“We stayed in a lodge, it was beautiful and very peaceful. The only negative for us was the late check in and very early check out, you loose hours of your little break! Also not provided with enough toilet roll or cleaning products.”

“4 Day Break to chill out , could not picked a better site . Rooms well sited to give views over broads and well appointed in both plenty of hanging and draws & large toilet with showers . Waveney inn great staff and a good menus and good portions”

“We travelled to the Waveney River Centre by river on our day boat and booked into the hotel for 3 nights. Our hotel room was very comfortable, the food and service in the restaurant was very good and it is a beautiful setting. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a relaxing dip in the pool.”

“Centre good facilities that kept our grandsons happy, fishing boating. Lodge was OK but overall could do with some TLC especially shower room and kitchen.”

“A lovely peaceful place with a lovely - well equipped - lodge that felt like a home away from home (Somerleyton Lodge). We loved the hot tub too! Would highly recommend the Waveney River Centre for a peaceful retreat with some helpful abs friendly staf. Look forward to going back!”

“Very disappointed paid £125 for a room. Barely slept a wink - walls very thin. Constant coming and going in the coordiors which could be heard through paper thin walls. Didn’t bother to stay for breakfast wanted to get out of the place ASAP! So disappointed.”

“Great week end .plenty to do hired cruiser up to reedham for the day and went for walk across marshes plus nice pool / play area .pub excellent .staff brilliant and food tasty and very good value.liked the different size portion options .”

“stayed at The Farmhouse. Was disappointed with the cleanliness as there were many cobwebs and dust together with items left by previous guests under the settee and also the beds. The oven was very dirty and greasy used it and clouds of fumes came out after heating when opening door. As for the flushing of the toilets this was awful as cisterns took so long to refill.”

“A lovely campsite with excellent facilities. The swimming pool was partcularly nice. We tried the restaurant/pub too and found the food and drink to be reasonably priced and very good. We’d definitely return!”

“We had a lovely 3 night stay in one of the lodges with a hot tub. We was greeted with a nice cake and fresh loaf which was a nice touch. We was pleased that we was the last lodge on the site due to not having as much privacy around the hot tub as we'd like, perhaps having the woven bamboo around the entire hot tub would have been better rather than part of it. The bed was extremely comfortable and warm, our stay was pleasant. Thank you very much.”

“We stayed in the Hotel Bed & Breakfast, the rooms are spacious & clean. The bathroom is like a wet room which is suitable for disabled and has a free standing shower seat. The Staff are friendly and helpful. We dined in the bar in the Evening the food was very good. We were told that the last orders for food was 8.45pm, but on our second night we were asked to order food by 8.15 as the Chef had been on since 8am and wanted to go home. We were disappointed the Bar shut at 10pm, we were told this was because a few people drinking in the bar was not worth keeping it open for. These are problems that Customer do not need to hear, as we were on Holiday and had paid to stay there we all thought they should keep the Bar open until normal closing time or all customers have gone. These are things that can easily be resolved. The River Centre is a fair few Miles from any other Pub or Town. We all would return for a Holiday & hope these issues have been resolved.”

“Lovely site especially with young kids. Excellent playground and lovely to be able to hire a river boat for an afternoon. We were in two lodges , both v similar. Both very spacious - much bigger than expected and well equipped. Comfy beds. Lovely bed linen. Clean inside but we were disappointed with the state of the decking and outside furniture. The decks need a good power wash and the furniture was dirty. When we opened windows (had to due to weather ) the inside frames of all were filthy. The pub/restaurant on site is good value. Overall, 3/5 as site is lovely, staff friendly and helpful, but the decks , outside space and outside furniture of our lodges let it down. We should have raised it during our stay but decided not to for personal reasons.”

“the poor star is for the Trail & sail package,park is good and restaurant is good, but the boat launching is bad, ..part of the slipways cement in the water has broken and can damage your trailer, always had to move hire canoes, kayaks when wanting to launch and retrieve our boat, the turning area was full of parked cars so we had to unhitch and re-hitch the trailer to get it onto the slip way”
