Kathy at the Newbury brach was fantastic and provided a great service, extremely helpful. The optician was also fantastic, very informative. Thanks so much for the service.

Fantastic service at Beverley would recommend. The optician was very though, and the staff very helpful. My glasses came on the day they said

I keep being given dispatch dates for my order 3 times. 3 new deliver dates in 2 weeks, and no glasses yet. Stay away from these people, they are awful. They just make things up as they go along. Liars.

Worst glasses I have ever had, paid over £300 for frame varifocal ,reaction lenses, went back to store four times during initial period ,had retest if you could call it that, just put prescription in the machine and was told it was ok. End of story is another £250 paid at a private optician for glasses that I can actually use. Will NEVER use vision express again or recommend to anyone

Everything was fine until I got my new frames and prescription, I wore the glasses for a solid week and was getting dizziness and eye pain behind my eyes, went to specsavers for a second opinion and it turned out vison express had put my prescription too high and added a lens that made black more bold, went back for a refund as I wasn’t satisfied and was greeted very awkwardly and it made me really uncomfortable I nearly had to plead for a refund even though it is in there 100 day return policy, felt really unwelcomed so I will never go back

stay away from this company bought two set of lenses not frames paid a whopping 350 pounds for the two sets supposed to be the best lenses anti scratch. after 8 months got a massive scratch on the lenses went back to vision express at tesco and said they will not replace it because its wear and tear. after paid premium money for rubbish lenses will not go back to this disonest company

Very poor frame quality and very poor warranty service, and the price of the products is high. The price of the product does not correspond to the ratio of quality and post-warranty period.

My appointment was at 2.45 . When I knocked on the door at 3 pm after waiting for 15 minutes the optometrist did not apologise and said she was still busy in a very rude manner . I decided to try vision express after using boots opticians for years . I will definitely be retuning to boots . All in all she was 30 minutes late and then blames her colleague who had not returned

I don't want to be critical but in this instance I have to be. On Dec 21st 2021 I ordered replacement lens for a pair of my own Silhouette rimless frames from the Trowbridge Branch in Wiltshire. After about 6-weeks I called to find out why I had not received my glasses. I was told that 3 sets of lens, manufactured by a company by the name of Optimum had been rejected by VE due to a chip/scratches etc. I found this barely believable. I asked why Optimum were providing the lenses as I had purchased a varifocal high quality lens that I understood would be from Rodenstock or Hoya etc, in other words a well-known brand. So why were VE using a different manufacturer? The reason I was given was that my frames could not take what they called "out of range lens". Now my prescription is fairly standard and that type of frame I had been using for a very long time without issues. A number of calls were made along with emails to get to the bottom of this. I was concerned that the Optimum company that had apparently supplied 3 sets of inferior lenses and so I contacted Optimum. I explained the position to a woman that could not care less and who put the phone down on me without showing one word of concern or even uttering an apology. According to the Trowbridge Manager, who has done his best to help, the issue apparently was due to an incorrect PC issue! The result of this issue is that today, after 9 weeks waiting the glasses have been delivered to me. I have requested from VE some kind of proof as to what really happened at their end and email proof to me has been promised on two occasions. To date 23/02/2022 I have received nothing, not even a response to the email sent to the Trowbridge branch and apart from verbal apologies I have not received anything in writing. Quite frankly, until I receive some proof of what transpired I am doubtful of the story I have been told. On the plus side, the first set of replacement lenses to another frame were fine and I have now been promised a free Silhouette frame and lenses when I return to the UK as a result of the fiasco. I would also add that the Optician who examined my sight was extremely good. In hindsight should have gone to my local independent optician - quite possibly yes.

Paid a lot of money for designer glasses unfortunately the frames fell apart after just 2 years . Bham Bull ring store eventually offered 25% discount of costly repair .. no thanks I’ll take my business elsewhere ! Shocking lack of aftercare service

Eye test was good but assistance given to choose at silverburn very poor. I ended up with a child's frame and a man's frame. Both were unsuitable after lenses fitted. The reading glasses were changed but they are so heavy I have bruises on my nose. Staff very intimidating, I am afraid to go back again.

Went into Aberdeen Bon-accord branch for yearly check up, made the mistake of having a pair of glasses around my neck that were not bought there, the rudeness i encountered was shocking, their determination to get hold of these glasses knew no bounds, the optometrist although polite at first seem to not know what she was doing, the subsequent two assistants that dealt with me were very rude and disrespectful, after 20 years going there i will not be back, all they are interested in is sell, sell, sell.

What a shame after being with vision express for quite a few years, arrived for my appointment early but waited until 2 pm for the start after wAiting for nearly 20 min I asked when I would be seen to even though there was no one in the shop, on being told the optician knew I was waiting I advised that I also was a busy woman and didn’t think a 20 minute wait without being told why was acceptable. Left and went to Spec savers where I found a different attitude. Shame on you Northampton

I decided to sign up for contact lenses as i hate wearing glasses. Had my trial in december and went back to sign up in january. Had an email off hermes 6th january to say they were expecting my parcel. Never recieved them. 3 weeks later i got them. Rang the customer care line twice. Was told by a lady called Sharon in an email she had ordered them again and id recieve them in 2 to 3 working days. Never had them so rang again and spoke to a man called Owen. He too said he would get them sent out to me. Didnt happen. In the end the store got them sent out to me. To be fair the ladies in the wrexham branch are lovely and helpful. So much for the customer care staff. Dont even bother contacting them. If i dont recieve my lenses next time i will be cancelling and going specsavers. Not happy. They good promisers but nothing happens. I will be just going in to the store now. Would never ring them again. Looking at some of the reviews im not the first its happened to. Mistakes happen i get that. Parcels get lost i get that but its how you deal with it and im far from impressed with the customer care staff. The man promised me 50 percent off the next 3 months. I bet thats an empty promise too.

Had an appointment for contact lenses health and eye test. Was refused because didn’t a copy of the actual prescription, showing the date and optometrists signature but had an email from Specsavers with confirmation current prescription. Checked on website it said doesn’t need prescription, called customer service they told me same thing. Manager from Tesco Elmers End Beckenham need more customer service training she is very rude and unprofessional doesn’t know how to deal with customers. Very disappointing Vision Exspress.

Tried to order online contact lenses with vision express as the last time I went to Specsavers they messed up my order and it took almost 8 weeks for them to arrive (ridiculous). The vision express online system needs to be fixed for new customers to have to automatically upload their prescriptions, rather than wait a few days (thinking it's on its way) and then get an email saying you need to email the prescription over to them. What is the point in having to put in my eye test details and dates if they can't contact my last optician to get my prescription? Anyway my original order got cancelled as I had unbeknown to me tried to buy the wrong contact lenses and they wouldn't just transfer the details to the right prescription, or just add the prescription I had emailed over to my online profile. I had to re-order, wait for them to email me again on another few days, then email them back the prescription. This process could be far easier if they just asked for it to be uploaded when I'd originally ordered.
