Well .... (if that doesn't sum it up). Tyres on the drive was my 'go to' company. Last time I used them they were 'next day', 'contacted 1 hr before fitting', 'nothing was too much trouble'. An EXCELLENT company. I will NOT use them again. First available slot was on the third day after booking, had to pay £10 to secure a morning slot 8-12. Started to wonder where they had got too when no call by just before 11 - then the tech just turned up. The job was done OK - but no better than anywhere else (contrary to earlier experiences - when the job was done better than average). This is a premium price service - I was always happy to pay over-the-odds for tyres to get a good service; but why should I pay more to get the same service as I could get elsewhere?

We have used this company in several occassions in the past with no issues however my wife had tyres changed and noticed that ther tyr sensor kept coming up, after getting advice from the company, Ford and a reputable independent local garage, we could still not get the sensor light to go away and the garage said the sensors must have been damaged by Tyres on the Drive and to contact them. They would be happy to discuss with Tyres on The Drive on our behalf. Admittedly there was a delay in my wife chasing Tyre on the Drive due to serious family issues. The company refused to accept the issue to be reviewed by them and said as time had past it cannot be determined that it wass due to damage caused by their employee. We subsequently had to get the independent garage to order replacement tyre sensors and fit them at a cost of £145.00 We were given the original 2 tyre sensors which clearly show the damage and were again advised this could only have happened when the tyres were fitted by Tyres on the Drive. A well run company is one who shows good customer service including they investigate customer complaints, and when things go wrong. I am afraid our experience with Tyres on the Drive failed and we will not use them going forward. To even refuse to come out to investigate and not trust the customer is telling the truth and not contact the Garage (highly rated on Checkatrade) as we requested says it all. Maybe Tyres on the Drive are confident that they can rely on the obvious high level of satisfaction from customers (as we did before) so that they can ignore customers with complaints. We decided that as Tyres on the Drive have in the past washed their hands about our complaint, that it only far to warn other potential customers - do not delay reporting a clear issue as they use any excuse to get out of investigation and admitting liability. I booked some new tyres for my daughters car to take the stress away from her because she has cancer and having intense chemo so was feeling really unwell and who turns up an obnoxious fitter with a bad attitude and says he needs the locking nut which she couldn't find and wasn't given time to find he said he was going and she would have to rebook with no mention of a £40 fee upon them putting the money back in my account it was £40 short upon phoning customer service I just got a stroopy cow who didn't give a dam just said no way would they reverse the £40 fee so I would avoid this company like the plague customer service is nil absolutely useless

mechanic didn't have his Weetabix in the morning and was unable to remove my wheel locking nut manually (in a garage they use an air gun). therefore could not fit tyres. that just cost me £40 cancellation fee. WTF!!! please read the small print and go to a local garage. they don't have the right tools for the job and then charge you because of it...…. never again

complete cowboys , cross threaded the locking nuts on the tyre and said they could not change it. Went on to say it obviously had been done by someone else. Told them the last one to change the tyre was themselves . RAC came to see if they could get the locking nuts of and they couldn’t but said it was freshly done due to the bits left in the equipment. So in other words tyres on the drive COWBOYS who can not do there job did it and then tried to blame other people , I have now had to have my car towed to a garage which cost more money, get the locking nuts professionally broken of, which cost money, had a new tyre which cost money and new locking nuts . All because of tyres on the drive. Do not use them they do not know what they are doing. And don’t seem to care Don’t want to give them any stars

Frankly disgusting service. Ordered 4 Dunlop tyres to be fitted. Within 24 hours 1 of the tires had an irreparable bulge. So I called customer service raising the issue and all I got was denials and accusations that it was my fault. They offered to send an engineer out however threatened that a £40 fee would be charged if their own engineer believed it was not their fault. Customer service said the chances that it was their fault were next to impossible. In the end took the troublesome tyre to a local garage where they raised major concerns with how the tyre was fitted, with their being an identifiable leak from the back of the bead. Would not use this service again and would actively discourage anyone else from using it, in case they too get ripped off.

Disgusted! Booked slot and took day off work. They called 20 mins after start of the allocated time slot to state that they would not be attending. Now left with undrivable car and no way to get fixed before work on Monday. Given that they charge £40 for failed appointments they have not even an offered to compensate or discount. Its cost us money for day off and train fares due to having no car over weekend! Spoke to call centre who refused to offer solution over weekend. Terrible.

Rubbish company! Ordered 3 firestone extra load tyres. He came at stated time and fitted them, THEN said 'theres a problem', one is Goodyear tyre (not extra load either). Already fitted by then ad on car and already had my dosh as well!!!! he'd fitted it to back of car, one extra load one non extra load, so we said we cant had different load tyres on back and one was for a spare tyre anyway so we said out the goodyear on as spare which he had to change over. He said goodyear was same price but it was not, it was £2 less, we rang them and they say they are coming sat 10 to 12 to change over to firestone? She said there are plenty of these in stock? So why did we get a goodyear? Problem is I hope they've not charged gain thru my credit card, they've raised an invoice for nearly £300 showing 4 tyres so I hope im not being charged twice, I can feel a court case coming on. They are owned by Halfords now. Don't use them they are rubbish.

My car was booked in and I was given a 4 hour window. 2 hours into that window I got a call to sat the Engineer was sick and that it there was no other cars in the area and to re-book. I work for myself and had to take a non-paid day at home to get this done. I appreciate that's my choice of work life-style and they did give me a small refund for the value check cost. I re-booked. Was given a 2 hour window for between 8-10am. 20. mins after 8am I got a phone call to say their van had broken down and that was not another car in my area and that I would have re-book again! I asked to speak to someone more superior as although the chap I spoke was apologetic there wasn't any more senior to talk to and my situation was not a priority! These people are recommended by Halfords and are nationwide so my question is how many vans do they have? What is a priority? And why was there no-one more senior to talk to. Why only 1 van to cover one area? Why do they not maintain their vehicles weekly? I would not recommend these people and I suggest Halfords also consider using how they use for this service. For me Halfords reputation is being damaged.

Booked a tyre fitting and was informed as I had not booked a time slot that they would attend between 8am and 8pm which meant I stayed in all day. At 6pm when it was very dark outside they rang me to tell me that they were very sorry but they couldn't attend. No offer of a part refund no offer of any discount nothing apart from a free 2 hour slot booking in 2 days.... And when I requested a full refund I was told that it would be back in my account in 3 to 5 days. Appalling service. Would never use again.
