Ordered 2 cots on 28th Nov, told delivery 2nd Dec, on 1st, had email to say delay and would arrive 7th. Did not arrive and no communication until I phoned and was told they were "lost in transit" Would not send replacements unless I cancelled and reordered. I did this and was given delivery date of 17th. On 16th, email to say delay and they would arrive on 22nd and "rest assured your goods will be with you before Christmas" 22nd came and went with no delivery and no communication. I phoned on 30th to be told......"lost in transit!" Again?? I asked for refund and was told this would be credited to my card. Today (3rd Jan) had email to say they could not refund money to my card - I have no idea why this should be - and they will send a cheque which SHOULD arrive within 14 days! This means they will have had £400 if my money for over 7 weeks - IF it arrives. Terrible service, terrible communication.

Had a terrible experience with this company trying to buy a Christmas gift for our children. We placed an order for a Lego set. When the order arrived, completely the wrong item had been dispacted (despite the correct item being listed on the dispatch note). For some reason, despite being placed on the website, it had been enterred as a "cash order" so none of their chat bots or phone systems would recongise the order number. It took me almost a full hour to work out how on earth to speak to a real person using their horrendous phone menu system. When I finally got to speak to someone, I was instructed to ship the item back which we did. Three weeks later, having heard nothing and no refund issued, I had to again navigate the phone menu to be able to speak to someone. They then had to open an investigation which took a further 2 weeks to finally pay out a PARTIAL refund, despite this being entirely Very's fault. It took yet ANOTHER phone call and having to re-explain the entire situation for a third time to Very finally agreeing to refund the full amount including postage (which I'm now waiting to have credited back to my card). The only redeeming feature was that the last two customer service reps I spoke to were genuinely trying to be helpful but seemed let down by poorly conceived business processes. It didn't make up for the hassle and wasted time though, and myself and my family won't be ordering from Very again.

I bought a washing machine for my daughter, the delivery company were supposed to take the old one away and plumb in the new machine, which I paid extra for. X2 guys arrived from arrow XL 3 hours early (delivery company) dumped the machine in the kitchen, when my daughter told them I had paid to have it plumbed in, they refused saying none of their paperwork stated that, and anyway they didn't bring any tools. They lifted the old one and left. Contacted arrow same day, who said they would get in touch with the drivers and phone me back, no phone call. Phoned the next day they told me the transport manager was aware, and it did state on their paperwork that machine had to be plumbed in? When are you returning to fit the machine? don't know was the reply. Phoned "very", customer service appalling, actually worse than appalling! They said they would refund the money charged for plumbing it in, I told them I wanted it fitted, could they get someone to go back and fit it. No they couldn't do that, why? no explanation. I told them to uplift the machine and I would get a company that could actually do the job they were paid for. She told me same company would uplift the machine...same company could uplift? so instead of uplifting the machine why can't they just plumb it in, problem solved. No answer. "Very" customer service told me that this has happened numerous times? So how many customers are paying for an installation, but when they arrive they refuse to do it? So, I have instructed them to uplift the machine, when is anyones guess.....I will never use this shower again...customer service? What customer service...shocking!! Please shop elsewhere, this bunch are a complete joke, don't waste your time!

Stay away from very!!! Left my parcel when I wasn't at home. Wrong items received. Customer service is horrible. To get my correct items I need again paid for items. Refund very long process!!!! Never again!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM VERY!! ordered 3 items, earrings, clutch bag & aftershave. earrings are fine, I was sent a cabello shoe polish kit instead of a cabello clutch bag & the aftershave was broken. Returned the 2 items yet still waiting on a refund. Once you finally get through the automated service (never have i had the choices so prolonged, urging you to shop online with Very...funny really because you've clearly already done this or you wouldn't be on the customer care line!) Anyway you've lost the will by the time you connected to an operator... long and short of it - they cant find my returns! Nor can they find the tracking info & to make matters worse i tried to post a review on their site regarding the items and was advised it doesn't meet their criteria - so you're clearly not allowed to list the facts if they're not in Verys favour. So glad i found this review page, wish i had seen it before ordering! As per other reviewed below, something definitely wrong within their warehouses...can't get the right orders out, can trace the incoming returns !!!???!!! But happy to hold onto your money....BE AWARE

Every time I return items I am calling weeks after chasing where they are. Last time they open a case to look into this and the very next day I got an email stating my items had now been returned. I assumed this had been on the back of my call so thought nothing more. 2 weeks before Xmas I start making orders all which are not going through. I call up and was told it was because of a prior dispute. They finally took the blocker off and allowed me to order. 5 days later all my orders cancelled again. I call up to ask to speak to a manager and I'm spoken to a very rude girl. I hado ask her 5 times to stop raising her voice at me. When I was explaining my issue she would just sit in silence for ages ignoring anything i would say. 40 minutes later no further forward. 30 minutes of holding. Company are a shambles.

Returned 5 items from an order all in one parcel over two weeks ago. Four items credited but still waiting on 5th item to be refunded. Rang call centre and I could not understand a word the Indian operative was saying. She was really rude and just kept repeating the same sentence which was no English I've ever heard before. If you have to use a foreign call centre for English customers please can you ensure you hire people who can actually speak English and whose accent isn't so heavy that it's completely unclear what they are saying. Also encourage them to cheer up a bit when dealing with customers.

