An absolute well deserved 5 stars to the vision express in Silverburn, Glasgow. Lost my glasses (prescribed by another company) & after calling the store on a busy Saturday, they managed to do an eye test that afternoon. Even better I was able to collect my glasses after ONE HOUR! And the style was much nicer Han my previous pair!! Completely impressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff... can’t recommend the store highly enough.

I paid over £100 for 2 pairs of glasses, 1 DVB and the other Calvin Clein Jeans from the Leicester Store in Tesco at the Beaumont Leys shopping center. My husband also paid for 2 pairs of glasses on the same day. We were told it would take around a week at the beginning of March 2019, we received the text on 25th March to tell us they were ready but by this time we were out of the country on holiday without any new glasses. When we did collect them they did not have the cases to go with the glasses and gave me Ralph Lauren cases instead. Does this now mean that some poor sucker will purchase Ralph Lauren glasses and have no cases? I complained to customer services who in all fairness took action and had the store correct the error. However, the store sent me 2 replacement cases without packaging and lens cleaners, one of the cases had 2 scratches on. The stores service is below par, when you pay for new in mint condition products you expect just that. Not only did they send me what looks like none new cases they put them in a carrier bag they give you when you get glasses in store and sellotaped it and put it in the post, how unprofessional. Appalling, vision express need to correct the actions and service of this particular store asap. It is giving them a bad name and as it is in a Tesco score it is reflecting on them also. I have contacted their customer services again today and will be posting the outcome on here too.

i ordered my sons glasses 2 weeks ago and paid for them at the same time was told it takes up to 10 working days for them to come to store and they would phone me when they came in I told them its urgent as his glasses are completely broken beyond repair and he cannot see anything without them .I phoned the store on Friday 12 april was told they would be here today 17th april so just phoned them now to be told they haven't come in so they phoned labs who make there glasses to be told that the lenses wasn't any good and they knew this 3 days ago but didn't bother to let the store or anyone know so now they are saying another week if the next lenses are ok I thought VISION EXPRESS ment fast not waiting weeks once I receive these glasses my son urgently needs I will not use vision express again and will not recommend them to anyone I am due for my eyes testing and new glasses but will not be using vision express ever again when I spoke to store manager adam Blackburn he apologised but he could not give me the labs phone number so I could complain to them direct as I think its disgusting that the labs have not informed the store about this so maybe vision express need to sort there supplier out

I love going to VE as I think the staff are amazing Graham and his staff at Tesco Maryhill Glasgow are so helpful and take time to talk and make anyone feel welcome and no pressure to buy glasses you can’t afford!!! Would definitely recommend people use the Maryhill Tesco and see what I am talking about

I went to Vision Express Bexleyheath today. My husband has been a customer for years but I have only been to Boots Opticians up till now. So dissatisfied dissapointed with Boots I changed and what a utterly wonderful experience. I was looked after by Reetiha who was attentive caring and listened. Optometrists name Dipak Chawda who was highly professional and very thorough. Excellent service that I’ve never experienced before. 10 out of 10 ... and a huge thank you to all the staff that were welcoming polite friendly and professional.

I've always been a Specsavers customer but for convenience I changed to visions express in Tesco roborough. Bad choice. I've had an appointment booked and confirmed by text, which I took time off work for at the end of the day. I arrived and was told I was half an hour late and had now missed it. Turns out someone had clicked the wrong slot but somehow sent me the text for the slot I had agreed to. I was given lenses by the optician who knew I wear them all day and every day. I went back after a month to say my eyes were dry as anything with them and could I try something else. They passed me over to a trainee who was in her final year of study. Fine by me. She told me I shouldn't have been given these lenses for the time I wear them for! She suggested I try a set of dailies and a set of weeklies. Brilliant. I arrived to collect once I got my text and was only given dailies. I asked where the weeklies were and was told they don't give out two types of trial lenses at once!! Ok. So I tried the dailies and went for the check up. I said I liked them but still wanted to try the weekly to compare. So I was given weekly ones to try, and went for the check up after trying for a while. I said these are fine but I'll go with the daily ones. The optician hadn't saved any info on the fit of the daily ones on my check up for them! So guess what. I had to trial them AGAIN. I was furious. But I did, and went for the check up. Finally all was ok and was changed over. Except I wasn't. I waited and waited. Almost 2 months for delivery. Finally they arrived and were the OLD style lenses!! I went back to the shop and was told they can order the ones I was supposed to have. I agreed. Eventually they arrived a week later and I swapped lenses. I checked the price of the new ones were £21 rather than the £28 I'd been paying for the awful dry ones. This was all before Christmas. I've noticed tonight I am STILL paying £28. I am now done with vission express. I'm moving back to Specsavers. I've had enough. It is a total joke. I never had any of this with Specsavers!!

