“It didn't fit my requirements. I went with Gentoo player. If I recall it was the lack of player history and the limited UI. Not enough options for customization. Volumio is better suited for someone who just wants it to work.”

“J'utilisais Volumio avec un RPI 3 et un dac audiophonics es9038q2m. Ca fonctionnait bien mais je suis passé sur MoOde audio car la prise en charge du bluetooth est gratuite. Le dsp ainsi que la gestion des genres et la lecture aléatoire sont mieux intégrés dans MoOde.”

“I use volumio with RPI,two in my home, and one dedicated PC Barebone. All these configuration with external DAC (mainly CAMBRIDGE). works fine with Qobuz , but the Spotify plugin is very slow . I prefer the older interface (classic)... Price is quite high for the annual subscription , but i don't find, for now, an alternate solution.”

“I have an extensive library of music, much of it at CD quality. Volumio was great when I wanted to listen to my music at home, but when I wanted to listen to music on my phone out in the world, I needed to pay - to listen to my own music. I dumped Volumio and used MPD and Snapcast to create a whole-home music system which I also use as an alarm clock, and can listen to my music wherever I go for free.”

“I use it for both offline and online music with RPI4, Allo Kali, and Allo Piano. For offline music, it's excellent; online music with Spotify and its plugin is problematic; with Tidal, you have to pay to use the plugin. I've switched to moOde; when and if there are solutions, I'll quickly switch back, and the 5-star rating is guaranteed.”

“Unsing Volumio on Rasp-pi 2-3-4, it performs perfectly. I checked the external DAC (Topping) outputs with signal analizer, it is true bit-perfect in all senses. Almost plug 'n play, it has a lot of useful features, fully configurabe @ UI, networking, data sources and, mainly, reproduction.”
