Should be able to give the option of minus stars. More like chasing disappointment. Waited 8 months, different colour. Material looked cheaper than pictured item. Not happy and will never buy from them again. Sold item.

Chasing Unicorns the clothing label is run by the most abhorrent and disgusting human being/family I have ever had the misfortune of having dealt with. I urge everyone to please pout a complaint in the NSW Fair Trading and get this heinous, entitled witch shut down. It only takes 10 minutes to do and the more people who do this…the closer we get to justice. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS STAIN OF A HUMAN!!!

I purchased a number of items off this company. The delivery was always delayed months and months after their estimated shipping date. The majority of the time the clothes were always poorly made, sewn incorrectly for the fabric so it would bunch or not true to size or the colours weren't what was shown on the website. Be warned those photos are highly manipulated! The final straw was when I spent $800 on a vintage dress. It was in unwearable condition the fabric so old and faded. Yes I know vintage is preloved but at $800 price point I'd expect it to be in immaculate condition not the tatty dress that turned up. I won't ever purchase from them again I felt so ripped off and upset.

Same here - I spent over $1,000 and am still waiting for delivery. They do at least respond to my emails - assuring me that my items will soon be on their way. Refunds are not given. I believe that we should band together as suggested by Natalie in message below & take up some sort of action. I’m sure this is not legal. Wish I had found this review page before purchasing.

This company commits fraud!! Takes your money and says they will deliver within a certain month, many months later still nothing and even when delivered awful cheap quality! They refuse to give refunds even though they are In the wrong. The business should be shut down.

As everyone else has said, this company takes your money and then doesn’t deliver at all (and won’t provide a refund). They have blocked my requests for an update on Instagram. I am going to build a case against them given the volume of people affected. Please DM me at natalie_ingham if you want to be involved

Their business model is obvs to sell a product based on the sample, and then begin production AFTER receiving paid orders. So yeah it’s actually fraud. This means the wait times after ordering are often over 10 months, with no warning on the site. Emails have no response and all subsequent complaints are deleted from their fb page. I’ve seen hundreds of bad reviews through other independent Facebook pages. Buy it second hand but don’t give any more money to these scammers.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I’ve waited 10 months for my order to arrive and finally requested a refund as I’ve run out of patience and no longer believe the ever-changing ETAs they send after you chase them. Unfortunately, they are refusing to give my money back - any reputable brand would. When I complained via Instagram (in addition to my unanswered emails), they blocked me. Absolutely appalling. FRAUD – stay away!!!

oh my god. this company is the worst i have ever dealt with. i am still waiting on an item which i paid for 4.5 months ago and was due to be shipped in mid july. i am constantly chasing it up only to be given false hope that it will be shipped shortly. i have asked for a refund and been told that it is not possible, however have absolutely no desire whatsoever to deal with the company ever again through using a credit. so unprofessional and i honestly, i feel robbed. how can you take someones money and nearly 5 months later, still not produce the goods. i feel like reporting them to fair trading. steer clear.

Ordered an item at the start of April, was told it would ship out mid May which i was more than happy to wait for as it was a treat to myself after a hard time. It’s now mid September, I am still awaiting and only ever get the same response saying that it will be shipped the middle of the following month … every month! Customer service is rubbish.. I had to follow up another order that got cancelled on me with no explanation whatsoever. I checked their website to see if it was possibly an oversells yet most sizes were still available. I have a feeling I used a discount code they didn’t want used on that item and just cancelled the order completely. When I chased it up they said they had a return and that I can purchase again if I want. No follow up unless you chase them for it! For a brand I have admired for so long and was so excited to make my first purchase, I feel incredibly let down. The service should be much higher especially for the cost of these “heirloom pieces”. After reading all these reviews I hope my item actually comes. It was a whack of a purchase. So disappointing.