Let down very badly when an order went missing. Told they were out of stock and couldn’t supply but it was too late to get a replacement anywhere else. Offered £8 compensation. Disgraceful!!!

This is the third time Very has failed with my Orders and Returns. In the Summer they stated they didn't receive my parcel which I returned ...my fault I didn't keep my proof of return ..AND have to pay for items I returned. I thought I'd try again.. .now in December my latest two parcels ..one should have contained a Very Coat which it did not...instead it contained ITEM which I didn't order... and the other parcel which I returned is only partially returned on my account. I contacted Very through the query page...poor response I now have to try customer care team and highlight everything again. There is something fundamentally wrong with their distribution and returns section!!! It is slow and basically very poor . I don't know where these returns packages are going??? Why they aren't being fully credited returned to customers accounts. MY ADVICE SHOP WITH CAUTION AND KEEP YOUR RECIPTS FOR EVERYTHING YOU RETURN TO THIS COMPANY Between Very and Yodel its a case of buyer be ware.. I'm an going to close my very account if I get this sorted they are very poor with their returns etc its not worth the hassle or paying for items you have returned !!I have been with NEXT for 15/20 years and they are EXCELLENT in comparison.

I ordered the ultimate wine bundle,when came the day for delivery yodel said it was damaged and it would be repacked,got insomuch with very they said they would send out a replacement, parcel arrived to day not what I ordered,a completely different thing,two bottles of wine instead of twelve, this was for christmas I am so upset they have let me down again,took time of work for the delivery and they send out the wrong order.

Very How do you feel knowing so many customers are unhappy with your service? You first ripped me off 5 years ago by not issuing my refunds.. these refunds were errors your company made in the first place. I was told for two years they were refunded on the account. The account that you cannot see what you have even ordered properly... then one day I finally found out that you had not refunded me at all and all the interest had piled up on items I didn't even have! And you are still doing this to 1000s of people. I will be making sure anyone who has been frauded by you reports you to trading standards.

Purchased goods, weren't as described. Returned following day, parcel lost in their hub. Been 11 days since returning and now saying the refund wont be processed for another 15 days despite the website clearly saying 3-5 days. Furthermore the customer service team hung up on me and were laughing amongst themselves behind the phone. The only thing Very thing here is very bad service. Wouldn't recommend if buying on a whim.

I ordered a hotpoint fridge from very in July and it broke in September. I have had 4 engineers out and they can’t fix the problem! Hotpoint are refusing a refund and very do not want to know. Everytime i ring up i get passed around different departments and no one wants to resolve the problem. Me and 3 children have been left without a fridge for 3 months now!

Saw a good laptop and Bought it on black Friday, 26th of November. I already had a laptop that I had purchased through John Lewis and decided to cancel my order and do business with Very as I could get a further discount if I opened a very account and bought it through their 'Buy now pay later' scheme as money has been really tight for me this year. Order got delayed around 2-3 weeks and was scheduled to be delivered by the 13th of December, which was fine because it was a Christmas present for my son anyway. I now receive an email 2 weeks later after placing the order saying that my order has been cancelled by them as they are unable to re-stock it even though I bought it when it was fully stocked?! It's now 2 weeks until Christmas I have No Christmas present and absolutely no deals are available as I have now missed out on all black Friday and cyber Monday deals and everything is out of stock everywhere due to these sales. Well done Very! You have ruined my sons Christmas. I just wanted to make it good for him after a difficult year. I will be closing my account down with Very as soon as I receive my refund and i urge anyone thinking about doing business with this company to AVOID!

Very owe me a lot of money, due to my account being closed they are refusing to help or give me back my money. We are just under 2 weeks till Christmas and I am out of pocket by over £230. I have chased this for over a month. I have made a complaint no response. I have been told that because the accounts closed I would not be able to have my money back. Still haven’t received a penny to date

They are an absolute nightmare. Really waste your time and very poor english - tried to arrange collection three times and three times they never turned up. Arranged further time off work to arrange delivery and still not one arrived. There are far more reliable companies to shop with. This company dont even care about their negative reviews. They cant do - look and see how many there are! They dont deserve any custom. Dont say you have not been warned. We cant all be wrong!

Absolute Nightmare to get hold off their customer service when things go wrong. Then when you do absolutely unprofessional and outsource abroad, English speaking very poor and unprofessional, now going to cancel account oh by the way another 1 hour call to do so, nightmare.

disappointing service from Very! I am not happy at all with the service from Very and will never order from them again!!! I can’t review the item as never got it!! I ordered this item it never arrived from Yodel!! However very have took no responsibility for my item not arriving!! I’ve asked for a replacement but got told I would have to re buy the item if I wanted the item they have lost it’s a joke !!!! No item and no replacement or refund 😡 it’s my daughter Christmas gift as well!!! Very have been so unhelpful and rude !!!!

Terrible customer service, totally incompetent. We purchased a bed only for the wrong colour to arrive. Tried contacting delivery company and very to get it returned and ended up getting charged for a 2nd bed that hasn’t arrived. Contacted them to get that taken off our account and instead of taking it off like they said they would, they’ve added the price of a third bed. Currently sitting with the wrong colour bed that we have paid triple for which has put us over our credit limit. Shocking.
