I’ve been running Volumio on a Raspberry Pi 2 in my daughter’s room, and it has been an incredibly reliable setup. The system runs 24/7 without any issues, and it handles everything I throw at it with ease. I connected it to a Logitech Z4 sound system, which gives surprisingly powerful and clear audio for a kids’ room. What I appreciate most is how simple and stable Volumio is. My daughter can listen to music whenever she wants, for as long as she wants, without needing help or dealing with technical problems. It just works — exactly what you want from a music system that’s always on. For anyone looking for a lightweight, dependable audio solution for a Raspberry Pi, Volumio is absolutely worth considering.

I was using happily until the usage mode transfered to paying mode. when free version does not anymore fulfil my needs I went further. unfortunally I was happy using Volumio but with payment options its not for me anymore. greediness os never a good thing.

In general pretty good, I just would like the update process to be more visible, it is a black box where you can only wait and "hope". Different sorting options across multiple drives/directories so that the music database appears as one irrespective of the origin would be good.

Complimenti e grazie davvero.

Would of being good if it did Spotify Connect. Only Tidal. Now I have to keep my bluesound node for Spotify connect. That's disappointing

Using Volumio free. I had nothing but issues with Volumio and the Raspberry Pi 4 and Hifi Berry DAC. Moved over to a Pi 5 with 8gb, HiFi DAC Pro Hat with ES9038Q2M Chip, Pineboard with 512gb NVME and streaming MP3, FLAC and DSD music from a 8TB Seagate personal cloud. Everything works as it should and the sound is absolutely amazing through my vintage Kenwood system and quad Bose speakers. Nice work you guys do. Thanks

Used it for 5+ years as an AirPlay receiver. Still more than happy! Thanks you!

Hi, Used for half a year. Unfortunately, a Lineo5 trafo was humming quite noticeably, which is annoying in a very quiet room. HDMI connection to Denafreeps Pontus 15th over 0,5m cable was losing sync from time to time. USB worked fine. Did not really enjoy the ... uncertainty what is going on when the Volumio was booting. Finally decided to SIDE-GRADE to Eversolo T8. Mainly for an optical SFP port, user friendliness, fantastic app and clear display + room correction. A new owner is enjoying my Volumio now :-).Andy

First of all, I have used your OS software for several years and have truly enjoyed the sound quality on offer. I have no need for the extra paid features so this has worked perfectly for me. I did purchase your entry streamer some time ago and in this case I was not happy with the ergonomics or performance. I am curious on your new DAC, however, if I don't like the unit returns will be difficult and the reason to refrain. Cheers to the business and improving sound quality!

Ein hervorragendes Produkt, sowohl was Hardware als auch Software betrifft. Sehr gute Sound Qualität und einfach zu bedienendes User-interface.

UPnP section is not working like other UPnP programs. Total mess with albums covers. When using JPLAY or other programs it works just fine.

I bought the Rivo and Lineo5 recently to feed my Qutest DAC through USB. The detail and clarity is outstanding. With all files, the improvement over my previous player/preamp/DAC have been marked. Out of curiosity, I downloaded a 352.8kHz 32bit album from Qobuz, and this brings out even more body and soundstage. The Volumio app is very good but not as easy to use as Jplay, with Qobuz Connect appearing to have marginally better SQ. Through experimentation I sit the Rivo on an isolated support shelf, on ball-bearing feet, which gives an lovely smooth sound, although I also intend to try a copper interconnect to my preamplifier instead of the SPC one I use at present. I haven’t tried the Rivo without the Lineo5, and don’t intend to, but I would heartily recommend the Volumio Rivo to anyone, particularly at the price. A fabulous network player and a very capable app!

Outdated UI, spotify connect not stable and no lossles audio with spotify. Moved over to wimm pro . Should have done that earlier.

I've been using Volumio since 2020, initially on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a HiFiBerry DAC + Pro, then with the Primo HiFi Edition, and since the end of 2023 with the Volumio RIVO, a KECES P6 power supply, and a Matrix Audio Element X DAC. I've stuck with Volumio because I like the user interface and it has continued to evolve. The sound has also improved steadily. I'm a bit old school and primarily use an SSD with 24-bit FLAC files. When I use streams (Bandcamp, Qobuz, HighresAudio) for previewing, it has worked flawlessly so far. My only criticism is that when using a tablet, it's difficult to move individual tracks in the tracklist, and the zoom function often gets used instead.

Still no Spotify Connect Lossless for MiniDSP Studio lineup.
