Hi all, I left my luggage in New York with Vertoe and everything went well. But please watch out, vertoe is not checking who they work with. There are stores like in 8th strees near Pen Station that are cheating vertoe customer by selling scrap to extraordinary high prices. If i would be vertoe i would stop working with criminals.

When I arrived at store one of employees screaming with 2 Muslim women about this is America go back to your own country...if I had not already paid for bag to be there I would never have left it....never again

The link that I was provided to refer a friend would not work. We tried it multiple times at different times of day and on the phone vs. laptop. The page would allow my travel partner to get all the way to the payment section but would then say "failed to complete" with no other explanation....it eventually worked just fine without the link but I didn't get my free bag for referral. When we arrived to check our bags, the gentleman almost turned us away because he didn't have any "tags". He asked if we had brought our own tags. He questioned us quite a bit about when we had mad our reservation, insinuating that we had just made it that day...which we had not. He kept telling us that they has a flood of reservations that day and "no one brought us any tags". I don't even know what tags he's referring to...we've never used this service before. He eventually accepted our bags "because I know that I'm the only place open and so there's nowhere else for you to go, so I feel bad, so I will take them, but normally I wouldn't". He didn't offer any options about what we were supposed to have done to get our money back if he hadn't accepted the bags. He also asked us to lock our own bags (luckily we had one lock) and stated that he "didn't want to be responsible for anything going missing". I thought the whole point was that they put the bags somewhere where no one else besides the employees would have access to them....how could anything go missing? We did end up leaving our bags for about 1/2 the time we intended as we were in fact desperate (at 3 am). When we returned, our bags weren't even in a room...just behind the counter. With no one elses's bags in sight. The interaction was very strange. I'm happy nothing went wrong, but I am weary of using this service in the future.

I didn’t get my umbrella back when I was checking in. Otherwise convenient. Lugging two suitcases in New York is crazy!

Not very secure. Literally left our bag in the middle of a busy store and when we came back it was in the same spot with no one watching it.

The person taking our bags was very disinterested in helping us. She discouraged the use of the zip tag locks and did not ask for proof of ownership even though she did not recognize us when we returned. I did not feel that my bags were secure.

There was no trace of a tamper proof seal. No introduction or explanation from the side of the store owner. The guy simply stowed my luggage away right inside the store around a corner, accessible for any other customers. I did not feel comfortable leaving my stuff with him, but unfortunately had little choice and no alternatives at the time. Not booking there again.

This service is using a gift shop as its reiving and storing place. The staff there was very lazy and unprofessional, they ask us to take all the luggages to their backdoor storage, be prepared to see their unfriendly face.

The idea of Vertoe is great. We had about 7 hours to kill in Boston and it enabled us to see the Freedom Trail without carrying our luggage everywhere, especially in the rain. The reason I’m only giving 2 stars is that the location we chose was actually a convenience store. When I picked up my bags, they were in the exact same place I left them. They were not secured in any way and someone could have easily grabbed my laptop or anything else. I probably should have known this, or at least asked questions, but I assumed that my bags would be in a locker type location. Be aware.

The booking was easy but what I didn't like is that it said "free cancellation" but when I tried cancelling, it wouldn't let me. Neither did the staff at Fancy Apple could. Not cool.

I was disappointed with this service. The restaurant barely had an idea of the service they were offering and the woman looked extremely confused when I explained the situation. They also did not have a clearly designated spot to leave my luggage and she shoved it into a small room not meant for the purpose. Picking up my bag was also a painful process. I would not recommend this service, nor use it again.

The location I chose was perfect and the people there were very accommodating, but Vertoe as a company should treat their partners A LOT better. You put customers first and ignore the people you partner with. They still are business with real operating hours, you can't just impose your own time on them. If they close at 9, don't say "It's okay to show up a little late." If they close and the person is late, you just make them look bad when in reality it's your fault for saying it's okay. Dick move as a company. Do better

Reassurance/explanation needed to avoid misunderstanding between customer & storage hosts that luggage does not contain suspicious content; and that customers can keep luggage tags as additional evidence that luggage was stored...

The person who held my bag for me spoke no English. He didn’t know why I was there or why I brought a bag. I wasn’t terrified to leave my bag and trying to pick it up was even worse. He told me he had no bag and thought I was crazy.

The staff was very friendly and the process of dropping off our bags was very easy. However, when we went to pick up our bags the staff told us to go to the back room and grab our bags ourselves. They did not ask to see any sort of proof that the bags were ours. They did not check that the bags belonged to us. I did not feel comfortable that anyone else could have walked in and picked up our bags without being questioned. The ease of which someone could steal my bag ruins the entire Vertoe system.

The people who take care of your bags are not friendly, they did it like in a bad attitude and they didn’t care about security. The concept is good but is managed by 3rd party

There was nobody at the desk. After waiting for a long time we had to go and find somebody to help us. They were very unprofessional and we weren’t sure whether we were going to find our luggage when we got back. Everything was OK in the end. We got our luggage back safely.
