“The site is straightforward, search function is accurate, chat works quite well. The payment process could do with some workflow analysis in terms of what comes first, second, etc. In my case, I paid with PayPal, and got the initial impression that PayPal, Google Pay, and something else were all that were accepted. Once I got back to the order after completing PayPal THEN I saw fields for credit card entry. You need to collate all things payment related to one dialog, then all shipping items, then ultimate review of final charges, destination confirmation, etc. so that the process is linear without things popping up seemingly out of place.”

“I switched to Upscale to get the Marantz SACD 30N after my first dealer choice (located in Maryland which has no sales tax) offered me a 5% discount, clearly cheaper. But here's the catch, the unit had to be special ordered (timing of arrival TBD) AND on special orders there were no customer returns except for defects or warranty issues. I figure it's better to pay a bit more and 1) start listening sooner and 2) have the 60-day reassurance that if I made a gross mistake in buying the MOST expensive piece equipment in my life so far, I have recourse to send it back and try something else to float my musical boat. Also, you have free shipping; and videos I actually watch; those other guys don't. Go Kevin and Kat.”
