Awful company, they sent us to a car mechanic that they approved of. 45 minute drive from our house and we are only in Dorset. The car mechanic took a long time to contact warranty wise and then nothing… we have contacted warranty wise several times only for them to tell us a different story each time. We haven’t received the information, we have received the information that we asked for but we need more, it’s been not approved, we can’t find it. We are not very happy at all and would never recommend or continue with them and would highly recommend everyone to stay clear.

Well I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing my car from dealer on auto trader (Prime Cars - based in Ilford). I was sold the car with warranty included, with guess who? Warrantywise. This company clearly has a reputation of dodging bullets and they’ve just dodged another one… Avoid Avoid Avoid! My car, a few months after purchase, developed an issue where there was sudden loss of power and lots of fumes coming out of rear… It was non-drivable and so I had RAC take it to Mercedes dealership who diagnosed a non-genuine turbo was fitted and would need to be replaced. Total cost = £3,338.15p I phoned up today asking for an update and was told they need my service history record (it was serviced by Mercedes on 3 occasions - last one being in 2017). Moments later as I was gathering docs to send, I received and email justifying their refusal to payout! I phoned up and queried as they had not received full service history, Mercedes must have sent what was on their file but apparently a decision was not made based on view service history! I asked why was it requested and was told it’s standard procedure. Logic would say this was a waste of time, why even ask for it?! See below their reason for refusal: “I regret to inform you that on this occasion your repair has been declined. Your repairer wishes to replace the following part(s) on your vehicle: 1) Turbo They have advised your vehicles turbo turbine shaft is noisy and loose. This is considered a wear issue and not a sudden mechanical breakdown as defined. Unfortunately parts which have suffered a sudden and unexpected failure due to wear and tear, cannot be considered for assessment on vehicles that have been on cover less than 30 days and 1,000 miles from your Plan Start Date and for vehicles over 10 years old or 100,000 miles (whichever greater). Whether a Part has suffered a Failure due to wear & tear is determined by us comparing the extent of wear on the failed Part with other similar, connected or associated Parts, which we would expect to be dissimilar. Please refer to your plan booklet for full terms and conditions.” I hope this review helps!

I bought a Car in April 2022 through a Dealer as I wanted to make sure that I have peace of Mind and was given a warranty cover (repairs) in case I need it later. My average mileage in 2000 miles approx. a year, and the Car had done less than 200 miles when a problem with a Clutch happened. I am a Pensioner on a limited budget and the company rejected my plea for honouring the promise for repairs without any reason. The company is a sham and the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on, the Mechanic pointed out to another Car which was on a Ramp that it got rejected as well.

I was given the bronze warranty via a dealer. CV joint was found faulty. This inspection was done by a local BMW dealer. WW want to inspect it so the cost of stripping for inspection is £170 which I would have to pay. This isn’t a warranty its a complete joke as my vehicle is a BMW X5 so who would know better than these guys. Would not go near these idiots if I won the lottery. Useless

Worst warranty company ever. They shouldn't be called warranty wise, more like warranty dodgy. Paid for a policy which includes courtesy car. My car broke down over a month and after requesting a courtesy car.. I'm told, I can only get it, if the repairs will take more than 6 hrs, guess who makes that decision??. Yep you got it, warranty wise. Apart from body repairs, which mechanical or electronic part of the car takes 6 hrs to repair?? In order words, they sell you something you can never get. To me that's not wise, that's dodgy, then they point you to the T&C's on their website. If you you this company be sure to have your lawyer look at the paper work before you sign anything. Getting them to pay for repairs: That's another joke. They'll pay for 1.6 hrs of work, even though it took the garage 3hrs, then they don't want to pay VAT because the invoice should be in their name, but just also include your name and address.. talk about sketch dodgy companies, why don't trading standards clamp down on these scammers.

Good afternoon Mr Bell, Thank you for contacting our Customer Services department. I have taken the time to review this decision for you, and understand why you are unhappy with the decision at hand. However, looking at the information provided by your repairer, I can see that the decision made is correct as per your plan Terms and Conditions. As you are now aware, we specifically exclude seized components under Section F3.15 of your plan Terms and Conditions. Therefore, we are unable to offer cover for seized components under any of the plans which we offer. I can also see that this vehicle has failed it's MOT due to the seized calipers. As you do not have the MOT failure addition on your vehicle, we are unable to offer cover for any component which has caused MOT failure. The details of the MOT failure addition can be found under Section D8 of your plan Terms and Conditions. We allow a 30-day cooling off period for you to read through your plan Terms and Conditions and make yourself aware of what is and is not covered under your plan. This is double the legally required time frame, and the onus lies with yourself to ensure this is done and tharf you are aware of the level of cover which you hold. It is advised to do this at the end of every sales call made. Unfortunately, as this decision is correct and does not breach any of your plan Terms and Conditions, I cannot reconsider this outcome on this occasion. Should you wish to cancel this plan, please contact our Administration department at admin@warrantywise.co.uk and they will be able to advise further on your options here. I apologise for any inconvenience and should you wish to discuss this matter further, please get back to me in response to this email. There you go folks they dont COVER ANY seized parts on any of there warranty's pity they don't tell you.. there email back to me today

When replacing the tyres the garage found one shock absorber leaking badly. I asked to be replaced. Then I sent the invoice and the claim form to warrantywise to be refunded. After one month I call them to now about that claim. I was told they are not even look at it because my warranty had expiry and I didn't renew it. My claim was made before the warranty expired!!! I'll find out if I can do something about it. I was in holidays abroad and I intent to renew it after my return. But after this, not with them!! So, if you want a warranty for your car go somewhere else!!!

