“As a business they would not remove some of our reviews left by customers or ask the reviewer to edit their reviews when the reviews contained false information. Apparently they're not a "court of law" so don't get involved. As long as you're a customer you can make up any old rubbish about your supplier and nothing will be done about it by TP - ABSOLUTE JOKE. You may not be a "Court of law" TrustPilot but I'm quite sure you'll find yourself in one over the coming years. Burying your head in the sand over such things isn't acceptable, nor is damaging hard working businesses.”

“They do not remove dead companies from their site. Do not use they hold companies that sign up hostage to make them look like they are big. Dishonest company. Using others property to push their goals for money.”

“As others have stated, Trustpilot allows companies (Spot.IM) to "report" and "escalate" reviews the company finds unfavorable, therefore silencing the review and effectively rendering it useless. this in turn renders Trustpilot useless.”

“I had service with a company which went okay at first. After a while I had problems with the service. I got in touch and the company weren't helpful. It was an online security service and after a week of being unable to log in and check my account or use it the company in question still were not helping. The people there were rude and I asked for some patience telling them about a disability I have making things hard online at times in the sense of even being able to see the screen in front of me. At that point the antagonistic behaviour ramped up to a vicious degree. After a couple of months I went to Trustpilot to leave a review after being so incensed by being treated so badly (in the end the company banned me for their mistake and half refunded me leaving me out of pocket for an app I had to buy as theirs was unreliable) .. After leaving the review it was reported. Put under consideration and banned. So Trustpilot essentially enabled a company who were being misleading to carry on being antagonistic to a payed customer who had tried their best in difficult circumstances. Companies pay truspilot for reviews .. Even got in touch with their sales tea and have a screenshot of them saying "at Trustpilot nobody cherry picks reviews - transparency is a 24 hr job .. however you can report a review if it breaches guidelines" My review never breached any guidelines ... I got in touch with trustpoit who said it was banned for "suspicious patterns". . Only pattern was a disabled customer was struggling with and online service then got their review banned for highlighting poor service. Disabled people are always on low income and always get ripped off by unscrupulous companies. . Trustpilot essentially help enable me to not get refunded or leave a review to help others. In the end they banned me from logging in and I cannot even get onto their account.. Though their email clearly states "they hope this does not deter me from more reviews" .. Companies pay them for the service.. All you need to know from my experience ... antitrust pilot would be more accurate. I will take this up with disabled orgs in the UK and try to highlight that this company should not be trusted and reviews of companies taken as read particularly for vulnerable people ! really shocking .. In the photo you see Trustpilot says it's system filtered the review. This is true as being dyslexic I accidentally missed a link .. however they had the choice to honour the review (which is true) or not .... Suspicious patterns = disabled person getting bad service of rude company I guess ! bemused.. shocked ... thought they were useful .. !”

“I started to sign up & unfortunately gave them my email address, then decided, "I better research these guys". Well, in the middle of research, the emails started coming and never stopped (to sign up) and "all the benefits" yada yada yada. This is the type business I learned (as a child) of which to steer very clear. Now if I can just get them to stop writing all that stupid spam. Amateurs it seems.”

“We posted a negative review of a business, gave them two out of five stars. The business complained and claimed we had never done any business with them, our statements were false. Trustpilot placed our review under "review", and requested invoice numbers for our payments to the business we reviewed. Trustpilot pretend to be some sort of a Global Supreme Court of business evaluation. Don't touch these guys business not even with a 20 ft pole.”

“As echoed in other reviews below, this company is biased & will happily take down any review when pressured by a large company. I reviewed a company where I was treated appallingly & this company complained to Trustpilot and said they didn't believe me so Trustpilot asked for many types of proof which I don't have as all the business was done by phone & I'm still waiting for phone call recordings. Very strange how positive reviews can be fake but not negative ones. Very poor company and I won't be using them again. Shambles!”

“Completed biased in business' favour. They removed my review, sent me an email to provide proof of purchase - I DID - it's been 3 weeks and they haven't responded or re-instated my review. Trustpilot is NOT a level playing field to benefit consumers, it's a marketing tool for businesses who pay for the service to get stars on their website.”

“I made a couple of reviews with follow up reviews on a company Called ID Mobile UK. The reviews were factual and an honest reflection of the experience I had at the hands of ID Mobile. They at first replied saying how sorry they were but that their company wouldn't do such a thing and that I had declined to get in touch with them. I then replied with Chat Scripts they had sent me and Emails they had sent disproving their responses and showing them for the lying deceitful company they are, with hundreds of dissatisfied customer reviews about this company I had then did some checks and realised that ID Mobile had contacted TrustPilot and filled out a simple form and had my reviews taken down. Their fake reviews they had put up themselves remained but the honest ones showing wrong doing were gone. It leaves a sour taste in the mouth as this company is clearly deceiving people and more and more people are suffering because of it.”

“Only ever seem to get negative reviews published on our page, never any good ones. As soon as a new review is posted they ring you and try charge you money to get better reviews!! If you read the other reviews on this page regarding Trust Pilot itself, most say the same. The good reviews Trust Pilot have are those people who are actually leaving good reviews for other companies……. but Trust Pilot are trying to scam them off as their own to get a better star rating! A website made for people to review companies but only have a 1 star rating themselves, it’s a joke!”

“I needed Trustpilot solely because of the seller ratings for Adwords and asked them about it. They told me, that I only need 100 ratings a year and cashed a lot of money from me. Only later I found out that they exclude organic reviews from this number and I need 100 per country....additionally their integrations are not AMP ready and thus useless for my page. Their website has a lot of errors especially in their reports which are often not loading at all. Obviously spammy reviews were not deleted. I requested a refund due to the issues above as I cannot use it at all except for the ratings, which are free anyways.... They refused. They tricked me and then offered nothing I needed even though I specified exactly what I wanted from the upgrade. Absolute liars.”

“Trust pilot is not to be trusted and believe they work with the companies being reviewed. I had reviewed a company I had dealings with which is a horrible company (Warwick Estates Property Management). On every website, this company’s reviews are all very bad except on Trustpilot. I received an email from Trustpilot stating the company felt was not happy with the review and I should remove the name of person I dealt with as Trustpilot policy was they could not post that review as a result. I went on their site and took pics of good reviews I had posted of other companies on their site as well as four other examples showing names and wondered why this was any different or was it because it was a bad review? Yells me that they cannot be trusted with honest reviews and want only good ones when truth is, reviews are meant to be personal experiences, good and bad.”

“Thought I could trust TrustPilot but am currently being scammed by the mobile phone sales company "UK Spec Tech" and watching in awe as every honest bad review is hidden and/or deleted before my very eyes and all the good fake ones remain. If TrustPilot was a genuine entity this would have been addressed immediately. Do not trust them! (Or UK Spec Tech!)”

“I was a fan of Trustpilot until very recently. Albeit your site was advertised in conjunction with a company called House of Beauty World in the USA, and I ordered based on the Trustpilot 4.5 rating. Unfortunately the company turned out to be quite a dubious concern and the many poor Trustpilot reviews appeared to be more than the good. If results and figures can be massaged like this, then by association, your concern is in the same boat as the renamed 'House Of Scams'”
