I was disappointed of my eyeglasses. First, the tint was not I expected . I was not informed from the start what the degree of the tint . The lady told me tint will be nice to me , no proper explaination. The tint was much even I am not under the sun or light even at night inside the house . I have to returned it and they change it to a clear lens. The lady told it is unusual that there is a fault, they are happy to change it for free. I will never go back to Vision express. Prices of eye glasses are expensive so I expect a good service.Thank you.

After my test and selecting glasses and sunglasses - could not see through the glasses without double vision. Re test of the eyes and advised to go to hospital. Delay with hospital appointment. Would have thought that first test would have highlighted the double vision as I had mentioned it then!

Vision Express had taken over my old Opticians and the service is definitely budget, whilst prices are not. I visited to ask about getting an arm on my Silhouette glasses fixed. I was told that this was not possible and was offered a single Silhouette frame they claimed they had left over. They offered me this at a price of over £300. Needing glasses and following my eye test, (I am Type 1 diabetic), I bought the cheapest glasses they had at £78 and these are fine. I've since learned that my Silhouette glasses could have been repaired, although the shop claimed to have no records of my purchase, which was some time ago. It appears that all old records from Robinsons Opticians have been lost. Because my particular glasses were unidentified, Vision Express were unable to replace the arm. They then offered me again the one item they had in stock, giving me a price substantially higher than the one I was first quoted and then offering a 'discount'. I have since learned that a simple repair would have cost me significantly less than £100. From the outset, the staff demonstrated a complete lack of awareness of my product. I will be seeking another optician.

Didn’t sent off to be developed! When I contacted them they said they were waiting for me to call in and select final options. I had to remind them that I had been in and updated my order 10 days ago! They apologised but it didn’t get better! They made and excuse that the lab couldn’t do alterations for some reason! But WHY didn’t they contact me and explain instead of waiting for me to call two weeks later! It’s now over a month since and still waiting one pair turned up other hasn’t! It’s a 60 mile round trip for us and so far we have travelled over hundred miles and still without glasses!

I have been a customer of vision express for 4 years now. This year their customer service for some reason has got terrible. I am not blaming the staff as I think there do their best. I ordered my new glasses and had the incorrect lenses in both sets. It got worst as they cancelled my follow up appointment. I asked for my £350 to be refundunded and managed to get in to see another optician there on the day. They apologised for the error. It's been 6 weeks all in. Tried calling them numerous times with no luck to see if they had arrived. Finally got through on the phone only for them to say they text me to say they were in. Why don't they email? Which I never received. It's a shame they have been very good in the past. Will not be back after I have hopefully collected my latest pair. If they are correct. Sort your customer services out Vision Express. You have loyal customer's that have run out of patience.

I had appt with Vision Express Tesco Lincoln within the last 6 weeks. I found the experience below par leaving much to be desired at all points of delivery. The optometrist seemed disinterested and the appointment was hurried. I was not given enough time between switching lenses to see which one gave optimum vision. I did ask if the lenses exchange could be repeated many times but the same speed ensued. It was as quick as this: "which one is better No. 1 or .. No. 2?" I was not given the time to concentrate on the lenses at all. I did receive a prescription. Because I lacked confidence in the prescription I made an appointment elsewhere in Lincoln to have my eyesight re-tested. There I was given the time to distinguish between lenses, asked about my health and medications, received insight into a medical condition and I received advice on how to maximise sight potential. The service delivered was comfortable, meaningful and customer orientated. I received the recommended lenses which are spot on.

I had a look round the Cheshunt Vision Express earlier in the week and, subject to the results of an eye test, choose two pairs of glasses, one being Rayban sun glasses. Very helpful staff so no problems there. Also a great selection of frames! Unfortunately, having been on the brink of spending over £300 on two pairs of glasses I decided not to buy anything at the last minute. Why? Well nobody wants to feel like they have been intentionally mislead which was definitely the case with the way that the Raybans where presented. The entire sun glasses wall was awash with bright orange signs advertising 50% off and they were above or next to each brand. However when I sat down with the saleswomen I found out that not only were Raybans not in the offer but if I wanted lenses that had the rayban logo on (which, let’s face it is pretty important if you choose a pair) that it will cost you an extra £150-£240!!!! Making just that pair of sunglasses £300-£400! Now, had the frames been clearly labelled as being not in the sale and branded lenses shown to be extra and by how much I still would have bought them. The fact that this was clearly hidden from the costumer until the last minute came across as very dishonest and nobody wants to buy something from a business after being made to feel like that.

