I usually do the majority of my shopping in Waitrose both in store and online. In the middle of last year there was a big launch of weekly personalised vouchers that was very poorly thought through. However some were of a significant value so worth the hassle. For the last 3 months all I now get is 50p vouchers so no longer worth the drive. Much easier to visit Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Iceland that are a 2 minute walk.

They were great throughout the Pandemic with deliveries and instore now remains a pleasant if expensive experience. I shop there less now and have less deliveries because they have increased their prices way in excess of other stores seemingly taking advantage of the current situation more than their competitors. Therefore I now shop around much more and Waitrose is rarely a feasible option for a pensioner such as myself.

Sandwich quality at services was low and tasteless. We had Coronation chicken... worst I have tasted. Hubby had Cheddar ploughman's which was tasteless. Even the fruit (2 for £5) was tasteless apart from the grapes. Definately not stopping there for a break again will stick to M&S

Staff very nice and my local branch has a car park. Otherwise very expensive especially for fruit which is not fresh. Apples soft and pappy. Oranges from which the juice appears to have been drained out. Too many ‘essential’ items. I’d like sometimes to have better quality. Not surprising the nearby M&S now doing very well. No more expensive but much better quality. Shame…

This is the worst supermarket for sending short dates in your delivery. They need to catch up with other supermarkets who offer decent dates… very disappointed customer.

I am reviewing online services. I have read many reviews about very short date lives on deliveries but this continues. My most recent experience was ordering two bottles of freshly squeezed orange juice. They arrived with date life of one day later. I defy anyone to drink two large bottles of this fresh product in one day. When I gave them back to the driver he told me this often happened, to keep them but I would be refunded, as if he took them back they would be thrown away!!! They want to know what makes customers happy but seem totally disinterested with what makes them unhappy,

I’ve been a regular Waitrose customer for many years. I only started having home deliveries during lockdown. It was great, always on time, cheerful drivers and only rarely we’re items substituted or unavailable. However, this new policy of not providing bags is rather ‘user-unfriendly’, standing on the doorstep having to transfer goods from crates to my own bags. Thankfully I haven’t had to do this in the rain yet! Also, I realize all stores are having supply problems, but so many items are being substituted and many are unavailable. For this downgrade in service we’re now expected to pay £3 for the pleasure! I don’t think so, I’m not Mrs Gullible. It’s a shame but I’m back to shopping in store from now on.

Since the new refurbishment in the summer of 2019, it is nothing as good shopping as before. They reduced the cheese choice, only to introduce mor alcoholic drinks , wines etc. The oven hasn’t been working properly, the croissants get flat and glutty by the time you bring them home.

Waitrose Farnham. Waitrose product and service are always excellent. My issue is the Duchy organic brand. Often over the last 6 months fersh veg is unavailable, specifically, Spinach, Broccoli Spears, Avocados, Raspberries. I was told its a national shortage but it appears to be one that is not suffered by Sainsburys, in my opinion it is caused by having a single supplier,, which you do for far too many products. In my view you also abuse your position by undercutting other brands where theyu are available, Yeo valley dairy as an example wher Duchy milk, yoghourt is sold cheaper, I understand business but isnt it the resposibility of all of us to encourage more organic producers. My 3 star review is really 5 stars marred by the 1 star for supplying and encouraging organic foods, as sustainability becomes more and more of an issue Waitrose will, in my opinion, suffer. David H.

Totally appalled by the new make up on Waitrose Belgravia They left very little space for milk, fruit, and half of the store is now packed with wine, and other alcohol. Also for a small convenient local shop, Sushi Bar tneyinstalled is a really not great idea. The moment you enter the store, you get hit by dreadful smells of raw fish , just next to tne bread counter.

Your mini flapjack bights are really delicious and i am really fussy. I love them but to make it even better if you had them with less plastic to save the environment even if you had them on a tray or tin fool like they are baked. This would save our wourld and keep the flapjacks as delicious as they are.

Bedford waitrose café... Could not make me happy, because they could not supply a toasted hot cross bun with our tea and coffees this morning. Why? They sold out. When asked could they not get some from the shop floor, the reply was we are not allowed even though they are the same hot cross bins. Shabby waitrose and revenue lost!

I bought Waitrose essential turkey this Christmas, it weighed 6.5 kilos and cost £40. The quality was excellent, I did not tell guests it was the essential range and everyone thought is tasted good. I have always liked the essential chickens and thought I would try this, as I have been fed up with paying £75 plus for free range, or bronze turkeys from my usual local butcher. Could not fault this turkey and will definitely buy this again next year. Well don Waitrose.

Basically I'm a Waitrose fan. Some of your convenience meals - Chilli Con Carne, curries etc are as good, sometimes better than M&S. But... 2 recent gripes: your Waitrose fresh soups are generally disappointing, you can't compete with Covent Garden soups (their mushroom soup is fantastic). Today I bought 'Chicken and Spelt broth soup, lashed out £3! It was awful, there was a predominant taste of rosemary (and possibly garlic puree) not chicken or vegetables. It was thick and stodgy, hardly any delicious liquidy broth or bits of solid chicken: the bottom line was simply profit. Why is it so difficult to get decent chicken and veg fresh soup. There's no secret to the recipe. Every year after Xmas, we'd have her turkey, or chicken, or both, soups. here's what she did. Take all remaining chicken/turkey from the carcass (buy an extra leg or breast if not enough) - set aside. Boil carcas for a few hours. Skim off fat which will have risen to top. Put in large saucepan, with chopped carrot, chopped onions, and chopped celery, and not too much pearl barley - that will give some body to soup but don't overdo it: you want plenty of delicious, liquidy broth as well as meat & vegetables.. Simmer for 90-120 mins, after 45 mins add turkey/chicken. Serve with crusty roll - heaven on earth! Can this not be mass-produced and 'tubbed'? Then there's desserts. Waitrose are crazy: they make own brand, wonderful desserts like Tarte Framboise and then promote Itsu dumplings. These are awful, uneatable. Where are your taste sample team? I've offered my services for free and you've spurned them - I'd reject the Duchy soup and the foul Itsu dumplings - and get your product development team working on my Mum's chicken soup. Sorry, but see Wesker's play 'Chicken soup with Barley' - forget the spelt. Avoid tears over spelt broth! Dudley Jones

Waitrose in Chesham - great staff and the usual Waitrose customer service. However the shelves are always poorly stocked and the store generally just looks a bit tired and messy.

I have shopped at Waitrose for many years and had "Home delivery" since it started, however since moving to Malvern 4 years I have become more and more disillusioned.

The only reason I like Waitrose is that they stock a lot of quality branded goods which are missing in the other main stores. A lot of these brands are British - home made or home grown - and really are very good. However, they are very pricey but usually worth the burn mark in your wallet as they are so enjoyable to eat. As for Waitrose own food ie: their fruit and veg, meat and bread, these are appalling quality! Meat, veg and fruit go off in a day and their french bread has a heavy dough which is almost raw. Sometimes I pop it in the oven but the dough never seems to cook right through no matter how high the temp or how long it cooks!
