Unfortunately Waitrose on-line do not impress me as much as other on-line supermarkets. They consistently over charge for plastic bags charging 40 pence and sending some items in 4 bags and the bottles loose so they are difficult to carry. Todays order was difficult for me to move the bottles as I only got 4 bags for my 40 pence. I will go back to using Ocado who have much more offers and they actually buy back the bags at 5p each to re-use or recycle. Currently I can get Waitrose products via Ocado and often pay less for them. No contest I will go back to Ocado every time.

I purchased a Chicken and Coconut Curry Noodles and have just tried to eat it. It was like trying to eat soup with a fork. The flavour was great but the ratio of noodles to sauce was sadly out! Disappointing

I love sushi, recently I was recommended sushi from Waitrose as a cheaper alternative but I found the rice very vinegary and overpowering I purchased from two different Waitrose and the result was the same, I gave some of it to the friend who recommended and they told me it tasted differently to before, unfortunately I am disappointed.

Your granary loaves used to be really soft and chewy texture - what's gone wrong? They are now impossible to cut without the outside crust falling to bits. Look on the shelf - they are inevitably showing signs of the crust separating from the rest of the loaf before they've even been handled. Also now dry and like cardboard when toasted - shame - will not be buying again.

A warning to anyone considering sending flowers with Waitrose - don’t! They use Yodel as their courier, and the device is appalling. A bouquet ordered for my sister’s sixtieth birthday arrived a day late and in poor condition. I wish I had read reviews first, I just went straight to Waitrose as I wrongly assumed I would get a quality service.

Can I just start by saying I love Waitrose. I love everything about it. The staff, layout, selection of goods and most of all the taste of the food. Now today I wanted a quick ready meal so bought salmon fish cakes which I served with broccoli and spinach. They are supposed to have salmon rocket and watercress. Honestly I can taste none of it. If I had to guess I would say the filling is heated to such a high level it destroys all taste leaving an almost gelatinous lump rolled in breadcrumbs. The final nail is it's dry. This is not a fish cake. Please Waitrose change your supplier and find someone who knows what a fish cake is.

I bought two Waitrose 1 chilled tarts on Sat. 29.12.18. The Sicilian Lemon for 30.12.18 and the Orange & Dark Chocolate for 1.1.19 and both eaten within their ‘Use by’ dates. Although good in taste the pastry bases were soggy on both tarts and I could not remove the foils before serving even though I snipped around the foil sides.

Waitrose 1 dark chocolate truffles: for £6 you get a box which you think is full of chocolates. In reality there are 10 chocolate which fill less than a quarter of the box. Took a photo but I don't know how to load it. So misleading and disappointing. And the chocolates aren't even that special either!

Waitrose appears determined to drive away customers. First the free coffee went (unless you remember to take a mug with you), then the 20% off picks. Now, it can't even keen staple items in stock. Newark, 1/11/18, middle of day, had to finish my shop elsewhere as so many items were out-of-stock. Not unusual or special, just staples such as McCains crinkle chips, Essentials pates, nectarines, syrup bottles and most bars of soap. Might as well miss out Waitrose and start off elsewhere to get entire shop in one place.

Your staff are now beyond . Could you please recruit some who are capable of some basic knowledge. I was asked in Witney store today how many 5p bags I wanted and I said half s dozen. That seems to be a foreign language as the boy had no clue about that or anything else for that matter, please keep these clueless people away from front line please and in the store room. Deeply unimpressed. You’re becoming ASDA

Week after week items that I have ordered are substituted, they are very standard items and nothing unusual. I shop online because I hate supermarket shopping and still end up having to do this because of poor stock management in the store. This week is the worst week yet as 3 items all of which I required for the weekend were substituted with things I couldn't use. I live in Devizes which doesn't have a single decent supermarket which is why I shop online at Waitrose but they have let me down for the last time and I am off to Lidl.

They didn't. No free cups because of "enviroment help".. yet they wrap all in plastic and use plastic bags "logic"...

It's very poor that Waitrose won't give out cups of coffee unless you bring your own cup. They say it's to do with reducing waste but this just seems as though they are becoming stingy over the cost of a cup of coffee

Items badly packed, short expiry dates, and food squashed. Used to have great service from Waitrose in Newport, Shropshire. Now changed to delivery from Chester store and service is very disappointing. This is the third time I've complained & nothing changes. Examples Drain cleaner and banana loaf cake in same bag, 3 pints of milk with next day's date on & all carriers crammed into two crates by the driver to be carried to the door.

I stopped using the Waitrose home delivery service about a year ago as each delivery contained very short dated items despite my complaints. I was told to make a note when requesting delivery to not be given short dated items, which i did and that was ignored. I'am so busy this week i thought i would try again-- i'm so disappointed. 9 short dated items. 7 substituted items. 2 were suitable the others not. Like others have noted i now have to somehow find the time after all to replace these items. I thought this was a problem with my local branch but now reading through the reviews I've come to believe it is indeed a deliberate policy to get rid of short dated produce as no customer in store will pick up a Chicken for the Sunday Roast on a Thursday which has a next day use by date -- as happened to me today-- notwithstanding my request not to send me short dated items. I can't be bothered to complain direct to Waitrose-- I did that loads of times in the past. I might decide to use Waitrose again but for store cupboard items only.

Love their food and in-store customer service, but deliveries are just plain bad. Delivery came incomplete, with dubious replacements (ordered 2x2lts bottle of juice, replaced with 2X1lt instead of replacing with same quantity 4x1lt). Very dry email, not apologising for the forgotten items or acknowledging the suggestion for better replacements. All in all, awesome brand, but I'll start using Ocado.

Their quick till service is rubbish. Selling and redeeming lottery tickets, cigarettes hidden in hard to access cupboards and minimum staff means that the wait to by small quantities of items is often ridiculous.

Christmas Online order. Lots of substituted items and short dated food. So disappointed its made Christmas shopping considerably harder not easier as I now unexpectedly will have to go shopping so that we have food that is in date to take us over Christmas. Ok you can send the substituted items back but that dosent really help. Items such as canned drinks should of been available thought that was the idea of a reserved shop? Delivery driver was really good.

I find that many of the stores have too much stuff crammed into them, lots of high shelving, no space to walk around, Whetstone and Northwood are horrible to shop in because of this. Northwood in particular is some kind of Hell, you need to get a lift to get into the store and wait ages, the fruit & veg section is badly arranged, cramped and almost empty. There are crisps on the back wall, the display either side of a door so you can't find what you want, and have to dodge around staff barging their way around you, all crisps are randomly dumped on the shelves, then more crisps on a shelf near the tills. This is a sample of how the store is set out, it looks as if the stock has been dumped in any space that is empty at the time. There is hardy any choice of washing powder and if you actually manage to find what you are looking for it is purely by luck. I gave up trying to find things in the end, it is such a mess, so came out with only half my shop. Whetstone is full of high shelving and like a maze, with the queues at the tills snaking into the aisles making shopping at that end impossible. Mill Hill gives a more pleasant experience, however the stock levels need attention, I hope it never changes the layout to the high shelves because that will be the end for me. Too many choices of bread but nothing good, almost all thick sliced which is still there at the end of the day, not everyone wants mass produced doorsteps of polystyrene, why not stock bread that is not made with palm oil and soya flour, the Waitrose own bread never used to have this, why now? Some people want decent food not nasty, unethical ingredients.
