“Used it with an early version of Raspberry Pi. Did not work perfectly. Now I use it with Raspberrt Pi 4 and a DAC and that's a perfect combination! Digitalized all my LP's and CD's and so I can make room in my living room :-) Had some trouble with music on my NAS but recently I solved connection.”

“The sound quality on the Rivo Plus is exceptional, far superior to even the latest Eversolo T8 transport. The software, however, well, that's another story. The app is completely unstable; it is constantly crashing, and often just won't connect to my iPhone. I no longer use the app; I just connect directly on Google Chrome using my iPad. Even then, it has its moments. Please, please, fix your software; that should be the easy part.”

“I've been using Volumio since 2021, first with a Raspberry and for 1 year with the Rivo Plus. I have a very good hi-fi system, so I can make statements about the sound quality of the Rivo Plus: it is really very good, especially with the extra power supply. But I'm not so satisfied with the Volumio software. For example, Quobuz Connect often does not work. I then have to shut down and restart the Rivo. That's annoying! But with my second system, where I use a WIIM Ultra, there are no problems with Quobuz Connect. The WIIM software is clearly more stable and better. Volumio is releasing more and more new devices, maybe they should invest more time in improving their software”

“Love the player, exellent sound quality and simple to use app, not so fund of the new app design, especialy the start screen where you can nolonger see the cover art per player. Other downsides are: search function starts searching while typing the first letter, if you correct your search promt the player frequently crashes, it would be nice to type your search word and then pres enter of start to start the acctual search. Spotify often does'nt work, it does display the artists and albums but after selecting the track nothing happens, disabling and enabling the app solves the problem. I would love to have stats for nerds, providing information about the played track like bitrate, sampling freq, used codecs, number of channels etc.”

“Sent it back for refund. Just didn't work. Couldn't set it up and the app collapsed every hour or so. Totally unstable platform. Considering it was designed by software engineers, you made a poor job of your app.”

“Tried several OS music systems to run on my Raspberry PI (with HiFiBerry AMP) and Volumio is the system I keep using. Simple interface, but all the features I need. Also added remote control using an old Apple Remote.”

“I am using the free Volumio software on rPi3B+ and rPi4B platforms and it meets my =needs of streaming web-radio, Pandora and YouTube channels very well. I was also part of the Volumio 4 beta team and appreciate all the work done by the volunteers in bringing the updated and much improved version of the software to full release. Keep up the good work!!”

“It does work very well on the PI. When I start up there is some delay before it connects to the phone. The interface is a little awkward, but you soon get used to it. I started using internet radio and there was a problem try to get some stations like in Jorden. When I looked on the internet to see how to solve the problem it was very confusing. This problem does show up elsewhere and is annoying. Normal stations are fine. But they work on my radio as well.!!!”

“Perfetto per hi fi. Credo che se l'abbonamento costasse meno lo farei. Se per esempio al vostro abbonamento annuale aggiungo quello di tidal I costi diventano sproporzionati. Ancora grazie. Magari sarebbe bello avere la possibilità di comprare un abbonamento premium una tantum...”

“Nice product if it meets your needs. I used to have the premium subscription but I cancelled it as I was not using most of its features. The biggest issue for my was the inability to easily play Youtube music.”
