First item arrived on time so all was well, from there on placed order that was due on a Thursday courier they use Yodel. My heart sank Yodel is the firm that broke our Tower Poppy, failed to deliver three Amazon prime parcels on time one took over a week for an overnight and through a 12 bottle case of wine over the fence breaking every bottle then denied it but we had it on cctv. Thursday came no parcel and if you contact Very to cut a long story short they could not care one jot, managers don't speak to you and the staff will spin story after story. Avoid them and any firm that uses Yodel Very are a comedy mail order company when things go wrong

The worst customer service I have ever had. Don't go with them. Their representatives are rude and helpless. They charge 1/3 of your purchase as interest. 350 pounds interest for the purchase of 845 pounds . It's unbelievable!!!!!!

They are a fine site to purchase items provided you are fortunate enough to never need to return anything. We unfortunately needed to return a Dyson due to it being damaged on arrival and after calling up were accused of damaging it on opening and that if they found this to be the case when they received it back we would not get credited for it. Also that this "examination" could take up to 21 days, in which time we were expected to continue making payments. So dutifully I agreed to a collection only for no one to turn up to collect, so I called to complain and even followed it up with an email, to which I had a reply restating that they needed to collect the item and arranged another date a week later. Guess what, no collection again. After all of this they only thing they have agreed to do is refund me the delivery cost, and guess what, we need to reschedule collection again. This has been close to three weeks now just to return a faulty hoover. I will never be buying from Very again.

I actually have reluctantly clicked 1 star, there are no stars to be had for Very from me ! I have just had my 4th & 5th bed delivered this morning & my gift to "very" free of charge was to let them know although they thought my case was resolved it was far from resolved - I made it crystal clear I was not satisfied - tragic as something very simple could have went a long way in diffusing my situation & stopped me getting my review out as far as possible!!! This is the "very" worst & most definitely the "very" stressful shopping experience I have ever had & as a way to just order a decent bed I can sleep in without any incident/breakages its has cost me a "very" significant amount of money !!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been dealing with the CEO office including emails to Gareth Jones & having checked back I have had the phone cut off on no less than 12 separate incidents (their calls are outsourced world wide & nobody gives a toss) even at the CEO office they have managed to "accidentally" disconnect my calls, I was promised numerous times call backs/communication repeatedly getting nothing back & Let down. Bottom line I would stay clear & avoid any shopping with this group of companies. Horrendous experience, shoddy quality & They very worst customer service I have ever ever experienced.

Once again problems with delivery. Delivery company very uses claims click and collect store not open ? . Have now cancelled complete order. Sorry very your loss.

I am very unhappy with the way I have been treated by very.co.uk. I placed an order for a large item on Tuesday and and was told it would be delivered by today (Friday) via email. Therefore, I took the day off work as the item required a signature. Yesterday I receive 3 phone calls telling me that the item has come in and when would I like it delivered. Confused as I am expecting it to come in the next day. I am then passed from person to person and told to call different numbers. Eventually, someone says yes it is being delivered tomorrow sorry about the confusion. So today I am expecting the delivery of the item and I get another phone call asking when would i like the item to be delivered.......Even more confused and angry now I am again passed onto a number of different people all asking when I want it delivered. 'Today' i say as I have taken the day off work for this delivery. After telling 7 people the situation I am passed onto the customer service person who then tells me that I can't even select a delivery date as the item hasn't even come in yet. It has now gone beyond a joke! At no point does anyone offer any compensation for being messed around like this. I have to ask for compensation for losing a day of work. The customer service agent goes off to speak to the manager. She comes back and offers the delivery charge and 10% off (£30 total off). Im not happy with this and ask to speak the manager and I am told that the managers do not take phone calls. I'm a manager and i take customer phone calls whether its a complaint or not! I then ask when is it likely that the item will come in she responds with I don't know. I ask if it would be a week or a month as I'm not waiting a month and the response is still 'I don't know' If there is a very.co.uk manager that does speak to their customers I would like them to contact me and discuss this issue.

Never experienced such bad customer service in my life! Ordered a product which very took money from cc, phoned to check and it wasn't being processed so apparently was going to give money back. This will take 5-10 days, so no money, no product and people refusing to put me through to a manager or help me resolve my issue!!! So they have my money, won't let me have the product I want unless I order it again - what so pay twice the money?? Awful!!

I have never had such truly dreadful customer service as I had with VERY. Every single one of the approximately 23 advisors that I spoke to told me a different tale. I will never buy anything from them again they should be ashamed of the so called service they provide

Placed an order for jeans wrong ones turned up!! But the wrongs one had been worn dog hair on them and screwed up.

Terrible service. Still awaiting my camera. No one can tell me where it is and when i will get it. I am going on holiday soon and Very's service has 100% let me down!

Ordered two chest of drawers back in May 2015 and the delivery date has changed week by week since then and the estimated delivery date is now 6/9/15 !!! But I know that will change also. Have emailed them so many times and I just get a very unhelpful reply saying that they don't know when they will be back in stock !! When they changed the delivery date back at end of June I gave my daughter our existing chest of drawers so all the contents are now on the bed in the spare room. Having read all the reviews on here about Very I am now going to cancel and close the account. The worst Company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with, a joke.

