Hi, I ordered a lovely navy stripe swimming costume. Today the parcel arrived. I was so excited as I wanted to go swimming as I haven't been for years. I opened the parcel only to find that it was not the swimming costume I had ordered but a black river island bag?? I am returning the item but was told I would have to wait 14 days to be refunded?? This is a long time! and that I would need to then reorder the item that I should have received in the 1st place. I am very disappointed as this is my very first time ordering from very.co.uk and it was unsuccessful and very annoying which is a shame as they do sell beautiful things. Better off shopping elsewhere after this very bad experience :(

I order a bed for my daughter from VERY website, was advised that it will take up to 4 weeks delivery which was fine, gave us enough time to redecorate. I received email to tell me that bed will be delivered on the 17/04/2015, so we sold my daughters old bed which was collected on 16/04/2015. I then took the day of work on the 17th for delivery, I waited and waited and waited until 7pm there was no sign of it, I called VERY to be told "oh there is a delay with the bed by another 8 WORKING DAYS, you should of got an email telling you of this"....I was not a happy bunny, I told them that I wanted someone higher to call me ASAP as this was unacceptable. I then received a call on Monday to which everytime I answered they put the phone down on me without even a hello, after the third failed call I called them, very angry, the lady I got guarnteed me that she will get the bed delivered to me on Wed 22nd, I also received text from courier service to say my item will be delivered between 9.15-1.15pm, again I took day off and I waited and waited for NOTHING. I called VERY to be told it was with delivery company, I then called delivery company to be told that it wasnt being delivered as they had not received all the parts, I then called VERY again to be told there was nothing they can do that It may be delivered Thursday or Friday, I was not allowed to cancel order and they offered me £20 for loss of earnings......what a joke. oh and did I mention in the meantime my six year old daughter is lying on a mattress on a floor!!!! I would advise anyone to never ever use VERY, they dont care about customer service, they happily take your money but offer nothing in return.

You hear horror stories about ordering bridesmaid dresses online to cut down your costs for the big day, as the dresses are usually made in China. However, Very is a reputable site in the UK so seemed more trustworthy. 5 bridesmaid dresses came back a foot too long, bust to big, straps in the wrong place and shoddy sewing in general. The size chart on the website is completely inaccurate and whoever made the dresses seems to have ignored it anyway. It has cost us just as much money to get the dresses altered and amended with a seamstress as it did to buy the dresses in the first place. Very customer service is absolutely horrendous! Buy your bridesmaid dresses from a shop (where you can try it on) or pay the extra and get them professionally made. The unnecessary stress this has caused is not worth the cheap price tag at Very.co.uk. Demanding a refund!!!!

Paid for my order of £175 in full via paypall, waited over 2 months, the item is out of stock. I've then cancelled my order and no money were refunded by very.co.uk! They said that they have never received my money, luckily there is paypall and I will get my money back. Customer support is outsourced and it's almost impossible to understand what they say! Overal don't buy of very.co.uk! Or buy and suffer...

I HAD TO PAY FOR AN ITEM I RETURNED AGES AGO VIA POST OFFICE PLEASE DONOT OTHER FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR SOMETHING YOU RETURNED. DONT ACT LIKE I DID I TOTALLY IGNORED THOSE NEGATIVE CUSTOMERS REVIEWS AND NOW AM TRAPPED. I HONESTLY THINK THEY ARE SCAMS POOR SERVICE!!!!!

Well, what can I say, useless piece of sh*** website overall. I bought nike lunarglide 6 on this website for £51 pounds, everything went through as normal, but then I got a message next morning that this item is no longer available and when it comes to stock they will automatically send me it. Then I chatted to couple people from the company on which they apologised and said the money will probably be refunded to my account, however as far as I know the pair of shoes that I ordered is still on the website and it says is in stock, this time is £67 pounds. Like what the hell 'VERY', thanks for wasting my time. Wouldn't recommend this poorly organised company to anyone. Giving loads of different information, that makes no sense. We purchased a fridge freezer through Very last year on a 0% buy now pay in a year scheme. It was just over £200. We were led to believe that on month 11 of the scheme we would receive a reminder that the balance would be due to avoid going onto a repayment scheme instead. We received no reminder at all and in fact remembered ourselves but were just ONE DAY late with the balance payment. As a result Very added an extra £100 to the bill...! Customer service were useless and not interested at all and so we have paid the balance and will NEVER use them again. Please beware that you will not receive a notification and that instead this company actually intend to allow a default so they can make money on roughly 40% APR by not reminding anyone of their upcoming due date. No better than loan sharks....

The worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. I have been lied to on numerous ocassions and still waiting for a refund. VERY poor customer service..

My horrible experience ordered a smartphone was given the delivery date 1st April. Took a day of work waited to 9Pm no one came to deliver at all. Next day item arrived early in the morning the phone came with a couple defects phoned up to very 5-6 times asking for a replacement unit each customer service staff on the phone was rude told me to deal with the phone manufacturer for a replacement. Going direct to my bank to request a full refund not going to waste any more my time dealing with bunch of cowboys.

Disgusted. I ordered 7 items, all for deliver on the same day. The website claimed that they could be delivered on Apr 1st. However a week later I got a call requesting me to book a delivery slot for 1 of the items. Then another call for another item... I confirmed slots for all 7 items, all at the same time on the same day. Then for each day for a whole week prior to the deliver I got text messages for my items saying that they were ready to have a delivery slot booked but no slot had yet been booked. EVERY DAY for 5 days I called them to confirm and every single time a different person told me that the system was incorrect in sending out the text messages because all 7 of my orders were definately booked for Apr 1st and had timeslots confirmed so they would definately arrive on that day.... Then on Mar 31st, the day before I was expecting delivery I called them again, just to be sure... and was told that only one item had a delivery slot booked and it would arrive on the 1st but the others were not available for delivery for at least another 2 weeks. So we're sleeping on the floor for 2 weeks.

Worst customer services I have ever known, they are not interested when you phone up about queries, service in fact everything. As for the next day delivery thats a joke, £3.95 and they never deliver, but thats down to the cowboy couriers Yodel that they use. If you see something you fancy buying from Very, think again and try and purchase from some where else.

Do not buy from this company, very rude customer service, terrible delivery. when you contact them they are just not interested. We phoned to cancel our order as we waited so long for it to arrive (never did arrive) and they said we can't cancel and they charged us for it!! disgusting company. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered something for next day delivery, got charged but item never arrived. Three weeks later still chasing my refund and customer services don't want to know. Worst big online shopping firm I have dealt with. If a high Street shop did this you it would close down.

After ordering a TV, I realised before it was delivered that I had actually ordered the wrong one! Which is by all means my fault! So I called the customer service team to cancel that order. I did want to purchase the correct TV strait away, but as I had already been charged for the other TV they told me I would need to wait 14 days for the account to be refunded, fair enough! So after 14 days, then 15 days and now on my 16th day still no refund. Even though I never received the TV, it was dispatched to be delivered. But as I cancelled the order the delivery was obviously never made. So why would I still be waiting for my refund? Well it has gone wallows from their despatch drop and as I ordered the TV I NOW HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE TRACES TEAM TO FIND THE MISSING TV??? Even though on their records they can see by the tracking order that the last sign in was at the depo....and it was NOT DELIVERED! So as a customer I have been penalised and I am now due to make the 1st payment on that TV despite not even having it! Intact I have no TV at all because mine was stolen and now very have taken money from me too! GREAT! I have received stuff and sent it back and received refunds strait away and generally had a great service from very.....except now when something is very obviously not my fault, like a TV I never received going missing and I have to pay for it until it's found....and if it's never found then what? Well this is something the staff can't answer! Funny!

Order delivered to incorrect address. Approx 1.5miles away. When I contacted very they stated that this was their policy. If no one at home of time of delivery they deliver to neighbour. I live in a semidetached house. 1.5 miles away is not a neighbour. Package had a substantial value of goods. Thank goodness for honest people and small villages as I did get the package eventually. However very did state that they would not take responsibility for anything. The customer service team were rude and unprofessional.
