Go elsewhere ! Their customer service is vile, unprofessional and quite frankly I’m stunned they get away with it. The staff are poorly trained ! Huge communication barrier and when they’ve had enough they’ll hang up, old transfer you and the best today they transferred me to another customer who was equally furious !! And the cherry on top I’m left to pay for a bag that was returned and received. I’m done !!!

Out of an order of 3 pairs shoes and 1 pair trainers I kept and paid in full for 1 pair shoes and returned 2 pairs shoes and 1 pair trainers all in same parcel, 1 pair of shoes I received had been previously worn before being sent to me and after much trouble trying to contact Very by the methods Very suggest I finally though I was getting somewhere with this item but it now appears only the shoes I complained about have been acknowledged as returned no sighn of other items that were returned in same parcel showing on my account and telling me my next payment is due later, I have paid in full for shoes kept and now owe nothing to Very as of now. I already mentioned all items were returned in same parcel. Have previously had to resort to posting concerns on here as going round in circles trying other suggestions by Very. Will add never had a problem with Very up until now delivery always been super fast on click collect good sales and up till now easy returns. Sad to read a lot of negative reviews about when things go wrong as this is what Im experiencing.

£200 Airpods, Not Delivered, Not Refunded!!! Avoid First time customer (and will be the last time)!! Avoid like the plague! 25th Jan -Ordered Airpods for £189 + £4 next day delivery. Delivery address to London, as I was staying with family for 5 days. 26th Jan - No Delivery, email received stating delivery for 27th instead. 27th Jan - No Delivery, email received stating delivery for 28th instead. 28th Jan - No Delivery, email received stating delivery for 29th instead. 29th Jan - Online tracked states item delivered, but to wrong address! 30 mins on the phone to customer services to be told: item has not been delivered. delivery now expected 31st Jan. I wanted to cancel as I had enough and will no longer be at the delivery address in London after today but have been told: cannot cancel. cannot change delivery address. So no refund and no airpods!!!!! I was given a £4 refund for delivery (what a joke) and offered 10% discount for my next very.co.uk delivery LOL ZERO chance of that ever happening!!!!!!

Very are holding over £300 of my money from 28 Dec 21 from items I have returned due to being very badly damaged. I have phoned over and over to ask for help and they put the phone down on me, in the live chats they have stopped replying to me. They won't tell me how to make a formal complaint. I have proof of the items being delivered back to them weeks ago and leave me no choice but to contact the authorities. They wonder when people use other companies like amazon. Any issues with them and they refund you before you even send the item back. Will never use very again!

Where do I start?! Order Ref: 655233973089 We took delivery of a Hisense Fridge Freezer (RS694N4TCF) on the 28th August 2021, at first all appeared OK, but after a while we noticed the frost free freezer was icing up and the contents at the top of the fridge (including eggs and dairy products) were freezing up. We contacted Hisense who sent out an engineer on two occasions, they were unable to fix the appliance and on the second visit and on further inspection explained that there was delivery damage and this was outside of the warranty. On the 28th December 2021, I spent an hour on the phone trying to get through to very returns, with no luck, so I gave up. On the 04th January 2022 I tried again, got through to Very in the UK after 20 minutes on hold and was then passed to very electrical returns who are in South Africa. They agreed they would collect the fridge freezer, but would have to inspect before replacing the product, I explained this was not acceptable as I had all my product I the fridge freezer and needed it for every day living. After a long discussion about distance selling rules and how I should be treated, and after a lot of pushing I was able to request a call back from someone more senior, who to be fair did call me within two hours. After a long chat with the manager, the only way under ‘VERY’ policy for me to have my fridge freezer swapped, was for me to either open a credit account or use my credit card to buy a second fridge freezer and organise delivery of the new one on the same day as collection of the old one. I then received this in writing via email from the VERY manager and paid for a new fridge freezer. This whole process is absurd and has left me temporally out of pocket. But….problem almost sorted, I though! But No….. On the 11th of January 2022 I took the day off work, removed the fence panel needed for access to the back door, defrosted and emptied the fridge freezer. The new one turned up, they removed the old damaged one and then went to bring in the new one, only to find serious damage on the base (of which I have photos). The only option was to refuse delivery of the second fridge freezer that I had paid for, as taking both away would have left me with none, and sending the old one back and taking the new one would have started the whole process again! So, old fridge re stocked, fence panel back in, day off work wasted. Fast forward to 20th January 2022, new delivery date to bring me and undamaged freezer to replace the previous one that was delivered damaged, to replace my damaged one in the house! Second day off work, fence panel out, defrost, empty contents, await delivery, had the opportunity to inspect this one before it left the lorry and the packing seemed like it had been off…. Guess what…..the third fridge freezer is damaged (again I have photos), but not only is it damaged, it’s damaged in the same place as the previous one they tried to deliver on the 11th January, in fact, you’ve guessed it, it’s the same fridge freezer! Refill old fridge freezer, fence panel back in, I’m now fuming. So guess I’m now waiting for a forth delivery, all the above frustrates me, but the most annoying thing is the sheer lack of customer service from VERY, any telephone call involves being on old for 30 to 60 minutes at which point I normally give up. If you get though to VERY UK, they put you through to electrical returns in South Africa where you are on hold for another 30-60 minutes, and when you get through they just read of a script. I’ve had two days off work now and my credit card payment is coming up for a fridge freezer I should of had a refund for, I am unable to talk to anyone who is not reading off a script to give me help and they are also unable to offer me compensation for my days of work, interest payment coming up or produce that is consistently dangerously frozen in my fridge. I run my own business and if I treated customers like this, I’d have none left. These guys are just shocking, I just want some sort of senior manager in the UK to take ownership of my problem, speak to warehouse, call me with updates, take some responsibility. I would advise no one to buy any large electrical appliances off VERY as they do not have a fit for purpose return system in place, I’m not even sure that what they are doing meets distance selling regulations. I’ve been on hold now for 60 minutes as I type this review, I give up!

