I've been waiting for 3 weeks for a simple refund of an item returned online, and now been told it will take another week. No one contacted me to confirm receipt of the returned item either. The instore experience is better but online is awful.

I suggest find a different optician set up. I have had a very unhappy experience with Vision Express. I have been wearing progressive glasses for four years. I needed to replace them and had meanwhile shifted to Delhi. They charged less, using Indian glasses, which was OK to me. The technician did the eye power reading work. I ordered two spectacles. But when few days later I can I was very disturbed by the right eye being completely out of focus with blurred images. So I refused to pick them up. Then another technician repeated the eye check up and found a different reading. He seemed more knowledgeable than the lady who had checked the first time. Few days later I was told a senior technician would come from Manesar. So I went and the process was repeated. After that they took more than two weeks to receive the glasses and specs from Goa/Manesar. I collected them having taken the commitment. But the glasses are unsuitably set. I still prefer my older glasses but that frame is on its last legs. So I am stuck with these expensive glasses. My view is that Vision Express lacks technical ability, in assessing the eye powers, in making glasses in their factory in Goa and also in fitting them properly. These new glasses are off centre and not suitable for either computer work or reading or for the 5 to 10 feet distance usage. Perhaps I will find new frames for my old glasses. I am stuck. You may be lucky and I wish you good luck. There is no reason for you to be also stuck.

I went to Vision Express in Swiss Cottage because they had a great range of frames. I picked the one I loved and thought, while I'm there will get the lenses fitted to them. I wish I had just bought the frame and shopped around for the lenses. (Not the first time I had the same type of lenses, but unfortunately my usual optical shop had to shut down during the second lockdown). At Vision Express, the bill was twice the price I used to pay at my usual optician's. I was silly enough not to stand up and leave. Later on, I called the shop and asked why the bill was so high. The lady explained that shops have different deals with different companies. The lesson to remember from this is, when you find a great frame, get it, shop around, and see if you can find the same type of lenses for a reasonable price.

Yes It was a very bad experience. I had made glasses for my wife in Feb 2022. It was frameless. In April 2022 frameless fitting was off. I have given glasses at Sion, Mumbai store for refitting. Now they are not finding the glasses and not able to trace whereabouts. It's pathetic experience, glasses worth 16K are vanished.

Booking the appointment was nice and easy and the optometrist was fantastic, however the reception team all gave me different information when I tried to change my appointment. Also, even after covid, the staff did not wipe down the chin rest and forehead bar before putting my daughter on the machine. When I asked her to wipe it, she said they always do it after the patient leaves, but I have worked in optics and these things should be wiped down in front of the patient, otherwise the patient has no way of knowing that it has been done. Even the staff member doesn't know if the previous colleague wiped it down.

I decided to sign up for contact lenses as i hate wearing glasses. Had my trial in december and went back to sign up in january. Had an email off hermes 6th january to say they were expecting my parcel. Never recieved them. 3 weeks later i got them. Rang the customer care line twice. Was told by a lady called Sharon in an email she had ordered them again and id recieve them in 2 to 3 working days. Never had them so rang again and spoke to a man called Owen. He too said he would get them sent out to me. Didnt happen. In the end the store got them sent out to me. To be fair the ladies in the wrexham branch are lovely and helpful. So much for the customer care staff. Dont even bother contacting them. If i dont recieve my lenses next time i will be cancelling and going specsavers. Not happy. They good promisers but nothing happens. I will be just going in to the store now. Would never ring them again. Looking at some of the reviews im not the first its happened to. Mistakes happen i get that. Parcels get lost i get that but its how you deal with it and im far from impressed with the customer care staff. The man promised me 50 percent off the next 3 months. I bet thats an empty promise too.

My teen is eligible for free sight test & NHS voucher as they are named on my tax credit award. NONE of the staff there, absolutely NONE, were aware of this benefit & kept saying that as my teen had left school they're not eligible. I ended up having to phone tax credits during the appointment, & had to pass the phone to the V Express manager so they could explain this benefit to them. Happy with the outcome, but a customer SHOULD NOT have to explain how the benefit system works to a company that already offer NHS vouchers.

Today i went to Vision Express in Huntingdon town center shop. The assistant was measuring me up to give me a price on a new pair of glasses, putting black pen spots all over my own glasses for some reason to check my lenses i suspect. Half way through she got up and left me to serve another customer . The boss ended up giving me a price which i am thinking about . Only to find when i got back to my car black pen spots all over my glasses she didn't even clean my glasses in my book that's not very professional !

I went to your Lakeside Thurrock store on the 18th of October to have new lenses fitted. I walked away without a prescription because I was told I will receive a weeks trial lenses in a couple of days and to try them out. It's been 13 days and I still haven't heard anything about them. I tried to get through to the store on the phone for two days before someone was able to pick up my call, only to tell me that they can't give me my prescription until after I do the trial. I just want my prescription so I can go elsewhere. I was told the lenses would take a couple of days to come in, and during a global pandemic, I would understand if there are delays. But nearly two weeks and still no lenses? What makes you think I'm going to set up an account for my contact lenses in the future for my supply? When you can't even provide me with your current service of supplying me a weeks worth of contacts for trial? Why am I being denied my contact prescription? I thought you legally had to supply it when asked or at the end of a fitting? My prescription is part of my health records? I called your customer services this morning and even they couldn't get through to the store and said the only thing they can do is to email the store. Someone said they would do the same things 4 days ago and I still haven't received an email from the store. I just want my prescription so I can go elsewhere. I've been without contacts for months and the store is telling me, I have to do the trial and come back in?.... I can't get another appointment for 2/3weeks as it is! Just want my prescription, is it that difficult? I left that contact lens fitting with high hopes for my new lenses, the appointment went really well and I have no complaints about the eye examination and fitting. But your store gets a little aggravated when they know they'll lose business elsewhere. Would I recommend your store to anyone else? Hell no.

Went to the Edgware Broadwalk branch to get a new pair of patterned frames but disappointed with the lack of choice....asked a shop assistant to help but she was short and rude with me so I just left (Asian woman with long hair)....I work as a shop assistant and would try and help customers instead of dismissing them!!!! Only good point was plenty of ordinary frames to choose from if you just want standard specs....

I Felt I was rushed into buying glasses immediately after eye test guided to buy ones I do not like ,I needed more time to think, I also asked to put a screw in an old frame that had come loose and was told just buy some new ones even though that set cost me a fortune , previous staff in this store where much more customer focused rather than money profit focused.

my first proper eye test other than school and doctors. The test its self was good but after I was not told anything just look at some frames. Then told to bring a frame over to a table next thing I know I had brought them. Not told anything or when to pick them up.My wife had a lot better experience going through all the frame styles why she needed them and when to pick then up.

Your in store shop at Tesco's is too small for purpose. I was shuffled from one small room to another. I gave my previous prescription to the tester and told him I wanted the glasses to work at my computer screen 30" away. But he was more interested in up-selling me. The glasses, when they arrived still don't do the job.

After eye test order new glasses, cost quite a bit. Went to collect glasses after about 10 days to find scratch on arm. Lady I dealt with not very customer friendly in my opinion. Went back second time, again about 10 days to find still had same scratch on arm and lens had been replaced instead. Third time lucky, again waited approximately another 10 days. Not impressed taken approximately 4 weeks since eye test to getting glasses.
