“I am writing this review to warn other customers to not make the same mistake I have and purchase anything from Chasing Unicorns. All of their items are pre-ordered, and the dates provided for the pre-orders are not accurate. You could be waiting months, if not years, for your items to ship, the issue I am now facing. But that's o.k., according to Mez, it's stated in their T&Cs. So make sure you read them so you don't end in the same situation as me and countless other customers before me. Please read these reviews, it's so important that businesses like this are called out, and brought to justice. From what I understand, this has been going on for a very long time, and they are continuing to get away with it. I have taken advice and I will now be reporting the company to Fair Trade NSW. This company is fraudulent, and taking people's hard earned money. It's sad that people like this exist in the world and can sleep at night. I have emailed them at least 20 times, and I get the same automated, scripted response, 'our terms and conditions...' Please listen to our reviews. We are honest, hard working people, who have unfortunately been scammed by this company. Don't make the same mistake!”
“Would give them no stars if possible. Poor business model, poor customer service, a complete lack of accountability. I have purchased from other “slow fashion” retailers who don’t seem to have any of the issues this company does. As in, they can actually deliver a product within reasonable timeframes, charge reasonable prices, and not make constant excuses as to why they cannot deliver the product. Not to mention the dodgy refund policy that forces people into store credit. Please report to NSW Fair or ACCC if you have ever tried to get a refund from this company. There’s something seriously shady about this business.”

The Customer Service is terrible and they refuse to assist or take responsibility for extremely expensive clothing that doesn't last. They are worse than the fast-fashion clothes they say that they're not.”
“This company takes your money, but keeps changing the estimated dates on items. You might never receive the item, but if you do, the sizing and quality of garments are inconsistent. Customer service Mez will only offer a credit note even though they haven’t provided you with what you ordered. So many better slow fashion brands out there with actual ethics, spend your money on them, not these scammers.”
“DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. I tried to use my gift voucher and the website used my credit card instead. I DID NOT ENTER THESE DETAILS. It took it from a purchase 4 months earlier. It was an unauthorised payment method. Multiple emails and ended up ringing fair trading. They will not respond to fair trading as they are living in Bali!!!! Don’t waste your money with them. “SCAM COMPANY. I ordered a beautiful blouse I saw on their Instagram page over 4 months ago and still haven’t received it. They will not refund my money. I send monthly emails asking for updates and they always respond with one excuse and then another and another. They must enjoy taking advantage of people.”
“They're a scam. I was happy to wait 3 or even 4 months for a pre-order but it's now 6 months and counting and they refuse a refund. I implore anyone in the same boat to take it up with Fair Trade NSW complaints. It's a quick and easy process and I know there are quite a few of us so please add your voice. All I'm asking for is fairness - the goods weren't delivered in a reasonable time frame so a refund should be given.
You have every right for a refund as their descriptions are false. Unless they specifically write "You may not get this garment within 8 months of purchase" - it's a lie. I'm 6 months in with no end in sight, my money gone and no product to be found anywhere. For those about to purchase from them - you may not see anything for your hard earned money - be warned.”

“I ordered a $320 from Chasing Unicorns months ago. Didn’t read the fine print well enough, as I wanted to wear the dress for my birthday (March) and was then told dress won’t come until April. Well, April has nearly gone, and still no dress. And then I find out that the quality of the clothes is also an issue. So I asked for a refund. Surprise, surprise, they don’t refund! How can people sleep at night, running a business this way. So…I am going to complain to the NSW Dept of Fair Trading, and you should too…..”
“If I could rate this store less than 1 star I would. The quality of the products are extremely poo quality, ill fitting and overpriced and the customer service is absolutely woeful. “Amazingly slow!! It is now 6 months since I PAID for my order (@$800 worth!!!) and I still havn't recieved the dresses!! It's inbcredible & no feedback unless I chase...and it looks like the 3 dresses are still some months away...they make bautiful stuff and in the past the orders came in an acceptable time frame BUT this is just unforgiveable....despite the fact I love their clothes I will NEVER order from them again. I am hoping I do in fact recieve my dresses! They have had my money since December 2022 so I hope this isn't a huge scam!! Keep you posted!”
“Never received my dress. I paid an absolute fortune for it. I was offered store credit after waiting more than 6 months with no news, so I bought another dress that was ‘in stock’ which looked beautiful in the photos. When it arrived it is the frumpiest ugliest thing you’ve ever seen. I paid nearly $500 for a dress I will NEVER WEAR. All they have is an amazing photographer and models. The clothes are utter trash. Don’t waste your money”

Bought an item in Nov 2022 - by Feb it still hadn't arrived and they claimed it was pre-sale when it wasnt. I asked to cancel order given timeframe and lack of delvery and refused a refund.
Begrudgingly bought another item with the credit, stupidly paid extra $50 and additional $20 for postage in Feb with promise of April delivery - still nothing... Again they claimed item was Pre-sale when I had seen the item advertised 6 months earlier”
“Ordered $400 for a shirt and dress. Got the dress after two months. The hem was sewed so crookedly. I've never seen something sewn so poorly. Fabric was the same, but the dress was a mess. I never got the shirt. I ordered in December and it is April 13th. They do not respond to my emails at all. Had to open a bank investigation and somehow the bank said they didn't see any wrong doing. Have reopened the bank investigation a second time and will continue to do so until I get my money back. This is a complete scam!”
“OMG If only I’d read these reviews prior to purchasing form this so called store!! Unbelievable!! The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 50 years. Ordered an item in December. This company has full payment of an overpriced shirt and I still do not have it. They have prevented you making comments on their Instagram page because of the amount of complaints of the same issue. “I ordered a dress in June 2022 expected shipping was initially end of August. They then kept changing the delivery due date online to October, then December, then January. I emailed several times to follow up and then asked for a refund after waiting 7 months for the dress. They declined the refund, which prompted me to contact Australian consumer affairs. They confirmed that their policy is illegal in Australia and that they should provide a refund. Chasing unicorns didn’t care. The dress turned up eventually and it was of such poor quality. I felt sick that they got away with taking so much money for something with such bad quality, and at the way I was treated overall. BUYER BEWARE! Do not waste your money and you time. They have a expert photographer and that is it! The clothes are terrible.”
“They do not answer emails. Have to email a few times to finally get a response then it’s through the same loop again. Look at their IG page, on most of their posts there is at least one person complaining about the customer service. I placed a duplicate order and emailed them 4 minutes later explaining what happened and they said they couldn’t provide a refund, only store credit. Even though they could see that I paid for the exact same thing, same size everything minutes apart. The shipping I paid went towards the store credit too. Their rules make no sense.
The item I ordered arrived 3 weeks after their estimated arrival date and it looked different from the pictures on their site. Big risk buying from this company and for how expensive it is, not worth the hassle.”

I cancelled and they would not refund my card which is ridiculous. Why would I want to use a store credit to wait another 4-6 months for anything from this company.
I have asked over and over to speak to a manager and all I get is silence.
