“Very pleased with these bumper plates. Very little bounce compared to other bumper plates I have and very little noise when dropped. I would recommend these to any one who is looking for quality bumper plates!”

“Although they had a mistake showing availability of a product that was sold out at the time they followed through with great communication. I initially thought I would not get the same deal as the shipping date was nearly a month later but they kept in contact and honored the original deal. This is nothing extravagant or out of the ordinary but these days it's rare to get straight answers from a customer support rep. Or maybe I've just been dealing with my cable provider over the last couple of weeks. I would absolutely order a product from Vulcan again.”

“I've had my bar for almost a year now and within the first week of using it, the entire finish on both sleeves flaked off. There also seems to be some discoloration on the unknurled part of the shaft. It still spins nice though and I haven't oiled it. You get what you pay for.”

The black zinc coating is not very good for barbells, we could never guarantee its longevity and moved away from it for that reason.

“This squat stand is just as good, I believe, as the Rogue equivalent which I considered prior to buying this one. The only reason I eventually chose the Vulcan stand is because of the price, and i'm glad I chose it. It's sturdy, easy to move and easy to put together. It shipped SUPER faster as I was shocked when the FedEx man delivered it literally 48 hours after my order was placed. The only thing that I would have liked, though, would have been a better instruction display, or at least a larger image. Other than that it is well worth the money.”

“Finally received my bar and colored bumper plate set. The bumpers look great. They are not oily like some, they do leave the room with a rubber smell though. The bar also seems nice. The spin on the sleeves is amazing. Much better than my old bar. Only complaint is that the sleeves have scratches that were not caused by the shipping. Everything was well packaged for shipping. I'm excited to put them to use.”

“Finally got my bar and bumper plate combo. It survived shipping and everything looks pretty good. The bar sleeves have some giant scrapes that were not from shipping, but other than that everything came as expected.”

Joey, What type of scrapes on the sleeve are you referring to? We inspect ever bar before shipping. Please send a photo.

“I have used several brands of bumper plates at various gyms and among basic training bumpers, these are among the best I've used. I ordered them right before the holidays and they were still processed, shipped, and arrived within a week. I am pretty sure that if I ever need to buy more plates for my garage gym I am likely to buy from Vulcan.”

“I want to start by saying this is a very nice bar. I was looking for a very specific bar when I bought mine and I thought this filled the billet. All black, 15KG, with a decent knurling. This bar seemed to check all the boxes. However the claim to a "medium" knurling just didn't prove to be true... The knurling is next to none. I'm a little bit upset by this because I was willing to spend the extra dollar for that and in the end I could have bought an identical bar for $100 less. It really is a great bar but if you're looking for something with a more aggressive knurling this is not the one.”

“I've had the bumpers for almost a couple months, these came will a strong smell but that was expected as its rubber. They seem really well made and feel like the right weight, I haven't actually weighed them or anything, the best part was the free shipping. No hassles and no reason to complain. There is a small thing make sure you take off the stickers they put in the hole in the middle or it will start to leave marks on your barbell. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with the product and would definitely buy from Vulcan again especially if they keep with the competitive prices they are currently at!”

“After doing lots of research, I settled on the Vulcan standard bearing bar. It has fantastic knurling, spin and whip. It performs just as good as any of the iwf European bars, for a fraction of the cost. I recommend this bar to anyone looking for a good Olympic bar at a reasonable price.”

“I just wanted a colored set of bumpers, and these were the best prices from an American company I could find. Can't imagine anything else being better. I would definitely order them again. They look good, and the quality is top notch. I only got the 90kg set, but plan on getting a pair of 25kg plates to have the whole set. If you're looking for plates, and your thinking about these, stop thinking and just get them. And no, I don't work for Vulcan. I'm just a normal guy who lifts in my garage.”

“After waiting a couple of months after purchasing the 230 pound set to arrive, was a bit long for free shipping and my account was never updated. When it arrived I was very pleased with everything. My one issue is that my 10LB bumper plate doesn’t seem to fit properly on my barbell. It gets about a quarter of the way down and it stops. Thinking it might be a problem across the board I tried all the bumper plates, which all fit fine. I don’t understand how one plate wouldn’t fit properly. All the holes are the same size and all the other plates fit fine, so I know it isn’t the barbell. I am happy with the product, especially the price, until I need to add a ten pound plate, such a headache. Just a tip, WD40 doesn’t help. I don’t know if they test for fitting before the ship, but maybe the company might want to take this into consideration.”
