“The facilities are great! Swimming pool was warm and clean plus the onsite restaurant was nice. We hired a boat for the day which was also fab. Our stay in the lodge was enjoyable if I hadnt had to clean the lodge first...... quite grubby to be honest which was a disappointment.”

“We had the Port Room for Sat 21st September. A very large room with a 6 foot king size bed. A lovely large wet room shower. There was even an iron and ironing board in the room. Spotlessly clean and a free breakfast if the room is booked direct with Waveney River Center. You also have free use of the swimming pool. The room is on the ground floor with easy access. (No steps)”

“Beautiful site and surroundings, we stayed in the Hales Lodge with 2 Gentlemen with learning disabilities. The lodge was well laid out. the only thing I would say is the showers were not great, always too hot, or to cold no in between.”

“Loved it, lovely relaxing peaceful setting. Stunning view over the marshes. Not that we needed 6 chairs as there were five of us. But the lodge sleeps 8 yet there are only 4 chairs at the dinner table and 4 on the terrace Would definitely return. Please do send any special offers to me. Many thanks”

“Excellent location. The staff were all very helpful. The lodge was spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The food and hospitality at the Waveney River Inn was superb. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the Waveney River Centre to everyone!”

“A lovely site, we had hard standing for our caravan with services , water, waste water , toilets etc. nearby. Staff are very friendly & helpful, a slight downside is that the Waveney Inn's menu is limited but quite a lot of people were barbecuing so hard to plan I suppose. All in all The Waveney River Centre was a good experience for us. Les & Beryl Hill, Wigan.”

“The actual centre and facilities were great for us and what we wanted. However, I do feel that for self catering accommodation the lodge was lacking on equipment to cook for yourself and not everyone can afford to eat out all the time. There was no tumbler or pint glasses if you wanted a drink indoors and I had to ask for a bottle opener. I think you need to make clear which lodges have pets in them as I am allergic to cat/dog hair and needed to take antihistamines during my stay even though the lodge appeared clean . The lodges are a little bit dated (furniture) but comfortable.”

“First class accommodation! Lovely quiet location with good restaurant and access to the river Waveney. Downsides - very poor wifi /data due to remote location. Lodges / hot tubs are not particularly private.”

“This was our third stay at the Waveney Hotel The room was comfortable but we thought it is very `penny pinching` to not have toiletries in the room although it is stated in both your literature & on the web site that complementary toiletries are offered The service at breakfast was not g And when we asked how long we would have to wait we were told that due to a system malfunction the order had not been placed although customers who arrived after us were served. All in all very poor service and it is obvious that more staff are required .”

“We had a lovely one night stay in a yurt. So comfy and easy, stylish and functional. All facilities were spotless, pool, toilets, showers etc. Liked the thoughtfulness of having a freezer where you can refreeze your own cooler-box blocks. We didn't eat at the pub but enjoyed a game of pool and a drink. Big thumbs up all round!”