This company is one of the worsts I’ve had the misfortune of using. I foolishly ignored their bad reputation to claim a good cashback deal on a Lenovo tablet. Very then proceeded to send me the wrong colour tablet (Yellow instead of black). I have no idea how they managed to do this as the item order clearly states black and the tablet box clearly shows a yellow tablet and is branded as such. Getting through to their customer services was a nightmare as their phone system kept dropping my calls regardless of where I was phoning from (house phone, mobile phone, work phone were all dropped repeatedly). I even managed to get through to them on a few occasions only for their phone system to suddenly go dead midway through the conversation. When I finally got through to someone for long enough to explain the issue it sounded like the person I was talking to was located at home as there was noise that sounded like children watching television in the background that almost masked the person I was speaking to. Ironically this isn’t what has annoyed me most about Very. It’s their handling of the replacement item and refusing to admit the mistake that they made. They insisted that my order had to be classified as a return and not a replacement even though THEY had sent me the wrong item. Normally this wouldn’t be that bad but I had £37 (about a third of the item price) of cashback on hold for this item that I couldn’t re apply for since the cashback offer had expired. The customer sales representative could not have cared less about this and made it plainly clear that this was the case even though they were totally responsible for me receiving the wrong item. She was insistent that the item had to be sent back marked as a return and they’d give me the money to re-order the item again from them again. I honestly don’t understand why she was pushing for this so much or why she thought I would bother to order from them after they’d messed up and had basically been very rude on the phone. The moral of the story is, don’t order from very. They don’t have a good reputation for a reason.

I had a terrible time with Very. I ordered a sofa 3 weeks ago discounted at £250 from £479 to be delivered on 25th July (today) I had booked the day off work today and tomorrow for delivery and set up. Yesterday I recieved a text to say my item would be dispatched and to arrange delivery by calling. When I called them they they said that the item is out of stock and no longer available. I complained and they used patronising language on the phone to me like 'darling' when I started to complain about the fact that this had wasted alot of time taking two days off work and already got rid of my other storage units in preparation. They then said they would be able to order again but would not be able to let me know the new date. I complained again saying that I would need to know the delivery date as I work- they said this is not possible. Then later rang to give me 3rd August as a date. This morning I checked my order status and it said not available, so I rang very and the customer service person said that this item is not available for order and why don't I order something else. This is extremely annoying, as I asked them if I order something else could they guarantee delivery and they said no. I asked to make a complaint and she said she would log it and send to head office and when I asked about when I can expect to hear back she said that this is not the policy and no one will get back to me. This company is incredibly incompetent I will not order from them again- their complaints procedure appears to be non existent?! Does anyone have the name of the CEO? I would like to tweet them with my complaint. Very = rubbish

Worst customer service ever. Ordered a laz-y-boy sofa and chair on 3rd & 4th June 2015. Was supposed to be delivered by 15th & 16th July 2105, so took 2 days off work to receive them. Items never turned up despite Very confirming on the phone that the items were with the courier for delivery. Apparently the courier Arrow XL claimed my order was incomplete and returned the items to Very, who then cancelled my order. The sofa has now gone up in price (by over £1,000 and is now out of stock & the chair price has increased by over £400). Customer services are useless and hung up on me when i started to complain. I requested callbacks from managers but never received any and had to resort to tweeting their Deputy CEO on Twitter to complain. So i have no furniture, have wasted 2 days holiday and have made numerous calls to their expensive 0844 number and got nowhere. Complete waste of time. Will not use Very, or any of the other associated Shop Direct brands again.

Ordered a pair of trainers. Had to setup an account and go through a credit check, thought it was worth it to get a good deal on the trainers (big mistake). Very.co.uk emailed me saying they would take 2 weeks to arrive. I was disappointing by the long wait. 10 days later I log on to my account to see if there has been any progress. The account said the delay was now over 3 months. Now i am frustrated. I check the normal website and the trainers are still advertised as being delivered in 2 weeks. I call the call center, I was told that they were delayed by 2 months and that the sales website was wrong. I asked to cancel. The lady told me that I couldn't cancel. I asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then cut off. Called again, spoke to a more helpful guy but he couldn't resolve. I then got put on hold for 20 mins (no resolution). My advice would be to avoid this retailer for a more reputable one.

A very unorganised company. I was delivered my sons kids divan bed with nails sticking out and obvo requested to return. I have waiting in 5 times for nobody to turn up and every time you call to find out whats happend its excuse after excuse. Once this has gone back i will never shop woth them again.

I am disgusted! Shocking customer service, to be honest I don't think they understand the concept of good customer service or what good customer service consists of! Staff were useless, no one knew what was going on and kept giving me lies! No one there accepted any responsibility or ownership of their errors! I ordered a bed frame, wardrobe and bedside table, all on the same order. The bed and bedside table arrived but no wardrobe, despite receiving messages that they would be arriving on the 02.07.15 between 11:00-14:00 that day! No one knew why this was the case and made little or no effort to chase this up for me! I have chased this wardrobe for a week now with no success yet! Even the manager I finally spoke to had no idea what was going on-truly appalling! I'm more offended by the fact they e-mailed me with £10off my next order, as if they think I'd ever order of their website ever again! If I could could give a no star, I would. I advise you to not order off them ever. Worst customer service experience ever!!!!

I have had poor communication from staff at very- I ordered a travel system which included a free car seat for that specific travel system, the oram came the car seat didn't. After phone calls and emails made by myself I just got a lot of mixed and misunderstood unapologetic messages from very customer service and they made me out to be a lier!!! It clearly stated on there website "free car seat with any cosatto 3-in1 giggle" then they told me I will get a car seat but it won't match the pram? Then they told me the car seat will be added to my balance, then when it arrives I need to phone to have the car seat taken off my balance, but upon checking my account it says the car seat was declined, so I'm not happy there not as good as there sister company little woods there customer services is awful-Very poor und untrustworthy and they don't follow through with what they tell you when they make the mistake very untrustworthy!!!!!!!!