I had a look round the Cheshunt Vision Express earlier in the week and, subject to the results of an eye test, choose two pairs of glasses, one being Rayban sun glasses. Very helpful staff so no problems there. Also a great selection of frames! Unfortunately, having been on the brink of spending over £300 on two pairs of glasses I decided not to buy anything at the last minute. Why? Well nobody wants to feel like they have been intentionally mislead which was definitely the case with the way that the Raybans where presented. The entire sun glasses wall was awash with bright orange signs advertising 50% off and they were above or next to each brand. However when I sat down with the saleswomen I found out that not only were Raybans not in the offer but if I wanted lenses that had the rayban logo on (which, let’s face it is pretty important if you choose a pair) that it will cost you an extra £150-£240!!!! Making just that pair of sunglasses £300-£400! Now, had the frames been clearly labelled as being not in the sale and branded lenses shown to be extra and by how much I still would have bought them. The fact that this was clearly hidden from the costumer until the last minute came across as very dishonest and nobody wants to buy something from a business after being made to feel like that.

Trustpilot reviews Categories Log in Sign up For companies profile image of Nigel Davies Nigel Davies United Kingdom Review of Vision Express Nigel Davies Nigel Davies 1 review Star 1 Star 2 Star 3 Star 4 Star 5 3 days ago Dreadful customer service I booked an appointment for a contact lens check at the Tesco Extra Wrexham branch of Vision Express. When I arrived I was told that there would be a delay as the technician was there to repair a lamp. Fair enough. However, 15 minutes later I was annoyed to see another patient called in for their immediately as they arrived. At the same time a technician came out to reception to say that "it's all sorted" and left. After waiting for half an hour I decided that I'd waited long enough and said that I was going to cancel my appointment, only to be told that the technician was still there. What has made this even more annoying is that I have subsequently sent 2 emails of complaint to customer services but have not received a reply in spite of their 48 hour promise. Finally, the advertised phone number for their customer services isn't recognised! I would not trust my eye care to these people.

Genuine happy customer service. Very helpful in deciding what sunglasses to purchase. Felt very relaxed about spending more than previously spent on sunnies as she was such a lovely person.

Victoria centre Nottingham. The eye test was great the sales assistant for choosing glasses and sunglasses let the store down. The assistant showed me the cheapest sunglasses and said how good the blue gradient mirror glasses looked and then showed me the purple. I liked the blue had them measured etc then she said so these will be a brown lense. I asked her why she had shown me purple lenses if they were going to be brown anyway. In the in I had to tag into another customer just so I could try the sunglasses in the cabinet. I was offered single lense for the sunglasses but told I wouldn't be able to see the dashboard instruments or sat nav.. My assistant struggled to understand that I had a £30 email voucher. I was in the store almost two hours and still hadn't had the field vision test. Very dissapointed at the length of waiting time and the assistant. She did not advice on pricing for options and in the end gave a total cost for glasses and sun glasses. I am not sure what I've ordered in terms of lenses and just hope there ok. £350 and I dint know what I'm getting.

I went into a store in Lincoln, EN for an eye exam and to get glasses. The optometrist who did my exam was amazing and he is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of just the 1. My plan was to buy eye glasses in store and to buy cheap sunglasses online, but when I asked the two workers in the front for my pupil distance, the man was very very rude to me. The lady just looked down at the ground and the man said, "no. it's too expensive" and walked away. I was blown away. Really thought they were kidding at first! It's not expensive to measure pupil distance at all. Instead of spending my money with vision express, I am now spending over 130 pound at Boots instead where they treated me with respect.

Staff at Lincoln seemed incompetent and unhelpful. During the eye test the optician asked which of the two images is "rounder", I don't think this is the correct question. I think using the correct language during the questions is important, so that they get the correct information. He also asked questions then immediately prompted me with his own answer to the question instead of waiting for mine. (I was not even being slow) I think these factors invalidated the eye test. I didn't think the resulting prescription was right but they wouldn't take any steps at all to review or verify it and didn't seem to want to help, they just wanted me to take it as-is or leave. I left without getting the service I came for. I'm shocked that the service at Vision Express Lincoln doesn't meet a baseline level of acceptability and that the staff seem to be slightly arrogant when the flaws described above are clearly visible even to us with poor vision!

I went to the Oxford Street branch of Vision Express for my annual checkup and I was so looked after by the staff there. In particular by Maria and my optometrist, Abbi. Nothing was too much for them and they made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole eye test. They were so professional and attentive. Thank you all so much!

My wife fell over while in Stratford, damaging her glasses, braking the arm and the lens fell out the frame. We took it into the store there in Westfield and they fixed it for free and was good as new. Very impressed with the friendly service there.