To all of those waiting for refunds. I really implore you guys to take it up with Fair Trade NSW. I did and the process was easy. I ended up getting a refund after I informed Chasing Unicorns that it was now with fairtrade. Mez is extremely passive aggressive and you won't get any help there. We all need to stick together to make sure this doesn't keep happening. If Fair Trade gets enough complaints hopefully the scam will end? It only takes about 10 minutes. You are COMPLETELY WITHIN YOUR RIGHTS to get a full refund due to the misleading description of delivery dates on their site. Fair trade explicitly states this. Please don't let them fool you with the green washing terms and conditions and credit notes - this is all bs. Don't keep emailing or harrassing - just hand it over to fair trade. Promise you - I got my refund quite quickly just by stating the facts and handing it over to fairtrade.

Same story as everyone below…. Ordered an item in MARCH.. delivery expected April.. it’s now September and I’m still waiting. Zero updates, I have to chase them over and over. Absolutely terrible customer service.

2 faulty garments and 6 months of back and forth without any resolution. The garments are poor quality and quite different to the pictures on the website when they arrive months later. Everytime is the same response that they can only offer a credit. In these circumstances refunds should absolutely be offered. I will not purchase from this label again and would like to warn others about the potential risks involved. A disappointing experience that has seen a switch to other more sustainable and reliable brands that offer much better value, quality, service and overall purchase satisfaction.

Horrific customer service as CHASING UNICORNS BYRON BAY. I purchased a dress which was faulty and had holes in it. After asking for a refund because the item is faulty and I didn't want anything else from them, I received an email saying they would not refund and sent me a gift card to use on something else. This company offers cheap unflattering clothing that they market as Sustainable ethical and Luxury. Their customer service is non-existent.

This is my second review, as 6 months later I gave still not received my item. Every week, they update the delivery to next week. And I gave accepted the fact I will never receive the top I purchased with my hard earned money. It's been a very sad experience and whoever runs this business should hang their head in shame. At the end of the day you have to believe what goes around comes around. Another point to those of you who are debating whether to buy from this fraudulent company, why do you think they gave stopped all comments to posts on instagram. They are disguising the truth from all their followers. Please do not not buy and make the same mistake so many of us have made. I hope this review stops just one person purchasing from this store.

I have had serious issues with CHASING UNICORNS BYRON BAY what they do is send you items different to the pictures in size colour an design you are at fault for buying from them in their eyes order a particular size they will give you the opposite once you ask a question regarding the problem they block your email and phone number.....Fair Trading and Afterpay are not impressed with this brand as there has been too many complaints I received a call form Fair Trading I will receive a refund I replied I don't care abut the refund anymore it is the principal of stopping this brand from continuing to do this anymore!!! we need to stick together its the only brand I have ever had serious issues with. Mez at CU is a handful of nasty laughter in her emails like we got another sucker......

I bought from them a few years ago. I bought a silk dress and I tried it on and it ripped. I am a small size 8. When I went to return it (I sent it back at my own expense) they said that it was because I was overweight and that they were not at fault. They then sent it back. I then reported the cause to fair trading and they took over the case. The company came to an agreement that they would refund me upon me sending it back again (at my own expense). They then did not uphold their agreement with fair trading and blocked my email etc. and sent the garment back. I would not recommend buying from this company. Fair Trading to everything they could and suggested to me not to buy anything else from Chasing Unicorns in the future.

It has been 9 months since I ordered and for at least three months I have been told next week is the week. It seems very poor business practice to give a date of two months from when I order and then keep saying next week when I ask and have this go on for literally months with no end in sight. All while the business keeps my money.

I pre-ordered a sequin jacket. The delivery time frame was given 1-3 months. It is now 6 months later. When I contacted the office to ask about delivery, I was given (what I am sure is a well rehearsed) excuse about being ethical with workmanship, having a quality service... all excuses to line their pockets. When I questioned if I was to ever receive the jacket, I was given (not asked for) a store credit. This is fraud! Please do not buy from this company! I wish I had read the reviews first.

Do not buy from this business! Read all of these reviews. I will be asking my bank to dispute this transaction! Not worth wasting your money and time with this business. Their customer service is the worst that I have ever experienced! Byron Bay scammers! Definitely not an ethical business!!!
