You can't trust Trustpilot. We gave a bad review to Total AV antivirus after their product destroyed one of our computers. All Total AV had to do was to say that we didn't buy their product. The invoice we received from them was in the form of an email, and that email was lost when their product destroyed our computer. We have the charge from Total AV and a refund on our credit card statement, and we provided Trustpilot with evidence that Total AV had been liaising with my wife through an email that she had forwarded to me before her computer was destroyed. This should have been enough evidence that we did in fact purchase the product, but NOOOOOOO!, Trustpilot decides to side with TotalAV. That Trustpilot 5 stars everyone seems to have means absolutely nothing.

Ridiculous that the company cannot remove themselves from this or even do anything more than take abuse. Customer service is useless. Had numerous made up reviews and also one customer who was harassing the company was allowed to keep editing their review and nothing was done - the made up reviews were refused and could be contested further, but why bother by this point? This platform gives trolls another voice and makes a business feel powerless.

Trust pilot is a waste of time if you have a bad review of a company the company can have it taken down until you prove you had a bad experience which is double the work and most people wont do it so the reviews are not! accurate do not trust trust pilot!!!!!

Removed my legit negative reviews. Those were about a website that is selectively scamming users in order to maintain some kind of ponzi scheme. (GG2U.org) It looks like companies are allowed to remove negative reviews in a matter of clicks.

We don’t have a trust pilot account because they allow FAKE REVIEWS. Someone has left a negative comment about our company, we have never heard off. Stay away from it just do your research on the company.

They make up the rules and allow some reviews and not others. They don't properly check the reviews at all and trying to speak them is like speaking to a robot. They delete there own bad reviews. Funny they don't have a review page for themselves on their own website? This page or here https://www.sitejabber.com/online-business-review#trustpilot.com_(Trustpilot) tells the real truth! Hope they are found out for what they really are one day and big companies stop using them.

Of course, it's a useful service, but once you're in among the weeds, questions begin to be raised. Most recently, I added a review about an online seller. I explained why I didn't buy from them after I reached the checkout because what was advertised as a FREE DELIVERY service was in fact anything but. Rather than responding to my review the seller complained to Trustpilot and had my review removed. The reasoning given by Trustpilot was I hadn't actually had "a customer experience". This seems like a nonsense to me. I never claimed to have bought anything. In fact the whole point of my review was to explain why I my limited "customer experience" led me to choose not to buy. Trustpilot's stance is that you need to be willing to enter knowingly into a bad "customer experience" before you earn the right to alert others to it on their website: take a bullet or move over. For me it raises the question of what other collusion exists between sellers and Trustpilot. This experience significantly impacts on the credibility of the website for me. At some stage it will stretch beyond breaking point.

Trustpilot removed x2 negative reviews I had posted. These reviews were from x2 Bicycling Companies from the UK (I am in the USA). I had all the documents and emails to verify everything I had stated (the truth)... Yet, somehow, Trustpilot removed those negative reviews I had made on Merlincycles.com and Wiggle.com. Sadly customers lose when these types of review sites manipulate their reviews. Just look around on other review sites and you will see why the x2 companies I mentioned have such bad reviews!

Total BS. A company should not be allowed to FORCE you to have a profile. There are other review companies out there that businesses use to collect customer reviews. Clearly the ONLY reason customers go to Trust Pilot when a company does not PAY them for their system, is to write bad reviews. This is unfair and should be stopped. My thought is everyone should sue Trust Pilot.

I’m writing a bad review about Trustpilot because I can. I’ve had a bad experience with them, as anyone can write anything on these things, destroying a businesses perception to their market. Until sites like trust pilot police their own content more, they deserve bad reviews too, even though, they are a good company, I hope you read this Jillian from Trust pilot. Love Arran at Jobdotcom.

Let me start off by saying I work 8 hours a day on a computer and navigate through websites on a regular bases. That being said, I can't register using my email with the website to leave a review about a company I've recently used. I haven't logged in my facebook account in over a year and a half and sure as hell don't want to log in now to leave a review and I don't want to use my works gmail to leave a review. My Yahoo email was not working for my registration. I understand you want legit reviews and i respect that, but if your not allowing people to register on your website using their Yahoo email or other emails then what is the point of your service? Stupid website with either bugs or Yahoo discrimination.

Afternoon tea at 30 JAMES STREET WE WENT FOR AFTERNOON TEA ON FRIDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER. WE WERE TOLD THAT A WEDDING A ON THAT DAY SO 3.00PM WOULD BE AVAILABLE. WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WERE TOLD TO WAIT half AN HOUR AND IT WOULD BE ON 7TH FLOOR. AFTER WAITING FOR MORE THAN HALF HOUR WITH WEDDING STILL GOING ON WE THOUGHT WE SHOULD LEAVE. WHEN WE BOOKED THEY COULD HAVE SAID TO CHOOSE ANOTHER DAY INSTEAD OF GOING ON A BUSY TIME. AFTERNOON TEA IS EXPENSIVE AT NEARLY £40 FOR TWO AND WE EXPE TED BETTER TREAMENT ESPECIALLY AS WE TRAVELLED 20 MILES TO THE HOTEL. I DID EMAIL THEM BUT GOT NO REPLY. WE WENT BECAUSE IT WAS A BIRTHDAY TREAT FOR ME.

This company is no longer credible as a forum for objective consumer reviews. I wrote a polite, honest and fair review about a company that I have shopped with for almost 20 years and they decided not to publish the review on the grounds that their system had picked it up as not genuine. I queried this and questioned why they hadn't asked me for evidence - their response - silence. It's very easy for a company to self sabotage and become out of touch. The whole point of a review site is to be objective and reviews give a consumer a space to be objective in their praise or criticism of their experience. Needless to say I will not be using the site or relying on their reviews as you have to wonder which ones have been allowed through. The platform is no longer fit for purpose.
