The bnpl breaches multiple regulations No notifications on the status Not clearly explained how it works Call customer services to find out why a large sum had been added to my account to be told that how it works. Then to add insult to the case you get charged interest on the 50% added in a lump sum. Got back in touch as reviewed the regulations to be told " if you had been in touch earlier...." . Monthly statements saying your balance is £ including bnpl which is misleading as normal payments do not come off the bnpl balance. Waiting for a final responce letter and off to the onbudsman. I must admit the complaints department are far more professional than the front facing call center staff . That however does not make up for a 60 minute call and no other method of making a complaint.

I returned an item using your 48 hour return label but it didn’t arrive when it should.it eventually arrived after 8 days according to tracking by Royal Mail but I still haven’t received my refund or acknowledgment of the items return. Now I appear to be under investigation! I’m not dishonest and this is not ok. I followed your instructions exactly and I’m fed up with the delay. The phone advisors tried their best to help though, hence 2 stars instead of just 1

Trying to create a returns label took me at least 6 attempts kept saying invalid email address even though it was the correct one so much easier when had the return label inside the parcel

website is terrible, my address doesn't exist apparently and there's no way to enter an address manually. Then the order failed but they still took the money from my account, no one answer the phone, just get cut off after going through all the options... and there's no email address to email them to be found, utter joke.

I ordered a Hot air fryer, after ordering I realised that is was out of stock, so clicked cancel so I could order another model but a message came due to the speed we pack and dispatch items you Can’t cancel and to return it if when it comes you don’t want it, but if they’re not in stock now why won’t bit let me cancel it and reorder another one,baffling or what.

I purchased a Samsung tablet, after three days it stopped working ( no power, wouldn’t charge) I arranged a return to be collected at the local post office. I tracked and they took delivery on the 4th September, I contacted Very on the app which informed me it takes 3-4 days to update my account, eventually when nothing was updated I rang customer service explained a payment was due but asked them to delay as the item had been returned and I wasn’t purchasing anything else, but was told I must pay a minimum amount otherwise I would have to pay a penalty and if and when it was clear I could ask for a refund, I explained I found that ridiculous and that according to their site it takes ten days to update my account, but it’s still not be done, so now they’re in debt to me when they eventually update my account. I have been a customer for a long while but will never purchase anything again. Lady on customer service hung up on me and I can’t now get in contact with Very.

Was sent a promotion offer where you need to spend over £100 to claim £30 credit.You then receive a email that 2 of the products are out of stock & no longer available.So you do not get credit??

Well I would have given one star but for the helpful customer service. So on 29/7/21 I ordered some Adidas trainers. It said they were in stock and would be delivered the next day. They did not arrive and the tracker just said please try later. On Monday 2nd August it was still the same. I phone customer service and although I was on the phone for an hour and 10 minutes they sorted the problem. Thanks for that. However I urgently needed the trainers so by Monday already 4 days late. Then it sort of gets worse because the delivery company was yodel. Anyway the trainers were supposed to arrive on Tuesday 3rd. Unfortunately as yodel don't give any timescale I didn't know when they would arrive. It said I could text the driver. I did that and asked either to leaves the parcel or leave with a neighbour. Both these requests were ignored. Note saying returned to depot try again tomorrow. I then asked for the parcel to be left at a collect +. Looking today my trainers remain at yodel depot. As always rubbish service from yodel. Well I'm afraid that's the last time I will order from you. I can't deal with all the rubbish a transaction should go smoothly and not involve wasting a lot of my time and causing a lot of stress

I have returned 2 items one was an item I had NOT ORDERED so missing an item the second item did not fit it is now 15 July sent back 7 July still no refund ???? I had to reorder the correct product as I was concerned I would not get it in time. What a mess still waiting refund shall not be using them again good customer care on refunds ??? lot to be desired.

During the Covid Crisis I managed to keep my VERY payments up to date. (Like many others, had problems keeping up to date with Credit cards etc. and had to take payment holidays). Logged on to my VERY account this week with 400 pounds credit and attempted to make some Christmas orders. Only when I got to checkout were these orders refused. Phoned them - they've had notice from a credit agency that my Score has slipped this year. Thus I'm unable to use my VERY credit. Although I am up to date with all payments on my Very account. This seems unfair to me and would also have been nice to be notified before getting to checkout.

Very have become a nightmare company to deal with. They have moved their customer service abroad so no online dealings. I have an item put on my account that I have not received - delivery says it was signed for? yet I can update - I will need to call in wait in some queue to then explain to a non English person what I am talking about which becomes very drawn out and painful. I don't know why they saw fit to do that. It has put a dampner on the whole experience - previous item arrived broken - it happens - I understand that but again I was subjected to a long queue and then an extra long conversation to sort the problem out. I am not knocking the assistant. They were trying to be very helpful but the whole experience was painful and my account now in dispute status

Be very careful of Very's cashback offers. Bought an item with 10% cashback, listed on on the products page to be paid in January, only to be told the item wasn't eligible and wouldn't be paid.

