"Purchased two pairs of vari-focal glasses from the Barnstaple store four weeks ago at the cost of \u00a3734.40 and one pair came apart yesterday. My partner took them in for a repair today and was met with a bad attitude by whom I believe was the Manager. The black screw has been replaced with an oversized silver screw which stands out. This is an unacceptable level of service. She was given the option silver, brass or nothing. Terrible Attitude and poor service so I will exercise my right under the 100 day money back guarantee. This should have been dealt with in a professional manner which it was not. No better than the others, happy to take the money but won't back up with the promises."

"We went to the Godalming vision express Opticians to buy glasses for me and my wife. There was a 4 min delay to our 1st appointment due to a parking issue. Surprisingly a lady came one minute after we enter the shop and told us their computer system is down and they have to do everything manually. Thus, they won't be able to compensate that 5min delay and we need to book a new appointment. She was behaving so rudely as she is giving us glasses for free of charge. We politely cancel our both appointments and stepped out thinking never to returned to them again."

"Had an appointment for contact lenses health and eye test. Was refused because didn\u2019t a copy of the actual prescription, showing the date and optometrists signature but had an email from Specsavers with confirmation current prescription. Checked on website it said doesn\u2019t need prescription, called customer service they told me same thing. Manager from Tesco Elmers End Beckenham need more customer service training she is very rude and unprofessional doesn\u2019t know how to deal with customers. Very disappointing Vision Exspress."

"Fake glasses"

"I have been going to the Croydon store for 14 years, in recent years the service hasn\u2019t been great but I was honestly too lazy to move. Most of the time I would go to VE at Westfield or in Holborn anyway because the Croydon store have given both me and my Mum, the wrong prescription in new glasses before. They completely messed up my Brother\u2019s glasses also so now he goes to Boots. \r\n\r\nHowever, after my last eye test, my glasses were scratched by the store (inner corner by the nose bridge, identical scratches on both lenses) I believe when the arms were being tightened. As I wear contact lenses I didn\u2019t wear them on the way out so didn\u2019t notice until the next morning. I called the store and they said I\u2019d need to bring them in. I did so and received the most disgusting service from Robert the Store Manager. He basically accused me of lying and scratching the lenses myself. I\u2019m lucky my partner was with me as a witness. He was aggressive, accusatory, didn\u2019t even acknowledge me in the beginning and spoke mostly to my partner. His aggression was so vile I called the Head Office and suggested they review the store CCTV. \r\n\r\nDue to the pandemic I haven\u2019t yet had time to change opticians but I will be doing so when my next eye test is due. I cannot believe the treatment by a so called Manager. It\u2019s also worth noting that it took them 2 weeks to fix the lenses they had damaged in the first place and when they gave them back they hadn\u2019t fitted the right side lens properly anyway! Thank goodness Head Office were helpful, I sent them photos of the lenses and luckily had a photo of me wearing them the day before in which you can\u2019t see the scratches. Besides which, the scratches were so noticeable, the Ophthalmologist would\u2019ve noticed then during my eye exam if I had brought them in like that. Robert didn\u2019t want to acknowledge the store had damaged my \u00a3550 glasses that were in pristine condition but the person I spoke to on the phone didn\u2019t seem surprised at all."
