“We were travelling to a country we had never been to before so we trusted Viator. We needed a transfer from out hotel to the port. Once we got there, we asked the hotel concierge how much would a taxi would cost for our trip? He said between $25-$30. Viator charged us $145 for a 4 minute car ride. I would NEVER book anything with them again. I have called and e-mailed them and gotten nowhere. What a ripoff!”

“This company is terrible. Please don't buy tickets for those people they will the stole your money. If is any problem with the customer. They don't change the trip and they don't refund you money. It's awful. They are a thief!!!! No body would nothing from to try to help you no body care!!!”

“Sold us a 4 to 5 hour boat excursion ended up being 13 hours not on a boat but mainly in a cab and on a tourist island.in.mexico. horrible experience. We sent them thier confirmation and they simply said there was some confusion. Do not get scammed.”

“I never had a problem with Viatour… until I had a problem. Turns out, they have deplorable standards for their vendors to accurately advertise and supply the tour they describe. Customer service would corporate speak and double talk you with nonsense and irrelevant excuses if you ask for a even partial refund due to the provider not fulfilling it’s tour description. It’s a sham of customer service. Once they have your money, you’re at the mercy of their vendor and they really don’t care if the vendors are falsely advertising.”

“DO NOT BOOK A TOUR - If I could give a negative star I would. I was on a Martha’s Vineyard tour today and had the worse experience. My son actually started looking to see if we could get an Uber. The tour guide talked about his private life the majority of the tour. I paid over $300 to hear about the Driver’s friend’s heart condition, his upcoming doctor appointment, how he traveled the world , how much he made when he sold his house, on and on for 3 hours. Very little about Martha’s Vineyard! We were also nervous with his driving ability and during one of his stories he mentioned he turned 75 in 2019. So he was pushing 80 years old. Irresponsible to let him conduct tours! Horrible horrible experience! And Viator wouldn’t even consider any kind of refund. Not sure I would book anything through Viator if they don’t stand behind the service they sell!”

“Very difficult to get in contact with. And awful customer service. Required to cancel the trip as I endured a severe medical issue and they refused the provide a refund given the circumstances.”

“Avoid at all costs. Booking came back with the wrong date, the same day as I booked, rather than the date I selected, customer service says nothing they can do as booking is within 24hrs and took my 90 euro nothing in return, no activity and no refund! AWFUL AVOID”

“They cancelled my reserved booking 1 day before, saying that it was the touring company who cancelled it because there’s not enough number of people for that date and time. But then they offered me to rebook with the same touring company, and the same time and date, but with more expensive charge. Make that make sense. Scammers!!”

“Viator is probably the worst travel/tour company I've ever encountered. If you can do everything yourself and do not have to call you are winning. However if you have to call you will encounter the worst the world has to offer. First no one speaks English or completely understands it so if they get tired of trying they will hang up on you. Secondly there is absolutely no customer service. I was trying to book several tours for several people on my trip and they screwed it up so bad it was ridiculous. It took 4 phone calls to get 2 trips booked for 3 people because of the unprofessional and unskilled workers they employ. And because they do not have customer service there are no over sights. Don't bother!”

“You all took my money I file a dispute Never got a chance to go on the trip an I have screenshots!! Ashley the supervisor said that I can book the same trip at anytime since I didn’t get my money back an the dock time was wrong an they left my 3 people an 10 other people last year !! I want the the dock at the right time”

“The guide was Dario and he show us nice Places in Zadar. His stories were interested and we had a lot of fun during the trip. So when the tuk tuk batterie is empty he changed simpley the car with annother guid. Also he made a photo from us by the vehicle. Tank you verry much. Yours faithfully Anne,Hellen und Christian.”

“I have been litterally robbed by Viator that charged me Euro 480 for 1 hour yoga class. I did try to ask for a refund in any possible way but they only cancelled the not refundable experience.. so I went to the yoga class and the local guy from viator in Agra and the yoga teacher told me that the price i had been charged, it is insane. Viator steals money from tourist. Shame on You”

“Tour geboekt in san siro stadion met gids. Helaas geen tour met gids maar een zelfstandige rondgang door het stadion. Alleen de kleedkamers waren open. Tour stelde niets voor. Gereclameerd bij viator, maar totaal niet serieus genomen en geen enkele inhoudelijk reactie dat het geboekte niet geleverd is. Schandalige reactie van viator.”

“Terrible company. We had a flight from Richmond, VA to Boston cancelled due to weather. I had the email as confirmation. No refund. Out $415. Down the toilet. I would imagine a big part of their profit margin comes from refusing to accept and refund these cancellations. They remind me of Blockbuster, punishing customers. I would encourage everyone to avoid Viator for any booking. If you see the name go another direction. Reading all the reviews below I see now why their 32% favorability rating is in place. Terrible company.”

“I toured Sagrada Familia in Barcelona via if Viator. The tour provider, Amigo Tours was poorly organized, difficult to understand and follow through the crowd. The tour was conducted in English and Spanish by a Russian tour guide. She appeared a bit sloppy and raised a tacky umbrella for us to follow her. When she spoke in English she appeared knowledgeable but lost some of the group as she moved through the crowd. I heard some of what she said but had to focus to understand. There was no enthusiasm and I felt the 109.00 euros was far too much for what was delivered. I will not likely book through Viator again because it is apparent that vetting providers is a bit inadequate.”

“I am extremely disappointed with the private tour to Hierve el agua we booked. We paid a hefty sum of $528, expecting a comprehensive experience. However, what we received was nothing more than a 1.5-hour taxi ride and entrance tickets worth $2.70. There was no tour guide, and certainly no food included. We feel completely scammed and misled. Furthermore, we realized right after booking that this price was exorbitant for a tour to Hierve el Agua. We tried to contact the company immediately, but they were unreachable. This was a major letdown and a waste of money. I would strongly advise against booking this tour, as it was a complete rip-off.”

“Lowest price garantee scam. They will never refund you on any price that you found lower, they always have excuse. I found way better price on an official site of an activity because they have promo all summer but thats not any good for Viator. They said that their price match the standard price !!!! What !!! I found also a better price for a museum on another site and they also said that their price match standard price !!! Thats really a scam just to not apply their garantee. Beware ans search elsewhere before buying there ALWAYS better price elsewhere.”

“Booked an ATV excursion in Cabo listed as opt for solo drive or ride with someone. When we got there they said we booked for a double with a switch wanted more $$ which is not what explanation was of excursion. Reached out to get a credit or a refund but Cabo adventures said I booked a switch no where on the explanation does it say $75.00 is a switch. When I looked back at booking again it’s a function of your site when you choose two people it takes you to double with no option to choose a single unless you choose 1 traveler. I would like a refund given this was my son’s birthday and he really wanted to ride solo. The people providing the atv rides were great it’s just the confusion on what was booked on the site and what we expected solo rides. I suggest looking at the booking feature when choosing 2 and allow for either single or double that was not evident when booking and gave me no other option when booking”

“Took 2 hour sailing trip pier 66 seattle. Beautiful day to sail fun watching crew and passengers help raise the sails, however was very disappointed there was no description of the sites and the area and history given like the other harbor tours. This was sell booze tour nothing else. They also sold alcohol within a few minutes of docking. The more people drank the louder it became. Then we were asked to leave a tip! What for I might ask? Watching deck hands serve alcohol all tour?. Although I enjoyed the sail I would not recommend this tour to anyone unless they wanted to get waisted during a short time. Highly uneducational!”