Hi , customer services are dreadful , just tryed to purchase an order for £600 had an adviser called Amanda who definitely needs training in customer services her attitude and knowledge of her job was dreadful , she left me waiting on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get advise from different departments as she had no knowledge of the goods being ordered then told me I had to phone another number that was premium rates to place the order of which I was paying in full by credit card ... after all this drama and wasteful time I will now take my custom elsewhere . Advise please train your staff to save time wasting calls and lose of goods being ordered .. Definately will not be calling back.

Only had a couple of problems previously but this last order was a farce. First item was damaged, took forever to get through to return it as it wouldn't let me do it on the website. Reordered and it never made it to the courier (tracking was available). Took a week of phoning and speaking to different people before they finally acknowledged that it was lost.

I've been a customer of Very for many years, so long as you don't need to return an item they seem fine. The interest free offers are great, so long as you pay up on time. Some items on the site are actually very good value. There are some rip off items, but when I shop around more often than not Very has the cheapest item. They would have 4 stars if not for my most recent experience. I ordered a bottle of Dom Perignon Champagne for a special gift. Very had the most reasonable price £150 for a 2006 vintage with the added bonus of 12 months interest free credit. I ordered it for delivery, I didn't check the reviews - bad mistake. It arrived on time via virgin wines, the box was in a terrible state, torn up and you could see the item inside. The driver said it was like that when he got it. mm. Anyway I put it to one side, the bottle wasn't broken so no real harm done. This Friday I came to open the package to wrap up and when I checked the bottle it was a 2009 vintage. Now you may think that this is of no consequence but I could have got the 2009 for £40 less elsewhere and I specifically wanted the better vintage. I called for them to collect it, just a mistake - frustrated but these things happen. At this point I checked the reviews on the site, of which there were 3. Guess what? - all 3 said wrong bottle sent. So these guys have had the feedback, and these were old reviews and done zero about it. So I tried to post a review on their site. Something along the lines of: Wrong item described, a 2009 not a 2006 vintage. They refused to publish the review !!! So looks like they will be happy to continue to rip their poor customers off. Plus I arranged collection of the item on Saturday after 12 noon, they arrived at 11.22. I wasn't in and have subsequently had to make 2 further calls and am awaiting a call back. So there you have it. Just so long as you don't have to make a return then they are ok to deal with. Best advice, read the reviews of every item before you order it.

I was never informed the garment was out of stock Thai I ordered and had to phone them numerous times to try and get a refund.

DELAYS. We ordered a laundry machine that didn´t arrive the stated day (they told us that just the night before) which is a pain in the ass if you have to take a day-off just to receive the delivery. BAD (and rude) SERVICE. The technicians broked a valve during the commisioning, and they left it leaking continuously so we had to put a bucket under it and change every hour (not nice at all at night). NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. "Very" didn´t want to take care of the mistake and the only compensation offered was 20 pounds (of course much less than the invoice of the plumber)

I've had an account with very since 2014 and since 2014, every time I order an item for home delivery, there is ALWAYS some big drama. I specifically ask drivers not to leave my items with neighbours because they don't leave it with neighbours, they leave it wherever the hell they like. Let's make it worse by the fact that when I phone up customer service to explain the issue they simply ask "did you check number" wherever the item was left, no I didn't because that isn't my neighbour! I'm sorry but when did delivering to anyone on your road (or estate in my case) become equivalent to delivering to your neighbour? My neighbours are on my left and my right, everyone else comes under the header of "people who live in my area" which means I don't know them or where they live (he could have delivered to some random person visiting for all I know). Then, rather than evaluate their courier and decide whether it's more beneficial to use a different courier, they tell me to complain to the courier about my.experience... for what benefit? Thankfully yodel are appearing a little more on it and have made a note.against my address for all future deliveries but hear the funny story. I complain to yodel, they tell me they've never received instructions from very regarding my.delivery. I phone very and magically my instructions re: neighbours and parcels has disappeared. I'll.leave you to make your own conclusions about what happened there but as soon as I possibly can I am closing my account with these crooks who clearly don't care about.their reputation as a mail order company

Be very careful when taking out a Very account. As a new customer, I purchased an item on the buy now pay later deal to later find out that after the first months credit report with this account I have been marked with a late payment. I was told it was a mistake and the account was not set up with the buy now pay later deal and I now need to make a payment to clear my arrears. I have now been told my account is set up the way I requested initially but the late payment is actually a delivery charge. So be careful and make sure you don't miss anything because there's no second chances or room for mistakes with new customers.

Ordered a Microsoft band 2 when they had it on offer. As my wrist size is on th e border line between two sizes I ordered the bigger size as recommended, unfortunately it was just too big. So phoned up arrange to return for replacement and was advised once it has been returned just order another. Returned the same day - 7 days later Very acknowledged the return so I went to order another as instructed only to find the price had gone up £43!!! Wrote and called customer services and was told sorry we can't do anything about that. Be very careful ab out shopping here - they will not honour prices if you return anything.
