Need a simple problem resolved but can not get any help from facebook, online chat and was on hold for 30 minutes and was then cut of by someone who put me on hold. This happened twice. So I am cancelling my account

I rarely write reviews but in this case I will make an exception. I have been using Very on and off for about 18months so I feel I can offer an objective opinion of the company. Last month I was wrongly told by a Very advisor that as I had paid off some buy now pay later items I didn't need to make a monthly payment. I didn't make a payment and it went down as a late payment. This will adversely affect my credit rating. This was the final straw. Very's customer service is appalling - if its anything other than a basic query they don't understand & they often give wrong information. They contantly make grossely unrealistic estimations on expected delivery dates to give them a business advantage. One example - I recently ordered a high value item on the basis that it would be delivered the next day (estmiated delivery date). It didn't arrive the next day and after looking at the Royal Mail tracking info I could see it would have been an impossibility for it to arrive that day - the next day wasn't a reasonable expected delivery date and in effect Very gained my business by making extremely unrealitic claims. I will be paying off my account and I won't be using them again. Please be warned about Very...

Made an order on 28/11/14, promised delivery by 01/12/14. Today is 06/12/14 and still no delivery! I've made 4 calls to Very, sent 2 tweets which have been ignored, and sent an email to which their reply was "there's a delay with the courier, we don't know when you'll get it". Not good enough! When I called Very I mentioned the part of the website that says "if we're late on delivery we'll give you £10" all they had to say was that the delivery date they give is only an estimate and you should add 3 days onto whatever date you're promised. It's been 5 days and all they're willing to offer is an explanation as to why there's a delay. The worst company I've ever used. Would definitely not recommend them and will never be using them again myself! Friends and family had nothing good to say about them and no one I know has had a good experience!

I was worried after reading these comments, but their service was ok, if not great. I ordered a laptop on 3/12/14, only got an email confirming my order the following day. The next day delivery didn't materialise but it came the day after. Overall 3/5. I feel sorry for those locked with their customer services, and hope I don't have to use it myself.

Paid for a named day delivery, waited on all day on my only day off, rang them at 19:30 and they tell me the delivery day has been changed to tomorrow and I have to sort it with yodel. Are you actually joking me I will never be using your service again and you can stick your bike where the sun don't shine FUMING!!!!!!!!!!

Try and call customer service after going though countless fields to speak to someone to find your in a queue possibly for 20 mins on an 03 number which would probably add up to the item you have ordered on my phone bill. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!

Terrible company. Should not even be allowed to stay in business! Don't trust this company; twice now I have suffered problems whereby they have tried to get payment for items I never received. Terrible customer service, practically non existent. I have told everyone I know not to use this company - complete Cowboys.

i waited for 4 weeks for a delivery then on the day it was supposed to be deliverded at 5 oclock after I waited in all day I received a txt to say it was not coming then today I waited in all day for another delivery which did not come and received another txt to say it was not coming after I waited in all day. rang up and they are not intrested said it will come when it comes. I would never use them again and I wish I owed them money cos I wouldn't pay them

I've only ever had good experiences when buying stuff from Very. Great deals, great payment options (no interest for 6 months, 9 months, 12 months), and a good range of products.

First time I've ever come across an online retailer which does not recognise postcodes and gives customers no option to enter them in manually. God knows how much custom they lose.

Absolutely disgusting bought some ugg boots for my niece were faulty returned them they put the money back into her account and she cant even order new boots as they are not in stock this is theft of my money

After searching high and low for an item I knew was being discontinued and was being sold off at many places, I found very had it at a good price. I ordered and paid in full up front using a debit card. Several hours later I get an email saying my order has been rejected because of contradictory infomation(!?). When I log into the web site it says the order is "credit rejected' even though I never asked for any credit (and have a very good credit rating anyway). Thinking that perhaps it was because I'd used their collect+ system, which delivers to local corners rather than your home and could, conceivably require some sort of identity check I ordered again with delivery to my home address. This time it says that my order cannot be processed because it needs to be verified by their credit checking department (?!). Calling them I was told that I needed to speak to their new accounts section and that they are only available until 4pm. Very Poor.

I ordered bedroom furniture, it cost me close to £600. When it was delivered it was water damaged. The boxes were soaking and even the delivery guy said I shouldn't sign for it. I sent it back and called very.co.uk to say I had sent it back due to damage and wondered when they could resend it. To my complete shock they told me that they wouldn't be resenting it and that I would have to reorder and pay agin whilst I wait for my refund which will take up to 21 days. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The items were damaged and they didn't want to replace them but instead wanted me to reorder everything all over again and pay out of my pocket. Did not reorder and I am now awaiting my refund. Beware!!

I have used very for a long time but NEVER AGAIN THE PAST SIX MONTHS HAVE BEEN A NIGHTMARE been charged for items i never got then been charged late payment fees and having to ring time and time again and still nothing has been sorted i would not recomend very even if they where giving things away and not to mention customer care because it does not exist

on 13 December I ordered a Lenovo tablet for my daughter as a Christmas present. It was supposed to be delivered on 19 December. Nothing delivered yet and I'm still waiting. I phoned and emailed the customer services many times and all I got was a cold answer that they will send an email to their tracking department to ask the supplier. A customer service representative told me that you won't get your order before Christmas and there is nothing I can do about. Avoid this company.

Had to phone up today (14th) as no order arrived, to be told i have been declined for security purposes.. Ok so i ask to clarify they start putting more security checks on me and i answer them all except after asking for my date of birth for the 5th time, i get asked how old i am? I say hang on i always say the wrong thing im 27 but i always go to say 28. They pause and sarcastically say: "you have to think about it? Your being declined for security purposes." Because i cant in a split second do the mental arithmetic to calculate my age... Ridiculous. On top of this i had to contact you in order to find out my order was even cancelled!!! SHOCKING

I provide the same text I have just sent to BBC Watchdog: I am reporting the diabolical state of customer service at very.co.uk In August 2013 a kettle I ordered was incorrectly delivered to my old address, despite email confirmation that I was to expect delivery at my current address. As a result, the kettle became 'lost in transit' and I received a refund. In September 2013, despite the refund being processed (again, have statement as evidence) the kettle was, once again, put on my account - £39 + £12 late payment fee. Since then I have made 4 phone calls to a premium rate number, endless emails (way over 10 now) and have written a formal letter of complaint (sent on 22nd October 2013). All of my attempts to resolve their error have been ignored or 'passed on' with no resolution. My account is now at £64 and rising every month, which is now affecting my credit rating. The reviews written on Trust Pilot and other independent review sites show that I am not alone in my experience. Please help!