Ordered a pair of boots size 9. Size 10 arrived. Ordered another pair of size 9 as very said we are sorry its a genuine mistake……Another size 10 arrive. Rang up and complained. Refund of postage. Return both pairs. Only one pair refunded…..other has been lost so I am still being charged. Awful customer service. Won’t be ordering again.

Dreadful. Offered a credit of £30 if I made an order over £30. I ordered two items ( one of which was live garden plants the other a pair of boots) . Instead of boots they sent black jeans which I duly returned (their error). The boots were then out of stock and by this point the roses were in the garden. They reversed the credit of £30 charging full price for the roses. There's no way to contact them if you work full time and can't make calls during work hours. The chatbot is totally pointless, it just says call . I'll pay my balance put on my invisible boots and let them do the walking. Avoid at all costs.

I have been an account holder of very for over 5 years and have spent a lot of money during this time. I have never been in arrears & always made payments on time. I received a letter recently to advise that my account is closing on 26th March without any explanation. I called the customer service team to be told that because I haven’t made an order in 6 months that they are closing the account!!!! I won’t be able to open another one for a year and I won’t even be able to make a card payment for 2 weeks. Please enlighten me how this is treating customers fairly very? I have never known a company to punish you for not giving them money, this is disgusting. Especially during a national pandemic where people haven’t had a lot of money or been extremely ill so maybe shopping wasn’t a priority during this time. I certainly don’t recommend shopping with very as they have no loyalty.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. After receiving a voucher of £35 off my first credit order I registered and placed and order for 2 x AirPods Pro. The order arrived in open box and then after waiting 2 hours to speak to customer service they discounted the item so I decided to keep. But this was just the start of many issues with very. The second order I returned. The wrong invoice amounts on my account and after approx 6 calls I am no near ri getting this resolved. The return that went missing has now been located but still not reflected on my account. The quality of the customer service is ridiculously low and unvelivable. A very poor option when you call the customer service and takes hours to get to speak to someone that understands. Not worth the headache or stress so avoid at any cost. The customer service is just ridiculous

Extremely disappointed with Very (not the catalogue/website itself but the returns department needs to get it's act into gear!) Twice now in the space of a few months I've returned items which don't get credited back to your account even after 21 days - resulting in lengthy telephone calls - putting in investigations - then more waiting and chasing. Then you get a statement charging you for items you have actually returned 3 weeks ago! Among with interest incurred - It's put me off using Very and as soon as the last investigation is solved (been informed it could be another 14 days and if you haven't heard by then to contact them again!!! Aaargh!) I plan to obtain the exact amount, pay it off and close this account. It's not worth the hassle at all!