They had no leniency to a delayed service schedule where we could not get the car into a garage during extraordinary Covid times. Explained to them the circumstances and you would thought that they could be more flexible but no. I would advise not to use this company, go elsewhere.

They’ll get out of anything to pay for your repairs. My shock absorbers went on my car 500 miles into ownership. Despite the items included in my plan, warranty wise insisted they were wear and tear items and therefore not covered. Their own policy contradicts what they say on the phone, and they’ll just say everything is wear and tear

As a business owner this has got to be the worst warranty company going, the costs are well over priced and it’s not even worth the paper they are written on, If you are buying a car and it has this company as there warranty don’t bother buying the car as they will not honour any repairs at all, if you are looking at buying any of there warranty’s business owners or public don’t bother stay well clear of these cowboys you will just waste your money and still have to pay for full repairs as this company does not want to know and riggles out of paying any claim made. Cons cons cons.

Very bad service. Delay in my snaped timing chain and they told uts wear and tear so they can not cover. Strongly recommend not to us them. I regret to inform you that on this occasion your repair has been declined. Your repairer wishes to replace the following part(s) on your vehicle: 1)Timing chain repair We instructed a second independent vehicle examiner to inspect your vehicle who has confirmed. In our opinion based on the visible evidence we would conclude that the evidence found at the time of our inspection is consistent with wear and deterioration of the timing chains, causing the chains to become loose. The damage found to the bottom timing chain guide is consistent with timing chain slap. The fully extended top timing chain tensioner is also consistent with the timing chain becoming slack due to stretching, due to wear and deterioration. This has also caused the camshaft sprockets to become worn in appearance. The condition is wear and deterioration and some drive on damage has occurred. The fault would have been evident in the form of heavy rattling type noise. We are therefore of the opinion the chain has not suffered a failure as defined and drive on damage will have occurred as confirmed by the independent examiner. The plan excludes worn parts, parts which have not suffered a sudden failure and any drive on damage. We are therefore unable to progress your request I am sorry this is not the outcome you expected. If you have any questions or any new information you wish to be considered please email repairs@warrantywise.co.uk within 30 days of the above date.. Can you expect this answer from a company.

My policy number - 11931611 I purchased the warranty like most of you thinking when something goes wrong the company will pay out, but NO! When my timing chain snapped they made an excuse saying it was a pre existing problem? Hoow?? It snapped! If it was a pre existing problem I wouldn’t be able to drive all these days. PLEASE DONT GET FOOLED TO BUY A POLICY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU FOR ANY REPAIRS. I wish I checked reviews before I purchased from this company. As it seems like they haven’t been paying out other customers too and customers are taking all possible action to get what they deserve. Also I realised because of the direct debit guarantee they don’t take direct debit payments, they take it from your card so you can’t claim any refund, it’s a total scam! I don’t know how they managed to get away with it for so long

ConArtists, they take your money and when time to claim will find a reason to decline it, unhelpful agents who don't keep you updated. Never buy a policy from them, they have fake reviews to entice you to buy policy, don't fall for it

Another scammed customer here. The salesmen harass you until you buy. Then they will do ANYTHING to wriggle out of paying a claim. This is their get out clause: "Unfortunately, your warranty plan does not include the failure of any part which an independent vehicle examiner believes existed or more than likely existed on or before your plan start date." Warrantywise is not regulated by the Motor Ombudsman or Financial Conduct Authority. Use them at your own peril.

I have used the warrantywise for over 10 years. At start they were absolutely brilliant my car would literally be in the garage for about 3 days maximum, in and out. Practically everything was covered apart from the obvious things and now now over the years everything's being stripped back. They are the most expensive warranty company and it was totally acceptable because their service was second to none. But now the service they provide is utter rubbish they completely stripped back what they will cover. To add insult to injury they have got rid of their 1-link system so instead of it taking 3 days to get things done on your car it now takes well over a week. For those that rely on their car for work ect this clearly is a horrendous extra expense due to the cutbacks on this one's amazing warranty company. I've never had to wait so long for my car to be repaired and this is all due to to how long it takes for warranty wise to respond to my garage. Of course you can't get anything repaired until warrantywise come back and as they want to argue with everything that's been put through and how much things cost, considering I've got the highest level of cover that warrantywise offers. I can definitely say my 10-years run with warrantywise is definitely over they are no longer the customer first company they used to be.
