken wings. We finally started to eat our meals around 7:15pm. We never got our corn ont he cob or 'slaw. When we had our dessert it was supposed to be served warm but was cold and the ice cream appears to have been left to thaw and then re-frozen but by this time we had enough of this terrible service and just wanted to go back to our room as we were tired. There was also another person who had to wait for over an hour for their food and got a refund. The person who served us tried to blame the delay on this but we had already waited about 45 minutes before this happened. This experience has made us think twice about staying in a Travelodge again which we would normally do when we have a city break.”