Victoria centre Nottingham. The eye test was great the sales assistant for choosing glasses and sunglasses let the store down. The assistant showed me the cheapest sunglasses and said how good the blue gradient mirror glasses looked and then showed me the purple. I liked the blue had them measured etc then she said so these will be a brown lense. I asked her why she had shown me purple lenses if they were going to be brown anyway. In the in I had to tag into another customer just so I could try the sunglasses in the cabinet. I was offered single lense for the sunglasses but told I wouldn't be able to see the dashboard instruments or sat nav.. My assistant struggled to understand that I had a £30 email voucher. I was in the store almost two hours and still hadn't had the field vision test. Very dissapointed at the length of waiting time and the assistant. She did not advice on pricing for options and in the end gave a total cost for glasses and sun glasses. I am not sure what I've ordered in terms of lenses and just hope there ok. £350 and I dint know what I'm getting.

I went into a store in Lincoln, EN for an eye exam and to get glasses. The optometrist who did my exam was amazing and he is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of just the 1. My plan was to buy eye glasses in store and to buy cheap sunglasses online, but when I asked the two workers in the front for my pupil distance, the man was very very rude to me. The lady just looked down at the ground and the man said, "no. it's too expensive" and walked away. I was blown away. Really thought they were kidding at first! It's not expensive to measure pupil distance at all. Instead of spending my money with vision express, I am now spending over 130 pound at Boots instead where they treated me with respect.

Didn't like the way she tried to get us to go up in the price of glasses. I said what I wanted to pay for frames and the assistant moved up to nearly double. Don't think I will be going back.

Had an eye test and purchased glasses at a cost of £765, all ok so far, however, I had previously returned a pair as the lens had not been finished and you could see the white/unfinished edge on the lens - not sure if this was due to bad fitting or unfinished, but bad workmanship either way, anyway I did give them a second chance. On collection quick check to see if they fitted ok, and off I go, its not until you get home and really have a look in the mirror, same problem as last time but not as bad, so another trip and they agreed the edge had not been finished but said they can send them back to be finished? Is it me or would you expect the glasses to be finished when you collect them? Despite being a very loyal long term customer I don't think I will return.

Usually go elsewhere but had broke glasses and could not get an appointment at regular opticians. Got appointment next day at vision express. Lovel staff initially. Eye test was very good. Superb range of frames. Chose frames but felt like I could not have a proper look around store as the girl helping was obviously doing her job and trying to help but kept bringing me frames to try and didn't really let me browse on my own. I have vari vocals so needed measurements which the girl did then got a second opinion, bothe were different measurements so they had to be done again. Glasses ordered and paid for and to be honest it only took a few days to arrive. Returned to store to collect glasses. Given box and told to try on. Lenses were dirty after obviously being at factory . Not cleaned by staff , just told to try on and asked if they felt ok which they did,. I had a quick look in mirror, said thanks and left. At no point were they check whilst on my face to see if everything was perfect. On returning home, instead of everyone I saw saying how nice my new glasses were they were saying how different each side of the frame was to the other. On inspection and even drawing an outline on paper of the frame, it was so obvious that the left side was pointed and the right side rounded. I returned next day to show them the fault, the girl was very nice and noticed immediately. I left them with her until a manager was in next day and someone would ring me. They rang, left message on answer machine saying they had reordered new frames and would ring when in. I was not happy with this so rang asking for my money back, which was my statutory entitlement. I had to visit the store for a refund. And when I did this the manageress was quite abrupt, gave refund with a very strange manner . She acted as if the money was coming out of her own pocket. At no point did she try and get me to browse for another pair or even apologise for their mistake.or even give me the eyetest free for all my inconvenience of firstly having no glasses because of their incompetence and secondly for my time wasted. Or for that matter the fact that they are trained at their job and let me get measured for lenses in a wonky pair or frames by two staff then on picking them up, let me leave the store wearing a wonky pair of glasses. The complete glasses were Little short of £500 and they were shocking. The customer after care was absolutely appalling. And I would never return or recommend. You are the professionals at this not the customer yet you let someone buy and walk away with unwearable glasses then made me feel like they were a child at school who had done something wrong when they were returned for a refund.
