Volumio and Raspberry Pi 4 has rejuvenated my interest in music. Appreciate the wide range of Internet radio that appeals to multiple genres. The sound quality through my DAC is very good.

Hey Volumio, I really enjoy using your system, and the implemented multiroom with snapcast was a game changer. It was also the reason why I made the update to 3.x which has now a Paywall for using plugins. The lack of the classic plugins (at least the one which where previously supported like GPIO Buttons and Podcast) is the reason I just put 4 out of 5 stars. But I am sure it will be improved in the future. Keep up the good works guys, great system!

Volumio is a really great player on a Raspberry Pi 3B. I use it with a USB DAC and a Marantz amplifier. I mainly use Spotify to stream music. I highly recommend Volumio !

Hello Volumio Team, I am very satisfied with your system and have used it on several Raspberry Pi. The only thing that is missing for my happiness is a simple power management, with which I can power up and shut down the Pi by pressing a button.

It's a great solution tu acces mi mp3 music collection easy without having to turn on my desktop, touchscreen, radio and podcast plug ins (v. 2) are great too.

It basically works like it should. BUT the mobile app is SO non-intuitive to use. The back-button is not used in the same way as 10.000.000+ other apps. Third party app like 'VolumioControl' works way, way better. And the feature-set for the free version is just too lacking and the benefits in the paid version is not worth it for me, since I have no need for music from outside my network.

It is a really great os. But time to time its stocks and needs few restart to work normal again. (RPI 4 4GB)

Every other software refused to work with my new raspberry PI zero 2w and hi-fi Berry miniamp, and volumio Works great. I built my own radio and air player. IT is great.

Very good overall. I haven't had to reboot my device once since I switched from HiFiBerry to Volumio for an OS on my Rasberry Pi with HiFiBerry DAC hat. It works perfectly with my CD collection that I have downloaded as FLAC files. But its interface with Spotify is lacking. It is great for listening to existing playlist on Spotify but I can't manage list there from it. Once they add that I'd say it goes from 4 star to 5 star.

great interface, nice integration with the cell phone app, the visuals are spot on. unfortunately high priced plan with the pay for tier (I can get pandora, with content for 2 dollars more a month), duplicates free software, need to have a server to stream the music besides the app. does not "enhance" the audio by upconverting (the data is gone once it's gone). smoke and mirrors.

System configuration Raspberry Pi Zero W (include Volumio) USB DAC Small old speaker I use it to listen to overseas internet radio. I am fully satisfied.

I use Volumio on a Raspberry Pi3B+ with a DAC on top of it. It provides very good sound quality and is very fast into scanning my files library (lots of gigabytes of FLAC files). I'm using my phone to control it and this works flawlessly. Sometimes, it loses the connection, but I suspect this is linked to the phone and its OS rather than to Volumio. Only thing that required some learning is the powering down, as for all Pi's it needs to be properly shutdown to prevent SD corruption. For me, no issue... The family had to be trained though :) If I may mention one area for improvement: the startup sound is very low (much lower than the music it plays when fully started), and there is no shutdown sound. As I use it without screen, it would be good to be able to tweak the startup settings and add a shutdown sound (use my own files by placing them in a special folder, with specified names and allow for a volume level). This way, I know when it started and when I can power it off. I've seen a script allowing for that, but this is not so user-friendly.
