“Nothing for older kids to do on site. Great if got a boat but pitch was poorly maintained and the shower blocks were often dirty when used. All facilities at one end of the site so jad to walk down. Shop closes at 5pm and only a small kiosk thats ok for snaks and ice cream.”

“An excellent campsite for families. Clean and friendly with plenty of facilities which are maintained to a very high standard. Staff are helpful. Pool could do with being open later than 5pm during school holidays though.”

“A lovely lodge, with plenty of room. Massive En suite, comfortable bed, and large dining/living area. Great views from the balcony, and Hot tub clean and hot! Only downside would be that there should another a set of towels, and more cutlery plates etc. Why only 3 side plates, which doesn't make any sense!! Lamps in bedroom, need to be either bigger lamps or have smaller bulbs. Maybe a reading lamp in the lounge area, as you don't always want to put overhead lights on. As the lodge is dog friendly maybe a gate, so if you are using the hot tub, the dogs cannot escape!! Overall, a lovely location with great facilities. We will return.”

“Charged on arrival despite previous payment through booking.com. Excellent room furnishings; disappointed room not serviced after our first night. Restaurant food good but limited menu options for vegetarians or those not wanting chips”

“Fantastic accommodation, lodge was brand new and very comfortable, but very overlooked on all sides so no privacy. Staff extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. Boat and canoe bookings easy and straightforward. Swimming pool disappointing due to the need to book one-hour swimming slots - this means it is rarely possible to swim when you want and having to replan days around available slots. This did not work for our family. Very peaceful and relaxing setting though.”

“We love coming to Waveney River centre and have been four times now. We like the facilities and its idyllic position. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. However our accommodation, Aldeby lodge, does need a lot of updating. The laminate was very worn and at places had massive gaps, the sofas were very tired and damaged, the French window door was broken and some of the window handles were also broken. Aldeby is an excellent position and deserves a make-over. We will definitely come again though.”

“After 5 nights in a lodge booked bysomeone else my wife and I stayed one night bed and breakfast. A very comfortable and well equipped room. The shower was one of the best hotel showers I have known. Breakfast was ok but we paid an OK price. Disappointing that there was no fruit etc. Centre itself is very pleasant and if in the locality would probably stay there again. Lovely place to walk around in the evening. All the staff we met were helpful and courteous.”

“Lovely quiet location! Our lodge (waterside) had beautiful views over the marshes. The whole place is really clean, tidy and well maintained. The pub, kiosk and shop are great. Loved the pool which was clean and warm. All staff were really helpful. Can’t find any faults with this place, we can’t wait to come back.”

“Didn’t realise how small the park actually was.had to go out every day due to nothing to do. No room to do it in. Parking next to tents, the road to get in/out is very narrow, always was worried driving into a tree or over someone’s tent. Kids jumping out in front of cars ,Especially when other ppl don’t park in the correct place, or people playing games in the road bit. Due to Toilet lock broke, ppl walking in on me 3 times during shower, reported it, they fixed it but by the afternoon the same lock was broken again. Your visitors don’t seem to care the toilets say engaged!they will shake that door till it opens. (But I guess what ppl do isn’t your fault,) Not enough air going into toilets/shower very stuffy & smelly as times. Not pleasant. Had a family of 4 meal in the restaurant, ordered our food , waited quite a while for it, but it was a little busy so we gave extra time for that, I ordered hunters chicken. What I got wasn’t chicken, but a burger patty with bacon cheese & bbq sauce. How does that happen.? My sons order was wrong to he ordered burgers with bacon, cheese but didn’t get the bacon or cheese . Your staff was apologetic & gave us free drink, but we had a long wait again for our meals . whilst the two ate slowly get cold so we could try & finish our meal together. When we got the meals they were very nice meals. 10:00 quite time does not work, we had ppl & kids shouting, screaming, loudly way after 12. Again not your fault, but if a member of staff walked around told them to be quite would have been great. Apart from that the river , boats is very nice views when no tents are there.”

“Gorgeous Lodge, very clean and well equipped. Hot tub was fab too. Staff all friendly and helpful. Only had couple of drinks in Waveney Inn but it was nice and food looked good. Hired a boat for half a day which was great too. Lovely quiet site, had a lovely holiday would definitely return.”
