I purchased the chrome spring collars to use on the Shorty Axle Bar and they have a snug fit. I don't do a lot of overhead drops, just occasionally for fun, so the spring clamps is all I needed. I give 4 stars because of the price being a couple $ more than others I have seen. Happy with my purchase. Thanks Vulcan for quality products!

As always, Vulcan did an excellent job with shipping, and the package arrived earlier than expected. The jump ropes are light, easy to turn, and great additions to warm-ups and cardio routines.

First I was all excited about receiving my wall ball, but once I opened my package, it looks as thou my wall ball was soaked in water and ink was spread....

Hi Rebekah, You purchased a Wall Ball on Clearance due to discoloration. It is stated in the first line of the product description in bold font. "These Medicine Balls are discolored. They are new and unused. The Durability of the Med ball is not impacted by the aesthetic defects". It will not have any impact on use or durability Our new med balls are solid black. Let us know if we can assist further.

I am very pleased with the Shorty Axle Bar, and it has a good powder coating to absorb chock (not provided). I really like the 5 ft length and the 8 inches of loadable weight is more than enough for me. I purchased a pair of 25 lb Vulcan bounce plates to start with, but will need a couple more plates pretty soon. I performed a couple of overhead drops in my garage and was pleased with the low noise and low bounce. The std spring clips held just fine, although some off the other locks available might dress up the look of the bar better. The only thing I would have liked to have, would have been a couple mark locators for consistent grip and balance. I measured and wrapped two pieces of thin Velcro straps to make it easier to reference my grip position, but tape or a rubber bands would work also. I Vulcan decal sticker option would have been cool for the bar and maybe a decal would help with locating hand position better. One last thing that I like is the 2 in bar is so much more comfortable when doing squats when the bar sets across your shoulders(front) and neck(rear) the larger diameter doesn't dig in like std bars can. I hope this post encourages others to purchase a Vulcan Shorty Bar set as I did and you will be satisfied with the quality. Veterans also get a 5% discount and shipping is included.

If you have tight hip flexors like me, this will eliminate your back pain during situps.

I couldn't be happier with this bar. I decided on this over Rogue or American Barbell bars and don't regret it a bit, even after recently lifting on all 3. The finish distinguishes it from many other bars, and I don't mind that its not shiny like many others. The collars and the sleeves more than make up for it. The performance is exactly what Vulcan says it is. You will not want to lift on any other bar (besides, perhaps a $1000+ professional bar) after lifting on this. It is grippy beyond belief without tearing up your hands, and the bar whips at 200lbs, even more so at 250+. If you can only buy one bar, this is the one! Vulcan knows their stuff, and was very helpful when I callled.

They barely bounce at all when dropped from overhead. They are, in my opinion, a much safer alternative to Hi-temps or similar bumpers.

Beautiful collars. Priced right, and it's good to know how much they weigh (1kg each). Vulcan really knows olympic lifting.

Save your bar, use these plates and not iron change. Worth every penny, you don't even have to pull your collars every set to add these. They stay on even after repeated drops.

I've had Pendlay change plates for a few years now and I hated them. Inaccurate, rubber peeling off, etc. I decided to get some V-Locks because they were 100% rubber (considered the Rogue ones but they're rubber encased metal just like Pendlay). First off, the 5kg and 2.5kg plates are much bigger than standard. The rest of them aren't that much bigger. Secondly, my plates were all accurate to within 7 grams and they look amazing. Also the current artwork is different than what the picture suggests: the stated weight and "vulcan usa" is in black or white ink on each plate. I'd suggest Vulcan update their pics to reflect the change because looks were kind of a factor in my purchase so I was pleasantly surprised that the lettering was painted. 10/10 would buy again.

Holds tight to the bar and the plates can be quickly add and removed. Very good quality item.

Your plates are without doubt the most well constructed bumpers I have seen or used. Your service is great as well. One nit: The labels you put inside the plate sleeve are a pain to get off. They leave a residue you have to clean off or it will get on your barbell. Thanks

Before I purchased this swiss bar, I researched every swiss bar I could find, and I noticed 2 things: 1 - The empty weight of the Vulcan Bar is 60lbs and the competitors are 30lbs - 39lbs. 2 - The Vulcan Swiss Bar is made from 2"x2" square tube rather than the 1.5"x1.5"of the competitors'. I am extremely happy with this bar and the free, fast shipping. The larger diameter of the outermost pair of handles also provides some different muscle stimulus. I have been using this bar 2-3 days a week for about a month now.

They are nice plates; fit well on the bar. But why are they as expensive as they are? I understand that tolerances are likely higher but $/lb seems very high.

I can count how many reviews I have written on a single hand, but I love the 385 lb bumper plate set. I went with the standard Vulcan bar which is beautifully made and fully functional for my workouts. If I lived in the area, I would have driven over and picked it up personally (I was really excited to receive it). Had an issue with shipping of the collars but customer service was great to work with and prompt to address. A great purchase and great company to work with.
