Do not buy from Viking!!!!! Ordered a desk chair a week ago, wasn't sure if I should with deliveries being affected by covid-19 for lots of companies but as viking are advertising home office furniture as part of a covid-19 marketing thing on their website etc I thought they were operating at a reasonable capacity otherwise surely they'd say? Well the chair was so that I could work at home at my desk comfortably. A week later and it hasn't arrived. You can't get through to them, they've closed all contact except some online message form that they don't reply to. They are using Covid-19 as a reason despite other companies being able to reasonably function or being upfront about the fact that they can't. I will never buy from them again. I am £83 down and still have not got a proper desk chair. They should at least do the honourable thing of allowing you to cancel and not taking the funds until they are actually dispatching. I gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero. Terrible terrible service.

No contact back from Viking direct. I sent emails, Facebook messages and no reply about why I was charged twice and when they will refund the fraudulent charge on my account!! Also no sign of the missing order...... total joke of a company!!!! 😡😡😡

Viking used to be an amazing company. Used to use them a few years back when I was buying for another company. Everything was excellent, delivery always on time, any issues resolved promptly. Just took over the buying for a charity and decided to use Viking again. BIGGEST MISTAKE. THE COMPANY IS UNRECOGNISABLE. Needed a printer urgently to set up an off site food bank the next day. Placed order on the website at 9.30am and paid by the charity debit card, and received a confirmation email 5 mins later. Thought all good. At approximately 4.45 missed a call from Viking so called them straight back. 1. The first person I spoke to didn't seem to know what was going on, but said to me that as we were a new customer the Credit Control dept were doing their 'investigations'. I reminded her that we hadn't asked for credit, the order was paid for and our bank had already authorised the payment as pending for Viking (Checked while on the phone). She said they would call me back probably the next day. I informed her that that was unacceptable as the order was urgent, and if they could not deliver they should just say so. After some insistence she finally agreed to put me through to Credit Control. 2. The second person (in Credit Control) just started repeating everything the first one said just in a louder voice! I informed her that I can speak louder as well so I suggest she lowers her voice. Once again I explained that this order was urgent, paid for, and she needs to confirm whether they can deliver or not. She turned around and said we they can't deliver as they had only just received the order at 4.30pm. I informed her that I had a confirmation email from 9.35 am, but she kept on insisting that they had only just received the order, and eventually cut me off! 3. I called back immediately, and spoke to another person in Credit Control. Who said to me they can't deliver as we hadn't paid for it. I sent her a copy of the confirmation email as well as screenshot of the bank payment authorisation, but this Credit Control person didn't seem to understand and said 'that means they haven't paid us'. I then had to educate her about how card authorisation works and she replied, 'you should wait a couple of days for the bank to pay'!!! Her other alternative suggestion was that we should make another payment by bank transfer.!!! Eventually, she said her shift was up, and I gave up. Time 6.00pm. Next morning I emailed Viking to cancel the order and our account, and placed another order with another company with no headache and perfect delivery. The food bank had to be delayed for a few days due to Viking's incompetence. BEWARE.

After messing up a delivery, Viking sent me more product, then the original arrived. Viking waited 6 months to contact me via a very spammy looking email demanding I pay for the extra product, within a few days they threatened me with a collections agency. I paid the 'debt' and have decided to never work with Viking again. I contacted customer service to ask them to delete my personal info, they assured me this was done and the next day I could log in and still see my personal info. I called again to request they delete my personal info and the customer service person lied again, saying it was deleted and just giving long frustrating silences when asked why they lied the previous time. I logged back into my account to see the personal info they said they deleted twice. I'm taking this to the Data protection commission. This company has blatantly violated my rights under GDPR

BE WARNED ABOUT THIS COMPANY: I ordered a Shed. It arrived. Wrong size was sent. I queried and complained. Without any notification other packages were delivered, and none of them added up to the sized shed I ordered! The packages were left outside on the front of my house. No knock at the door, no card left, no notification of these being due to be delivered either. I have contacted through email and chat VIKING DIRECT about 15 times. The Customer Service is abysmal. I was told, collection on Fri 18th June 2021. No one called. I contacted VIKING by chat and was told Mon 2st June 2021 I checked the booking, and no sign of any dates booked. I went on chat again, and was told that it will now take over 2 weeks but I cannot be given a date!!! All I want now is my £275 refund. I am now seeking Legal Advice.

Hi, You are a disaster of a company. I ordered few goods on 13th January. It was supposed to be delivered in 1 day. Never happened! Contacted them on 21st of January, the goods will be delivered in 2 days. Never happened! Contacted them on 25th of January, the goods will be delivered in 2 days. Never happened! Contacted them on 28th of January, the goods will be delivered in 5 days. Never happened! Asked for a refund on 4th February, Told refund will happen in 14 days. Never happened! Asked for a refund 25th of February, Told refund will happen in 14 days. Never happened! Asked for a refund of 22nd of March, Told refund will happen in 14 days again. You are such a disaster of a company. DO you not have any credibility? It has been 3 months, running behind you for a refund.

