“There are much better "FREE" music-player solutions available. volumio seems to force their user to only get a convenient and nice working version of volumio if they pay for. So i don't use volumio anymore.”

“I'm very impressed with the sound quality from my Motivo. It's a very impressive device. My only complaint is that it is very often dropping out for a few seconds when using Qobuz Connect. Really hope that Volumio can sort out this problem.”

“Im enjoying using this excellent program. The ability to access payback and control from multiple devices is highly convenient. The only issue is that i cannot justify ongoing subscription while there are so many highly reviewed hardware options for under 800$ It was nice to try it for a year or so but i would now like to invest in a one off payment for this convenience. As i only need a digital out streamer , unfortunately Volumio does not offer anything in my price range. With the absence of a lifetime subscription option i will highly likely cancel my subscription in May.”

Und das die Basisversion dazu noch kostenlos ist und gut gepflegt wird, ist schon super! Würde für die Vollversion gerne auch einmalig einen anständigen Preis bezahlen, von Abo-Modellen jedoch nehme ich Abstand.”

“I'm just "forced" to use Volumio as part of my miniDSP device. The lack of native Spotify support should be noted. The available 3rd party plugin works but does not support lossless playback. Tidal plays like a charm. Why not Spotify too? I also did not manage to make it see and import all my NAS music (mp3 and flac) and believe me, I have tried everything. The gui is not the easiest as well. Try to create a list of favorite web radio stations and re-arrange them and you'll see what I mean. I guess it has lots of functionalities that I don't really need or use, but for the above, it does not serve the purpose for me. I wish miniDSP switched to a different software. Many kudos for the open source choice :) ... and apologies for the bad review. You cannot keep everyone happy, but I am sure it can act as an incentive to improve.”

“For my current needs, Volumio works perfectly. I just wanted to assemble a basic streamer with a Raspberry Pi, a touch screen and a DAC. Nothing overly fancy. for this use, the software is perfect. It is pretty much plug and play with minimal configuration. I can control it from any of my tablets, phones, and computers - which is perfect for my needs. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to customize it, other than a couple of simple plugins. The community support has been great.”

“Hello, volumio looks good as such. Unfortunately I was forced to switch to the stateless format and the cheaper alternative wiim ultra where everything runs as it should and no collisions occur.”