Do not EVER use this dreadful company. I have been trying over 5 weeks to get a refund as the wrong order was sent. So far 8 phone calls and many emails...nothing. Each day I ring and each day the refund is 'so say' sorted but nothing happens. Save your sanity and buy elsewhere.

Places order a week ago and payment taken - out of nowhere refunded then email saying “product out of stock”. Why advertise a product you haven’t got and take payment? Very disappointed

Would not recommend or order from Very again. The 2-3 day delivery took 11 days to arrive. Very is impossible to contact to query an order. The take your money then do not care if you receive your goods. Delivery firm Yodel is used by Very and are very bad. They lie about deliveries and their tracking service is fit for purpose and not worth using.

Ordered 2 cots on 28th Nov, told delivery 2nd Dec, on 1st, had email to say delay and would arrive 7th. Did not arrive and no communication until I phoned and was told they were "lost in transit" Would not send replacements unless I cancelled and reordered. I did this and was given delivery date of 17th. On 16th, email to say delay and they would arrive on 22nd and "rest assured your goods will be with you before Christmas" 22nd came and went with no delivery and no communication. I phoned on 30th to be told......"lost in transit!" Again?? I asked for refund and was told this would be credited to my card. Today (3rd Jan) had email to say they could not refund money to my card - I have no idea why this should be - and they will send a cheque which SHOULD arrive within 14 days! This means they will have had £400 if my money for over 7 weeks - IF it arrives. Terrible service, terrible communication.

Same as below terrible experience. Ordered hug slippers for my you g nephew Christmas gift. Size 14 dress arrives! Spoke to customer services was told I was to return the item reorder slippers they already had £60 from me! Still awaiting refund which very have held onto for almost 2 weeks. First time I have ordered from them avoid unless you want to revive something you didn’t order!

Had a terrible experience with this company trying to buy a Christmas gift for our children. We placed an order for a Lego set. When the order arrived, completely the wrong item had been dispacted (despite the correct item being listed on the dispatch note). For some reason, despite being placed on the website, it had been enterred as a "cash order" so none of their chat bots or phone systems would recongise the order number. It took me almost a full hour to work out how on earth to speak to a real person using their horrendous phone menu system. When I finally got to speak to someone, I was instructed to ship the item back which we did. Three weeks later, having heard nothing and no refund issued, I had to again navigate the phone menu to be able to speak to someone. They then had to open an investigation which took a further 2 weeks to finally pay out a PARTIAL refund, despite this being entirely Very's fault. It took yet ANOTHER phone call and having to re-explain the entire situation for a third time to Very finally agreeing to refund the full amount including postage (which I'm now waiting to have credited back to my card). The only redeeming feature was that the last two customer service reps I spoke to were genuinely trying to be helpful but seemed let down by poorly conceived business processes. It didn't make up for the hassle and wasted time though, and myself and my family won't be ordering from Very again.

I bought a washing machine for my daughter, the delivery company were supposed to take the old one away and plumb in the new machine, which I paid extra for. X2 guys arrived from arrow XL 3 hours early (delivery company) dumped the machine in the kitchen, when my daughter told them I had paid to have it plumbed in, they refused saying none of their paperwork stated that, and anyway they didn't bring any tools. They lifted the old one and left. Contacted arrow same day, who said they would get in touch with the drivers and phone me back, no phone call. Phoned the next day they told me the transport manager was aware, and it did state on their paperwork that machine had to be plumbed in? When are you returning to fit the machine? don't know was the reply. Phoned "very", customer service appalling, actually worse than appalling! They said they would refund the money charged for plumbing it in, I told them I wanted it fitted, could they get someone to go back and fit it. No they couldn't do that, why? no explanation. I told them to uplift the machine and I would get a company that could actually do the job they were paid for. She told me same company would uplift the machine...same company could uplift? so instead of uplifting the machine why can't they just plumb it in, problem solved. No answer. "Very" customer service told me that this has happened numerous times? So how many customers are paying for an installation, but when they arrive they refuse to do it? So, I have instructed them to uplift the machine, when is anyones guess.....I will never use this shower again...customer service? What customer service...shocking!! Please shop elsewhere, this bunch are a complete joke, don't waste your time!