This is not an Irish company but I, like many others it seems, didn’t realise this when placing orders. I have been waiting almost 5 weeks for my order to arrive and they are fobbing me off with lie after lie. Two weeks ago I was told I’d have it by the end of the week or they would refund me but that didn’t happen. They are now blaming Brexit. However I have received at least 20 orders from the UK in that time with no issues. They have now informed me that a refund will take 2 week as the department handling this has a backlog. I am not surprised with service as appalling as this. I have asked for someone to call me but this will take 2 days and to be honest I’m not expecting it to happen. This is the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and if I could give them a zero I would.

I ordered a chair on the 14th of January 2021. The website promised next day delivery. After 4 days waiting I messaged them and they told me that next day delivery was not available anymore because of Brexit, but it would have been 72 hours (which already is past that time frame). I received an e-mail stating that I would receive the parcel on Friday that week. After a month, countless chats, messages and emails, I still do not have the parcel, the company always tells me the same thing - we will have an update in 8 days - and nothing was done to solve this problem. UPS is still showing as "We're attempting to verify the package location. / Claim issued". When I ask what that means I get a standard message - we will have an update in 8 days -. Avoid using Viking.ie, this has been the worst experience I ever encountered here in Ireland, not only because the parcel still has not arrived after 4 weeks, but also because of the misleading information they provide on their website. Consider your options, and avoid this company.

They don't even deserve 1 star, absolutely shocking company, AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. Lied to constantly by contact centre staff (Have chat transcripts which openly contradict each other) unhelpful, rude and clueless. This company shouldn't be allowed to trade. The WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with

Ordered an office chair that you didn't have in stock or available, yet you took my money and have still not refunded me. You told me 14 days! Bloody ridiculous, you blame Covid19! You have bad reviews for doing exactly the same to others! Scam artists at best! Martin Mayes

Made an order early March for items on back order. Money left my account. No notification regarding dispatch or delivery. April came and still no items. Called Viking Direct Customer Services (just choose option 1 for a human) and spoke with a very helpful Customer Care advisor named Marie. Promptly sent me two x 24 packs of Cushelle for free on next day delivery by way of an apology and advised that according to her “manager” (in lower case) my order should be delivered soon. April came and went and still my order didn’t arrive. Countless calls requesting information about my order to be told that it had been cancelled! Took payment AGAIN for the same items after advising that my refund had been issued for the original order. Sent another pack of 12 x Cushelle for free. After finding that my original payment had not been refunded at all after having been lied to by the “manager” (in lower case) who stated that it had been issued, countless more calls had to be made, chasing and requesting my refund and being fobbed off by various “managers” (in lower case) using many embarrassing, cringeworthy excuses - even going so far as to pretend that the system crashed whilst I was on the phone so couldn’t give me any further information (really?). After waiting THREE MONTHS I finally went to PayPal and filed a claim. Within 24 hours my money was refunded by PayPal. Anybody still waiting for a refund? I would advise you to do exactly the same. Although some of their staff are helpful and made generous gestures to me, the management team (in lower case) are at best shambolic and at worst underhand, untrustworthy and appear even slightly shady. Would I order from this company again? Never. I believe that this company are showing all the signs of going bust. I got my almost £60 back before they do; I urge you to do the same.

This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a desk chair online that was shown as in stock with next day delivery. The chair did not arrive so I contacted them via email (there was no answer on the phone) and was told it was backordered. I asked when it would be back in stock and was told they did not know. As I needed the chair urgently I cancelled and ordered elsewhere. I was told that a refund would be given within 14 days. It is now over a month later and I have still not been given my money back despite sending multiple emails to chase. I’m now going to speak to my credit card company to see if they can get the money back and if that fails contact the financial ombudsman. Beware of this company!

Placed an order for printer paper and ink cartridges on the 29th March. So far I have only been sent the paper, but that is useless without the print. Interestingly, my items were also advertised as 'in stock' when I placed my order, my account is now showing that my order is complete, despite me having an email acknowledging my original purchase. Nobody bothers to return your emails and automated telephone service is a real money maker as you have to listen for ages before being informed that nobody can actually take your call. Avoid this company as it couldn't care less.

I, like many of the other reviews I have just read placed an order with this company only to not receive my item despite it saying on the website that it is in stock. I ordered an office chair and some arms for the chair separately. The arms came 2 days after the order was made, but still no chair, although the full amount has been taken from my bank. I have tried to contact them several times with no success, and when you ring the phone number you just get a message saying that they cannot take the call and the line goes dead. Absolute disgrace. Will never use this company again

AWFUL! Ordered Air Con unit, apparently THEY got price wrong, no email/call, very disappointed, i feel very misled. I fell they have cheated their way into getting my personal details, not happy.

Bought it on 13th, promised next day delivery, didn't turn up so I cancelled on their Livechat on 15th. The day after I cancel (16th) they dispatch it. Pathetic customer service, misleading information on the website. Items are not stocked at Viking, but at their suppliers. Communication between them and their suppliers must rely on "some bloke ringing them up" because this is disgraceful. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. Now told I have to wait for 90 working hours for a response. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They delivered my order to a random address in a different county and are chasing me for payment, absolute joke. No matter who you talk to, they say they have GPS and photo of delivery, both showing somebody else's address,
